Scandia Furniture

If we were rating the quality of the couch we ordered it would be a 5. However we experienced a lot of miscommunication and poor customer service for the wrong configuration of the couch we ordered. Originally we came to Scandia because we had a specific couch and brand we wanted to purchase which they carried. We ordered a customer sleeper sofa which standard takes 14 weeks to deliver.

When it arrived it was the wrong configuration and would not work in our room (October 2020). We were originally told we could keep the sofa until the new order came (in another 14ish weeks) or have a full refund. We had no furniture in our new space, so we chose the couch option. We were later told they don't do furniture loans, but if they did it has to be leather.

After explaining further the wrong order was not our mistake and discussing for a couple weeks on and off, they agreed to loan 2 recliners instead which we were incredibly thankfully for. The second and correct sofa showed up in early April 2021, but was not delivered to our house until May 7th. There was a lot of lack of communication and delay from when it was delivered to the store to our house would be.

We still aren't sure why there was a month delay from having the couch in the store to it being delivered to our home. Overall, I would highly recommend the Luonto brand to anyone, it's a great brand and well designed. Maybe consider your options on where you get the couch as customer service from Scandia was pretty stressful. If you do go here, I'd recommend getting everything you expect in writing and document your conversations.

Incredibly helpful folks work here. There is absolutely no pressure from them to buy. Very knowledgeable about the products they have. Affordable furniture for what it is as well.

Scandia has the most comfortable and well made furniture! It is certainly worth a trip. The team at Scandia were kind and also very knowledgeable about their product. I have purchased two separate chairs from them and am very happy with the products they sell. I purchased one 6 yrs ago (holding up great) and one more recently. A family member referred me over and he has a chair that he purchased 10 years ago that still looks great and is comfortable. Scandia maintains a low key, neighborly environment in their store and shopping was fun with no pressures or hassles. Support this small business, you won't regret it.

First thing I want to say is the customer service from this store is top notch. I live in Philadelphia and saw a Hjellegjerde recliner while visiting Asheville, NC. Did some research and stumbled upon Mike Solac and his store in Minnesota. So glad I did. Recliner is awesome and delivery went smoothly and price was a lot lower than the Asheville store. I did have to wait about 12 weeks for them to make the chair, but it was well worth the wait. Would highly recommend the Scandia Store.

Awesome furniture at great prices. If you love Scandinavian design, this is definitely worth checking out. Quality is exceptional for the price point. Scandia Furniture does a great job of providing furniture at "tier" levels. Good selection of budget, economy, and quality furniture. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about their products. I will buy from them again if I am furniture shopping.

My wife and I were looking for comfortable recliners. We checked out Scandia and were introduced to the Fjord line and found them to be wonderful. We compared them to Stresless and I found the Fjords to be a much higher value of features and comfort for substantially less cost. What really impressed me at Scandia was the personalized service I received from the staff.

They were able to get our recliners delivered within a week's time - in time for my shoulder surgery for which recliners can be a life-saver during recovery. I've been recovering in my new recliner and remain extremely satisfied with our recliners and experience at Scandia.

They have beautiful product but absolutely zero customer service. Don't purchase anything from Fjords by Hjellegjerde. We had a chair about 9 months and the leather seat started to peel off the top layer of leather. It was under warranty, so we called and they wanted pictures, that we did send. Nothing happened for about 6 weeks. They did agree to get us a new seat, after many, many calls and emails, but wouldn't guarantee us the color would match.

It took 3 months to get the seat and than went it did come, they wanted $100 for labor to replace the seat. There are plenty of good furniture stores out there; unfortunately this isn't one of them. Don't every purchase anything from Fjords by Hjellegjerde.
