I would like to start off by advising anyone looking to purchase new good quality furniture to stay away from Sitting Pretty. Do yourself the favor of purchasing from well known brands and spend the extra money for furniture that is actually going to last. My husband and I ordered a "custom" sofa in March. We were told it would take 12 weeks to deliver but it took 16 weeks. Calling in to follow up was always an inconvenience to them. Peter, forget he exists after he sells you anything.

He admitted to my husband and I that he was willing to sell us a low quality sofa just to make the sale because he had taken a lot of time with us already. RED FLAG. Also, treats his coworkers with so much disrespect in front of costumers. Made several awful comments about them to us then later said he was kidding because he saw we were not very happy.

We should have known right then and there but chose to trust them anyways. We finally received the sofa last month after 16+ weeks and the quality is NOT what we were expecting. Does not feel anything like the sofa we sat on. The sofa we needed and wanted was firm due to my husbands scoliosis and we made that very clear when we were shopping for this sofa - that's is why they "recommended" the sofa we purchased.

It has been ONE month and when we lay/sit on the sofa, we sink. My husband can no longer lay on it as it really hurts his back. $3200 spent on a sofa that was promised to be good quality. I called them right away to let them know the issue and was completely turned away. They were no help and there are no refunds even when we were willing to pay a restocking fee.

I was told to hire another company to replace the filling of the sofa? What?! I have to pay more money to replace the filling because what they sold me was terrible? ONE month in our new home and can't enjoy our living room. We waited so long and are so unhappy. Do not purchase from this place. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Spend your money somewhere else.

Probably one of the last family run old school personal customer service business to be in Los Angeles. Places like these are what true american businesses were founded upon. Peter the nice gentlemen at the store walked us through the whole showroom and their design center. You could tell he's been doing it for a very long time. He was very knowledgeable on design and the actual products.

He was able to to give us very competitive prices and even throw in some goodies on the way. They delivered and assembled our whole home after their many visits planning out our new configurations. Thank you Peter for all the time you gave us. Our home was completely transformed!

This place is amazing! 60 years in business and counting. My family has been buying here for three generations. From the sales to delivery, there is not a better store in California. They sell more American made products then anyone else, as well as custom. I highly recommend Peter, he is the most impressive designer on the west coast.

Love this store. If I can't find something, the manger, Peter, will find exactly what I am looking for. Such a pleasure doing business with him.

Amazing people, freindly staff. I hate when sales people hover over you while you browse. Well at Sitting Pretty, They give you the room you need to look around and are available in case you need them. They have fantastic design sense and will bend over backwards to help with the smallest details.
