Designer's Studio has been assisting residents throughout central Pennsylvania with home decor and remodeling since 1987. Our team of designers knows how to take the right steps toward a beautiful, mindful, functional, and uniquely "me" home. Each one has their own expertise in gently directing our customers to think about and see the essential factors in making a comfortable, as well as functional space that welcomes, nurtures, and inspires those who will call it home.Nina Woskob is the second-generation owner of Designer's Studio.

Our 15,500 square foot facility is home to a unique collection of quality furniture pieces, statement lighting, area rugs, luxury linen and bedding. It's also the perfect place to find a meaningful gift!
In 1997, Helen Woskob opened Designer's Studio in a small room on Beaver Avenue in downtown State College, Pennsylvania. Helen originally envisioned her shop as a boutique showcasing exclusive pieces. Soon it became clear that the demand for Designer's Studio's unique furniture and accessories was far greater than could be supported in a one-room shop.
We know that every room in your home should reflect your own unique lifestyle. At Designer's Studio, we have worked with countless individuals, couples, and families to define what at home comfort looks like and feels to them. The process begins with a simple conversation and evolves into a project that allows us to address each part of the process to achieve what you are envisioning.

My wife has known Geri for over 30 years. He IS awesome and has great taste. We absolutely love our new Sherrill custom sofa. Many thanks Geri! Update: After only 2 months of use, the sofa began to make creaking sounds. Geri visited and agreed something was wrong. An upholsterer visited and indicated repairs were required to fix the problem. That was 2 months ago and we are still waiting for a resolution.
Very disappointed with Sherrill! Update #2: Designers studio came through and replaced the sofa. Thank you DS. However, almost immediately the second sofa began making the same creaking sounds. Again, very disappointed with Sherrill. We have a 30 year old Sherrill sofa in our living room and it is as sturdy and strong as the day we bought it. This new sofa, while very comfortable, is not nearly as sturdy, and the creaking sound is annoying and embarrasing when guest visit.
Remain very disappointed with Sherrill. I plan to reach out again to Geri. Update: I tried contacting Sherrill to request construction details (sorry, I'm an engineer). Sherrill wouldn't help. I called DS but did not receive a return call. After pondering what to do next, I recalled Geri asking me if the first sofa was level. I replied at the time that I thought it was.
Finally after the second sofa creaked, , I decided to check. It wasn't level, but only by 3/8th of an inch over 7 ft. After leveling with shims, the creaking has subsided. Thank God! I should have leveled the first one!
