Started in Brooklyn and now in western Massachusetts, we have been making furniture for clients around the world for 25 years. We work with salvaged logs, with unusual grains, and with metals and other materials. Our furniture is made to endure, and be coveted by grandchildren and employees. Thanks to Holyoke's green hydroelectric power, 90% of our electricity is produced outside our door through a network of canals and turbines, spinning with the steady flow of the Connecticut River. Our shimmering canal connects us to the mountains, the sea, and to the spectacular forests of New England.
Services
These have evolved over the years in response to clients' wishes. A dining table is an important part of a home, and it should not only be beautiful to look at, but also be great to touch. We care a lot about a table's edge, its corners, and all its proportions. We can vary size and heights to taste, along with woods, metal finishes, and details.
Since we do not add color(stain) to wood, we are careful picking boards that match. No two boards are alike, even if from the same tree. We consider this to be a beautiful feature of solid wood furniture, and carefully strategize how different boards are put together. Important in this is the difference between heartwood and sapwood.
