I had the same experience as another person who wrote a review, Michael came to my house to evaluate the work, told me that he would be in contact in the next few days with an estimate and, despite my emails and phone calls, he never followed through. Now that I have waited so long, it will be very difficult to find someone else. People in the construction industry, in Santa Fe, string clients along to insure their income and put us at risk in the process. Unethical.

Michael planed and sanded some Aspen T&G I needed to weigh less. I called snd 1.5 hours later I had my wood, planed and sanded! Amazing! Now I can easily continue with my ceiling! Thanks so much.

My wife have tried since June, 2020 to have some cabinet work performed by Wood Design. Michael came to our home twice and took measurements promising that the work would commence in a week. Much to our disappointment there were no phone calls or other types of communication. Nothing. In November, we went elsewhere and work was completed in one and a half days. Would have preferred an answer of no the job is not for us instead of dragging the process out over six months

Just finished a large kitchen renovation. Michael did all the cabinets and the enormous Hickory butcher block island. Cannot say enough about the quality of the work and the responsiveness of Michael Moran and his team of artisans. We have never had such high quality cabinetry before. Simply gorgeous!

About 3 years ago Wood Design built a custom cabinet for our master closet. Although it took a while for it to be constructed it was well worth the wait as it has looked fantastic since the install. Michael matched the look and feel of the other cabinets already there. We absolutely love the end product. Oh, in Michael's defense concerning the extended time-line, he did say up front that they were finishing up a huge job in Texas. The cabinet took our closet from ho hum ordinary to extraordinary. Give them a try.

The people at Wood Design did an excellent job constructing and installing a walnut counter top. The wood is beautiful and the installer did a fabulous job fitting it into the niche in our room. I would highly recommend Wood Design.

Sam and the fellows at Wood Design did such an amazing job on my retrofit cabinets in my home. I wanted to keep my kitchen cabinets which were all in great shape, but wanted to add to them. They not only matched the original design- but also after painstaking trial and error matched the original color stain perfectly with my older cabinets. I would recommend them highly.

I spent months interviewing cabinet makers in Santa Fe, Taos and Albuquerque. I was totally impressed with my first meeting at Wood Design. Michael Moran had so many fabulous ideas, I received a tour of his impressive facility and saw first hand the high quality, attention to detail and pride he gives to all his jobs. I wasted time shopping around, but finally went back and settled in with Wood Design.

It was such a big decision on our remodel of existing home, and then adding on 1,200 sq foot of new construction, there were lots of challenges. First Michael redid existing doors to match new construction doors he was making and saved us lots of money. When our contractor was installing the new doors, he commented they were the most beautiful and best custom door he had ever installed.

We were so happy we hired him for the entire construction job, custom walk in closets, his and hers master bath vanities, laundry room and finally the to die for custom walnut kitchen! (do not go with a California Closet when Michael can design a fabulous walk in custom closet for you. I just love our walk in closet!) Every step of the way Michael and his design team were professional and absolutely delightful to work with.

Construction can be painful, but not if you choose to work with Michael Moran and Wood Design. In the end, everyday I admire what Michael created for us. Michael worked within our budget and gave us the best of the best! I got the feeling no job was too big or too small, and quickly learned that each and every job that goes out of their shop has Michaels perfectionist stamp of approval with custom craftsmanship you simply won't find any where else. I feel so blessed to have chosen Wood Design, and will be forever a huge fan! Thank you Wood Design for each and every inch of all our beautiful custom doors and cabinetry.

We have been so pleased with the fine work Michael and his craftsmen have done for us over the years. His care and consistent attention to detail is remarkable. The shop's cabinetry is top-notch, but we especially love the fine and unique individual furniture pieces. Nice people to do business with!

Don't bother unless you have unlimited $$ and can deal with an owner who's ego doesn't fit through the front door. Never gave a break down of costs - literally pulled a number out of his arse without actually ever looking at the cabinet plans. Skip it, don't waste your time or money.
