I just purchased my first home and was browsing furniture and mattresses. I was approached by a friendly saleswoman (Maria!) who kindly backed off when I said I was just browsing. Then--I discovered their back room sales area and found her again--and she was so kind and helpful and took care of me like I was the only person in the store. She and the manager not only found me the perfect bed but gave me a great price on not just the mattress but the frame too.
I am a cancer survivor with significant nerve damage to my spine and buying a mattress is extremely stressful and difficult. I thought I'd have to spend twice what I did at Ruby Gordon. The price is great--but the friendly, compassionate, and personalized service I received was extraordinary. I never felt rushed. I never felt pushed into anything. I felt like they went out of their way to make sure I got what I wanted at the best price possible.

Maria was great to work with. She was very patient, attentive, and knowledgeable. I didn't feel pressured to buy things. I felt like I was furniture shopping with a friend. I thoroughly enjoyed my shopping experience with her and look forward to working with her for my other rooms I will be furnishing.

I ordered my furniture over a year ago now, February 2021. I finally received one item in November, and it has already broken twice. The whole back side of my chair separated and all of the staples exposed. This was supposed to be the "best of the best" furniture that they sold. I explained my last furniture experience and how it's completely fallen apart in only 3 years.
I did not want to go thru it again. The front seams of my chair got missed in an expedition and were never even sealed. The fabric and filling were coming out. I'm supposed to receive the rest of my furniture tomorrow finally! After 13 months, when I was originally estimated up to 16 weeks. And to add, no reparations have been offered whatsoever. So the rest of my $5,000 furniture better not break after a month too!

We just purchased a piece of furniture from Glen the manager at the Henrietta location. The whole process was simple and easy. They have a great selection of furniture( check out their website), many things are in stock( yes shocking) and fair prices. The delivery came on time and everyone was helpful and friendly. We went in hoping to find a nice recliner because I just got a surgery date and needed the recliner by the end of March and we were lucky enough not only to find what we were looking for but that they had it in stock! The manager Taylor that greeted us when we walked in was very friendly and helpful! Always loved shopping at Ruby Gordon and would definitely recommend this store!

This is the second living room set we have purchased from Ruby Gordon and we had excellent experiences both times. The sales manager, Glenn was very helpful without being pushy at all. Gave us an idea of where things were, that we were looking for, then knew the right time to check on us and if we had questions. We purchased a second couch for another room because of how easy they were to deal with. Also they had what we wanted in stock and delivery will be in 4 days, even in the Covid era, which is awesome.

All I can saw is WOW! This was my first time shopping at Ruby Gordon and I couldn't be more happier. We were greeted by the store manager Glenn and thanked for coming in! ( what a great surprise). I didn't feel pressured at all, was left alone to explore the store and really look. The selection they have is amazing. When I found the chair I was looking for the process was easy. Being a locally owned company made buying from here a simple choice. I will definitely recommend to my family and friends!

Had a wonderful experience today. David Boyers was our sales person. We appreciated how he greeted us, asked a few questions and let us wander to look for the perfect coffee table. He checked back with us as we wandered and helped us purchase just the right table. He was helpful, friendly and just easy tobwirk with. This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had with customer service. I ordered my furniture at the end of March of 2021. I was told it would be here by end of May beginning of June of 2021. It has now been 10 months and still no sign of the chair and a half I ordered. I never received an update about it being pushed out the first time so I had to call they told me it would be pushed out until the end of July, end of July comes no update again so I had to call, pushed out until the end of August.
So I made a complaint about the customer service I was receiving and it's just been one excuse after another. I called today to ask where my chair was because it was supposed to be here beginning/middle of January. Well as you can predict it was pushed out until the end of February. Nothing has gone smoothly since day one of getting this furniture.
When I picked up my couch and ottoman(that was purchased to go with my chair) all the legs were damaged and they told me it would have to go against my warranty so I had to fight that. Bottom line I would never recommend anyone to shop here. I've never been so disappointed in my life working with Ruby Gordon's customer service. We were looking for a mattress when we went there. It was our first time there. The sale rep was really helpful and helped us a chose a mattress. We did not want to spend a lot of money for the mattress since the ones on display were $2k+. We told him the same and he took us to his labor day sale section with few mattresses on a very reasonable price.
We have got the one shown in photo. We've used it for over 2 years and its still a great and comfortable mattress. I believe it was for $600 for a queen. Most mattress places does not display an economical mattress but if you are on a budget and want to try out a mattress before buying then this is a nice place. We ended buying another mattress from there for guest room and its awesome too.

Ruby Gordon has the worst customer service if you want a good product and excellent customer service go to Raymour and Flanigan they are no. 1. Bought a loveseat from Ruby- Gordon that was assembled wrong at the factory the arms had to be rebuilt. They took 6 months to repair it they blamed covid for the wait for parts. Come to find out they had the parts for two months before calling me.
When they did i asked for some kind of compensation and they tried to say that the repair guy told him that we damaged the arms. What a bunch of BS. He said they are repairing the love seat and paying for it. Yea right. So they took the love seat to there shop to repair it on a friday found out it was repaired the same day but took over a week to get it back.
What great service they have. ( NOT ). So we got it back but not 100% satisfied still not the way it should be but i don't want to deal with them anymore. Since than we have made some purchases at Raymour and Flanigan and you can't ask for better service, they treat you like a valued customer unlike Ruby Gordon.

We were very pleased with our visit today. There was no pressure from the sales team. They left us on our own to sit and try the chairs that we were interested in. No one followed us around the store. We both hate to be pressured when looking for a new item. It was a very good experience today and we will let others know about the time we spent in your store and the quality of your furniture.

This was really a great experience in purchasing furniture and Glenn who is the store manager just made the whole process easy and quick. We needed our couches by Thanksgiving so Glenn communicated with inventory to ensure what we could get in time. I really recommend not just this business but location as all the employees seen so helpful and wanting to help. Even cashing out, Yvette was did a great job in going over our paperwork in detail which I appreciate!

We placed an order for a table and chairs on June 4, 2021. The website and subsequent emails stated they are 6 weeks delayed. Understandable. After about 3 weeks, we got a call saying the order is not due to come in until the end of August. Aggravating, but again, we rolled with it. I called today, just to get a better estimate for delivery and am now told that they are looking at mid-November.
And what's better, because this is a 'special order' (what makes it special, it's a regular table and 6 chairs, nothing extraordinary) we are unable to cancel. Of course they don't care. They got their $1600.nothing for the customer.no offer of rental furniture for the time being. Do better Ruby Gordon.

I have had the best experience with Ruby-Gordon furniture company. I live in CA and my mother needed to be moved ASAP into an assisted living facility in Rochester, NY. I needed furniture in-stock that would work for a small apartment and could arrive ready to go before she got out of rehab. Darien in the Henrietta store was my rock and went the extra mile to check out everything I was looking at online and make recommendations and ensure everything was good to go and would arrive on time.
I can't say enough about the entire support team including Lauren and Dana. The furniture was top of the line, reasonably priced, delivered on time and professionally and when an issue came up (on our end not theirs!) the team went to bat to help me exchange for something that would work better for my mother and her medical condition. I am very grateful to the entire team at Ruby-Gordon Henrietta for their professionalism and kindness in this difficult time for our family. The extra mile was greatly appreciated.

The worst experience I've ever had with a furniture company. Months late on delivery, mud was tracked through my home when the furniture was delivered (delivery person could have cared less), the furniture is damaged, I've had to wait several weeks for a service person to even contact me. Still nothing resolved. I strongly recommend not purchasing furniture or doing any business with Ruby Gordon!

My husband broke his leg and I needed to get a recliner chair on short notice. My salesperson, Glenn, went out of his way to help meet all of my husband's special needs. Other staff in the store joined in to help and office staff stayed late to complete the purchase. The chair was in my living room the next day. I couldn't ask for more!

DO NOT EVER FOR ANY REASON BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! I purchased 2 chairs and a 5 piece sectional from these jokers, spending over $6K during their "remodel" sales event. Everyone was happy, store got their money, we remodeled our entire living room. 3-8 wks for delivery. Kind of expected it to be towards the end of the window due to special order. The week before thanks giving we were called and told our furniture is in and scheduled the delivery for the Friday after thanksgiving.
To prep we emptied the living room, painted and then scheduled for the flooring to be done one the Wed before thanks giving. Got rid of our furniture in the room figuring we could suffer with some folding chairs for a short time. We were not going to be home on thanksgiving so not a big deal. Wed night got a call to confirm the delivery window for Friday so the could deliver our 2 chairs. what, wait a minute what about the $5000 sectional that is the main piece? uhm, that's not in and is on backorder. or it might have shipped they weren't sure.
Wife made a post on FB, and we got a call within a couple of hours from a "manager" he couldn't tell the status either and told me that they don't have tracking info. He also told me to give him a couple of days to find out. We Wed the 27th still no call. I gave them to a half hour from close to give me an update and nothing. So I called and was told the "manager" that I spoke to already left for the day and he wouldn't be in until Friday.
I demanded a call from "adult supervision" with some kind of status. to their credit they called. turns out the manufacturer was holding it until January for some reason or other. the reason seemed to drift from problem with inbound ships or a broken down truck or something. But lucky me they were able to push the priority up to have it delivered by Dec 21.
Almost a full month after they told me my furniture would be ready. Apparently the idea that folks have to make room for new furniture is alien to them. The folks in the store or when you speak to them were very nice and apologetic but that was about it. I love the sectional and it has a very specific look, that I can't find at their competitors and because of the sale and special order I can't cancel the order or I would.
Do yourself a favor and go to Raymour and Flanigan or somewhere else. you will be treated with respect as a customer, and bonus get your furniture in a reasonable time. DO NOT SHOP AT RUBY GORDON

I wanted to give them a higher rating. They have some higher quality furniture at this store, stuff that will last and that you can order. We initially ordered a couple of chairs from them, and it was odd, but we had to fight them to take the fabric samples home to see how they would go with other furniture. But we took it home, figured out what we wanted and ordered it. We were really pleased with the furniture and the process. So, we saw they were having sale and decided to order to a new couch. This is where everything fell apart. We waited and waiting, no call about the couch, so we called them and learned, "Oh there's a note here in your file someone was supposed call to you." never did.
We learned our fabric was out of stock, so there would be a delay. Ok. So we waited and waited and waited some more, and WE finally called them. "Oh didn't anyone call you?" NO THEY DID NOT. There's a problem and the factory isn't sure when/if they'll get the fabric in, you can wait another two months and see, or choose another fabric.
This is now 3 months later, after we ordered. Three months, and they never EVER called us to say there was a problem. That, right there is pretty lousy customer service. Really lousy. We'll see what happens when we go in to pick new fabric.they had darned well better do something to make it right, or we're walking. There are other stores that carry these brands, and we can easily go there and start over, show them the price and ask them meet it, and that may just happen.

My intention is to call the manager of Ruby Gordon and tell him what I've written here. We specfically shopped there yesterday for furniture. We were advised on being greeted not to pay any attention to the prices on the tags as that was only the MSRP. Only found a couple of pieces that interested us, but when we asked for the real price we we told that they COULD NOT GIVE A PRICE UNLESS WE COMMITTED TO PURCHASING THE ITEM! WHAT? Needless to say, we left and purchased furniture at another furniture store. Its being delivered tomorrow. Have they become shysters? That is what it felt like!

Extremely poor customer service, my family was in the retail business for many years and if we treated customers like Ruby-Gordon does we would have been out of business very quickly. We ordered four matching chairs (1 in stock) in late May, because 3 were not in stock they had to be ordered from their supplier. They promised delivery before late June, no show, then it was mid July, no show, then early August, no show.they finally were delivered on September 5.
They never called us with updates, we always had to call and most times no one seemed sure on what was happening and they seemed irritated by our calls. Our biggest mistake we paid the full bill when the chairs were ordered, so they had our $1600+ for over 3 months. They finally agreed to deliver the chairs for free to compensate for holding our money and for the frustration they caused.
Bottom line.don't pay in advance and don't expect a friendly call keeping you up to date on your order. They can do better as a long time business in Monroe County!

Ruby Gordon has to be the worst for customer service. They lie and tell you what they want to hear and then do what they want. Upon calling to complain you may as well. talk to the wall. It is very clear once they have your money they do not care. No one ever follows up on your complaint. Price really means nothing if the service and respect suck.

We bought a sectional, rug and lamp from here. We cancelled the rug before it was even processed and the lamp was delivered broken. We were told we would receive a refund within three to five days. It's been almost two weeks and they are still processing the return. We will be disputing the charge with our credit card company because I don't think we are going to see our refund from this terrible business.

Buyer beware We bought a white leather love seat and couch from who we thought were reliable vendors Ruby Gordon Only to find out they do not honor their merchandise. About 2 years ago we bought the love seat and couch. and the love seat has started to have the white color come off. We had bought the extended warranty which was good for 5 years. When we approached Ruby Gordon we were told they would send someone to assess the problem.
After 2 weeks waiting for tri county and he looked over the problem and reported to Ruby Gordon. About a week later Ruby Gordon contacted us and that the manufacturer's warranty was only good for 1 year. We said what about the extended warranty we paid $200 for and they said it was not covered only for accidental rips or stains? They also said that the item was discontinued and there were no replacement parts.
They also said they knew of an outfit that was good at repairing leather but that it would be at our cost. When i asked about the extended warranty their comment was they had sent some out to assess the problem at their expense? I said big deal that it only verified the situation. We filed a complaint with the BBB. But haven't heard anything.
We cancelled the mattress we ordered from them and vowed never to do business with them again. We even went to ashley''s since the furniture was manufactured by them but they said they couldn't do anything since we didn't buy it from them. So i am saying to you stay away from them they are crooks and i hope they go under. PS IT ALSO HAS A SEAM THAT IS STARTING TO RIP THEY DID NOT EVEN ADDRESS THAT ISSUE

I purschased 2 chairs from Ruby Gordons Greece store. Where I live they have strict hours for delivery and these were ignored. The Mike when was informed of this blew them off. I called and talked to David and he could not have cared less and insisted they do not set times even thou the Saleman said there was no problem. Very poor customer service. Will never set foot in their store and suggest everyone think twice. Rate -O

My wife purchased a recliner sofa from Ruby Gordon. After being delivered I noticed the recliner mechanism did not seem to work well. It would not hold a position unless it was fully reclined. We went back to the store and spoke to a sales person and told him we were not happy with the sofa want to return it and purchase a better unit with a recliner that would hold its position. After checking with the manager, we were told it would be a $200.00 restocking fee. We will never purchase from this store again.

I bought a dinner set 3 months ago, after some days I looked up that missing a stretcher from one chair. so I sent an email to David from Ruby Gordon, who said me that in 4-6 weeks I will receive a new stretcher, but I'm waiting more than 6 week and send a reminder email to check what's is going on with my stretcher. he answered my to waiting more 7 business day, now I don't have another option only waiting for more 7 business day. I really disappointed what the people treat their customers, in unaccepted waiting for a long time to solve my problem.

A couple times a year Ruby Gordon usually has 50% off deals (but really I'm sure the initial prices are somewhat inflated) with free shipping and great financing options. Their staff will immediately meet you at the door upon entering, but are not that pushy if you let them know you are just planning on doing some browsing. We stopped by most recently looking for a new couch for the living room and ended up purchasing a dual power reclining sofa.
For several of the brands they have a large variety of different cloths, leathers and colors to choose from so you can customize your furniture. The sofa was a decent deal at $1299 and only $99 for a 5 yr warranty that sounded pretty decent. Shipping was free, which is a nice plus. Customizing your own furniture does add some wait time - approx. 5 weeks for delivery.
We visited in the past and purchased a coffee table & end tables for the living room. The tables were wonderful quality and are holding up great. Diana was the salesperson we dealt with this recent trip and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend checking them out next time you need some furniture, mattresses.

The sofa was a decent deal at $1299 and only $99 for a 5 yr warranty that sounded pretty decent. Shipping was free, which is a nice plus. Customizing your own furniture does add some wait time - approx. 5 weeks for delivery.
We visited in the past and purchased a coffee table & end tables for the living room. The tables were wonderful quality and are holding up great. Diana was the salesperson we dealt with this recent trip and it was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend checking them out next time you need some furniture, mattresses.
