Best baby store around! We were looking for a stroller for a while, they were extremely patient, professional and helpful. Local delivery was free, prices are great and they have a huge selection of pretty much everything. We'll be back for sure.

This place is the best. First time mom and came shopping for strollers and the employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful store. They have anything you need. The employees are all so helpful. Giving 4/5 stars because of the hours. I am a full time working mom, I would love to come in more often for random thhings I need with a toddler/baby but unable to because by the time I am home they are closed and weekends get so busy for us. I end up having to order online for whatever I need instead. Wish they were open until 6pm atleast x

Really wonderful experience! Dave the owner was incredibly helpful. He gave me great stroller and car seat advice and did not try to upsell me at all. It's so rare to have a shopping experience like this these days! So grateful that stores like this still exist! Support small businesses and shop here!

Terrible customer service experience. We were there with our son after we promised him we will go to minijake all week so he can choose a present for his birthday. Once we entered they told us he needs to be in his stroller because he is not 3 years old, which is super random as he was not misbehaving just wanted to walk around and choose a present.

They even did it let us pick him up. Only be in the stroller. This made him upset and we had to leave the store. We had our registry for him with the store even though it is our over priced and not worth it but we wanted to support a local business and we're planning to do the same for our expected baby girl. Thanks Very disappointing experience you would think that a toy store for children would be a little more understanding and have a welcoming approach towards children. Never ever going back! Overpriced store with bad attitude!

Just visited Mini Jake for the first time and had a wonderful experience. Blown away by how many baby-essentials they have in a charming neighborhood store. We went in for a big purchase (stroller) and Dave took amazing care of us. He walked us through a lot of different models/features/options. As a first time mom, the investment in a stroller has been one of the more important (and confusing!) decisions we've had to make.

We were able to feel confident about our decisions, and *BONUS, Mini Jake even had my desired color which was sold out everywhere else! The shop is super cute and comfy, well stocked and well organized. I was even able to do a quick breast feed on one of their dreamy gliders Highly recommend Mini Jake for any baby needs or gifts. And to Dave and Mini Jake: Thanks for being such a resource for the neighborhood!

Mini Jake is too cute! Everything is very clean. The store has a little bit of everything. The selection is incredible and the product quality impressive. We love stopping in for children's books. Many of our child's favorite books were found there.

What a cool children's store! This toy store is packed with a HUGE selection of QUALITY toys, entertaining and educational: wooden toys, legos, dragons, musical instruments, science kits, and awesome lunch boxes-- I almost bought a Star Wars R2D2 one for myself; stuffed animals, books, blankets, hats, gloves, coats and more. It is impossible not to find something here for a kid, from 6mo to 12 y.o.

They also had a very interesting rocker that you can swivel its base backward and you have a little for wheeler for a one-year-old ( and older). It was $129 and I can't imagine one toddler not going gaga over it, even the ones who are scared and cautious. We were two adults and spent a while there, and I could've browsed a lot longer. For purchases of $75 or more, they ship for FREE! Honestly, this is the best independent toy story I've ever seen. So many choices, you don't have to be a neighbor to visit. GO!

I absolutely love this store! They have a wonderful product selection ranging from strollers and car seats to toys and lamps AND the staff is beyond helpful. My husband and I had no idea what to buy for our newborn and they helped educate us on products and select the best stroller, car seat, etc for us. I'm so pleased with everything we purchased and will definitely be back!

Mason was in his class today he said that I have to go home night and then go back out for a little time with me and I will have to get him out of my house was that time of his time and he you know you don't want him too much but he was just like you don't have to be with me he's just so much and I know you have no friends is that you want him to come over and get me to come over for a little money was that he just got him and you said you had to be at your party was that I don't want you guys 133

Such a great shop! This was always my go-to for beautiful and unique gifts for the children and babies in my life. Since I had my own baby, I've gained a newfound appreciation of the range of selection at the store, as well as the amazing staff. When I had an issue with my stroller, one of their team members got down on the ground and fixed it for me - above and beyond! Such a gem in the neighborhood with the highest quality stuff.

Fantastic store for all your child care needs, and/or amazing gifts. I purchased a stroller from Mini Jake, and the staff were extremely accommodating after it wouldn't fit through my front gate. I ended up buying a different stroller from them and couldn't be happier. The selection of strollers is great (and most of them are in stock so you can take it that day!), and they have some really wonderful toys and accessories for kids of all ages.

This is a store that is actually BETTER THAN AMAZON, so I highly recommend getting off the computer and visiting Mini Jake for great service and everything you could need for baby!

I love this store. Anything you need for babies and kids you will find it here. The clothes selection is small, but cute. Staff is very helpful and sweet. They also have a ton of pumping supplies (Medela) for you breastfeeding Mama's out there.

Great shop for toys, books, and many other items your kid needs! They have a nice selection of furniture for your kid's room and quite a few strollers on display. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Super friendly staff and a great selection of practical stuff and fun stuff. We needed a swim diaper for a swim class and had about a half an hour to figure it out--they had lots of cute stuff to choose from.

I have no idea why people like this store. I came in on a Sunday afternoon looking for help finding a stroller for my upcoming first child. It was a terrible mess. Looked like they were having a sample sale but totally not. I was by the stroller section for 20 minutes helping myself before someone came over. They asked me if I needed help and I said yes but had to leave soon.

No one helped. It was so bizarre. I expected a lot more from a boutique. I compare the customer experience with Buy Buy Baby, except worse. Sorry, wanted to love it but did not.

Mini Jake? More like MEGA DANK. Legit Mom & Pop shop, owned by parents and run by real human beings who actually care! Yay! Best place to shop for kids age 0 to 12 if you want personal attention, a vast selection, and great prices. Yes, these prices compete with online prices and they have something for everyone from your cousins in south Florida to your hipster friend afraid of plastic.

Mom & Pop got it goin' on, and I always shop on holidays cause they will have a sale on EVERYTHING! Love those guys. Take a peak, get to know the staff, bring your friends, ride on one of those scooters without running over a kid--check'em out. You'll love it.

This store has been here since before being a hip Williamsburg parent was a thing. I always love to shop here when I am looking for a gift. The prices are bit high to stock up on baby gear but the toys and clothes are great as presents. I also used to buy HABA products when my son was little he loved them. Hard to find in stores so it is great. The prices are high but this is Williamsburg and it is part of the parenting world here so it has a market. It is also a great place to just look around and get inspiration on what do do with your nursery.

Love this little place! Great toys, amazing strollers. I was a little underwhelmed by their baby-wearing selection, considering how well curated everything else was. Only a few of the ok brands. You guys need some Artipoppe and Tulas!

This is one of my favorite baby stores. They pretty much have everything. They have a great assortment of gear like choice car seats and strollers. The owner (I think he is the owner) is always there to help and demo the gear. The prices are reasonable. So you don't have to feel like you are better off buying stuff on the Internet. If the my don't have the color of something you want in stock, they can probably order it. That's what they did for us.

I have two nephews and a niece, all 3 and under, and no children of my own, so I'm in full-on aunt spoilage mode these days. Mini Jake is my spoilage enabler. They have a bit of everything, and what's there is very well curated: books, toys, stuffed animals (they have so much variety of Jellycat stuffed animals, as well as some special puppets and handmade animals that are super cute), baby necessities like bottles and cribs and things (I don't pay as much attention to those tbh), blankets and muslins and bibs, etc.

I usually come away with a huge bag of books, stuffed animals, and at least one set of little animal-themed plates/bowls/cups/cutlery. I'm sure for any one of these categories you could find a dedicated store with more selection, but having such a GOOD selection of each in the same store is really invaluable. They also have a lot of natural toys (in addition to staples like Lego and the little piano crocodile) and ones for various developmental ages.

Mini Jake's curation of baby, toddler and kids' gear and toys is anything but pint-sized. In the fairly large store, you will find everything from feeding gear to clothes that nod to awesome Brooklyn (refer to image of cool Brooklyn emblazoned onesies). They've got the coolest in kid's brands. BlaBla stuffies, MilkBarn bibs and swaddles, MiniPim language books, SkipHop goodies. You name it, they've got it. A great place to pick up gifts for your little loves!

I was looking for some cute and unique little things for my daughter and found them in this store. They have a good selection on books and storing solutions. I saw nice clothing and furniture as well but did not take a closer look neither I needed assistance (something a lot of reviews point out as missing). The cashier was friendly. I think the store is great for gifts and parents who want some small things.

I went into this place reading a few yelp reviews about how they only look for the prime targets of the moms-to-be and I admittedly felt that because as I guy, I definitely was not helped. However, my wife who is a mom-to-be was fawned over. I was left to my own devices. Playing around with the scooters but on the real, they definitely have a lot of the holy trinity of baby needs. 1)Car seat 2)Stroller 3)Crib You know, I do not know too much about this whole father thing but I am going to learn and I guess if the people at this place would've recognized my desperate pleas for help I could've given this place 5 stars. wahhhhh.

My friends keep having babies and I keep having to buy shower gifts and birthday gifts. Thank goodness Mini Jake has those cute animal hooded towels and lots of great infant toys and Brooklyn themed onesies. They even have these onesies folded into the shape of cupcakes and lollipops. So fun. I overheard the staff telling another customer that one of their crib lines uses sustainably harvested wood and I think that is amazing.

They also have this whole section in the back with strollers floor models - it looks like a stroller corral! Anyhoo - if you need a shower or birthday gift, this place slays.

Babies can be stylish too. Calling all new age, hipster, artsy and intellectual mums and pops to be. Mini Jake is your one stop shop for all your baby needs: cribs, high chairs, bedding, toys, room decor, etc. But it's no Babies R Us. Mini Jake is where you go if you are anti Laura Ashley and Gymboree. The selection at this "modern children's store" is uber cool and very functional.

And the store is packed to the brim. The best way to describe the things at Mini Jake would be indie, eco loving, and smart. I knew Mini Jake would be awesome when I saw the makeshift robot created out of styrofoam and bubble wrap sitting outside. Inside, there is tons of fun robot stuff (kinda retro). They also have beautiful bedding from Dwell Baby and Nurseryworks.

Some of the bedding selection is organic and if you are totally clueless as to what patterns complement your home or what kind of furniture style to get, the guys here will help you out. I listened as one guy gave advice to a couple and he sure knew his stuff. There are a bunch of toys available with an educational twist. In the front of the store aside from the toys are also high chairs of the future.

The high chairs here make it seem like your child is sitting in an architectural feat rather than a safety chair. Mini Jake is definitely a niche store. If your home is lofty or modern, Mini Jake would be the perfect store to shop in for your child. If you are looking for a present, it's excellent. And don't worry: Mini Jake begins with babies and has things for toddlers and kiddies all the way through their early years. I'd draw the line at 8 year olds though. By that age you could move them into PB Teen or something.
