My family and I needed a sofa-bed for our apartment in Brooklyn. The sofa-bed that we had was damaged enough to make sleeping on it uncomfortable. However, when we tried to find a replacement for our old sofa-bed it was very hard to buy one that would be delivered within a reasonable time frame. At Scott Jordan Furniture we found a ready to ship sofa-bed that met our requirements. Melroy Beckles, Design & Sales Consultant guided us through the whole process.

I could count on Melroy's attention to details, timely communication and in general demonstration of customer care. Melroy and his team managed to deliver the sofa-bed to our apartment in Brooklyn in the time frame that was promised. The delivery team took care of everything that needed to be taken care of. I must say that the Scott Jordan Furniture team displayed a high level of professionalism.

Scott Jordan and all the staff were exemplary. We had custom furniture designed and installed as part of our renovation. They were easy to work with and provided top-notch guidance. They were flexible and thoughtful when helping us to negotiate needed design changes. The quality of the wood, finishing and overall construction was great. The design process, including multiple trips to our home to plan was done with the highest degree of professionalism.

We were already familiar with their work. They had done our bed, night tables, dining room chairs and file cabinet. When planning for new furniture as part of our apartment renovation, we immediately turned to Scott Jordan. We did not think of looking elsewhere. In summary, we highly recommend them and plan to use the company again.

I know Scott Jordan from many years ago on Varick St. A very discerning friend introduced me to his store. Wonderful furniture & at that time was selling mattresses made with new latex construction from Canada & somewhere else in Europe. At that time I only bought the mattress, my friend bed & mattress. We learned the manufacturing plant was at the Brooklyn Navy Yards. This has grown as a commercial center these last years. So it is a plus to have something made right here in NYC, where I live, & not worry about supply chain issues.

I've purchased quite a few pieces from Scott Jordan over many years and most recently, finally purchased their Sleigh bed after years of coveting the piece. Their furniture is simple but gorgeous and so well made. The delivery team is a smooth operation (efficient, on time, super polite/friendly). And they stand by their products- they came out and replaced the top board of a dresser that had a slight warp to it.

If you visit the showroom, ask for a tour of the woodworking shop if it is available- locally made, high quality furniture made ON SITE- a pretty neat thing to see in person.

You will not find any furniture as well made and sturdy as their beds and dressers

I was impressed that one of the delivery men has been with your organization for 30 years. When I went to Jensen-Lewis they told me I might have to get my own delivery company since I lived in Wilmington, Delaware. This could have been a disaster since any delivery company would not have been familiar with installing and setting up the sleeper sofas properly. Been a Scott Jordan customer for over thirty years. Just received a bed, two night stands and two bureaus. All gorgeous. Working with Melroy in the showroom and Scott as he reworked and redesigned a piece to our specs, was a pleasure. Patient. Diligent. Detail oriented. Their goal was to please us. And they did. On top of that, Scott Jordan's company refinished a dining table Scott had made by hand many years ago when his showroom was on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn.

Also reweaved the dining chairs. Looks brand new. Can't say enough good things except to point out the most important thing-our bedroom and dining room are beautiful with Scott Jordan's furniture.

Fpr several years, we've enjoyed owning a set of beautiful dining-room chairs and an armoire made by Scott Jordan, and we recently ordered two custom-made pieces--a coffee table and TV lift cabinet (the TV disappears into the cabinet). All are made in American cherry. We love the classic lines of these pieces, the meticulous workmanship and the careful attention to detail. We have also found every person on the Scott Jordan team a delight to work with. If your taste runs to solid hardwood furniture, this is the place to go.

The quality and design of Scott Jordon Furniture is superior bar none. Scott, Ania, Mel and the entire team are extremely courteous, helpful, and knowledgable. They take their time to ensure that every customer receives the attention needed for them to make the best decision for their selection. They are excellent in following thru and honor their word. I bought two American Leather microfiber sofas through Scott Jordan, one Quincy with ottoman and one Carson sleeper. Both couches didn't end up being very comfortable, but were well made (aside from the ottoman which was a terrible design, flimsy on its legs from day one). After 7 years being sturdy and firm the bed mechanism on the sleeper sofa became rickety.

It had a warranty for 10 years (I hear the warranties offered now are only 5 years) so I had the mechanism replaced. This process took several months and was not very professionally handled, but it got done. Unfortunately the problem remains the same, one section of the couch bed is rickety and makes a clicking sound when sitting on the couch or laying on the bed and repositioning your body.

Not great. Apparently American Leather updated their sleeper mechanism on newer couches but this one could not be retrofit to mine so I have no way of knowing if the new mechanism improves the problem I have or not. That being said, the bed is very comfortable and was perfect for 7 years, but now feels cheap and far less sturdy. The design is great for saving space when the bed is open but I'd avoid buying again because it was quite expensive to degrade so quickly and also because the couches themselves are not very comfortable, at least not the two models I bought.

Superb Quality, superb service. While furniture is not inexpensive, it is beautiful, extremely well made, and will last a lifetime. Hence an excellent value. Scott and his team stand behind everything they make and sell. Whatever you want can be done!

I have had a sofa bed from Scott Jordan that has been used as a bed in a studio apt.'approx. 300 nights a year for 8 years. The most comfortable sleeper I've ever had. Only now is the ingenious mechanism starting to wear. I get many compliments on the style and look of this sofa.

Company does not stand behind their furniture. I ordered a sofa bed and paid top dollars. The sofa did not work as promised. I wanted to return it, but was told once I paid the balance, I was on my own. Tried to reach the owner but sales person told me he does not take phone calls and to email him instead. I did, never got a response. Terrible service! Don't buy your furniture from Scott Jordan.
