2 Danes

I have been very pleased with the bed, and other bedroom furniture I purchased but after waiting months for the dining room chandelier that I didn't know was coming from Italy, I said I needed to cancel and received a very sour and rude response instead of assurances and apologies. These owners can be all smiles if you are purchasing many items, but heaven help you if you disagree or question, they really flip the switch. They have fabulous goods but have yet to learn good Southern interaction, there are just too many comments about their rudeness, it's really amazing!

I went in here to look for some unique furniture This store has expensive, unique furniture but frankly, the owner was an A- hole. No reason to be that way! I was stunned and left.

2 Danes has a great selection of furniture; a lot from the Scandinavian countries it looked like. I found it very refreshing to walk into a furniture store with modern and innovative furniture designs that you might not find elsewhere in the area. Their staff is very friendly and was able to walk me through any questions I had. I ended up deciding on this lovely sleeper sofa, though right around their closing hours that day. Shoutout to their delivery team for going above and beyond by delivering the sofa the same day as purchase!

My wife and I have been shopping for a few years at 2 Danes. The unique pieces we have purchased, from small tables to large couches are always of the highest quality. It is enjoyable to walk around and see a furniture store that also feels like an art gallery. If you want to support "local" retailers and also a great family owned business, this is your place!

By far the friendliest, most unique furniture store in Nashville! I can walk into 2Danes with no idea what I'm looking for or with exactly what I'm looking for already in mind and they've got it. Highly recommend!

In July of 2020, I happened to come to the store one day when the owners (mother, father, and daughter) were all there. They were very kind and helpful. We talked a lot about Danish design (one of my passions) and also their history of owning the store and how they got interested in Danish furniture. It was a fascinating history lesson and fun experience for me. I ended up buying a kneeling chair for my office which I love. Highly recommend!

This store has everything you could ever need. From chairs, couches, tables, stools, lights, and even artwork, I am always in awe when I visit 2 Danes. You are sure to find something you need, and a few more things that you want! And as a bonus, the sales staff was great, not pushy and allowed us to look around and do our own thing, but was close by and helpful when we had questions. Awesome store!

We were in search of a couch and accent chairs to replace our sectional. After visiting most of the major furniture stores around town and seeing minor variations of the same thing everywhere, it was nice to come in and see a distinct style. The staff was patient, helpful, and seemed to be genuinely interested in helping us find the right pieces. This wasn't the cheapest store, but it certainly wasn't wasn't the most expensive.

I also appreciated that the delivery staff was communicative, timely, and careful. We plan on coming again to take a closer look at some of the interesting light fixtures and maybe a replacement recliner.

Such cool furniture, hopefully I'll be able to afford it one day soon. Edit: I was able to afford a coffee table! Awesome build quality from BDI through 2 Danes, I purchased while overseas and they made the delivery easy with family members that were stateside. Great company.

I highly recommend the 2 Danes family. I found the store 6 or 7 years ago and have purchased from them multiple times. The furniture designs, materials and craftsmanship are top notch. I am closing on a new home in a few weeks and will be purchasing from them for the fourth time. All the pieces I have purchased still look new and they get lots of use. Jan and his 2 Danes family not only care about making new customers, they also continue to take care for you and provide service after the sale. I have always been able to count on them to assist with our needs. I can't recommend them and their products highly enough.

I've had two fantastic experiences at 2 Danes. Staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, courteous, and attentive without being overbearing. On both occasions I received excellent service with great value for money on two major purchases. Would absolutely shop there again without hesitation. I would like to specifically mention their delivery staff.

On both occasions it was the same two gentlemen in a 2 Danes branded truck. They were just as professional as sales staff - and get this - were 15 MINUTES EARLY both times. That kind of thing is just unheard of, and a huge plus. Super nice guys who set everything up quick. That kind of thing makes a huge difference to me.

One of the most unique furniture stores I have ever been in is 2 Danes in Nashville, TN. I have my eye on a recliner, and several other pieces of furniture here.

I was happy with my purchase of a Jensen desk and file cabinet. When I needed parts, however, it is was a different story. They had to order the parts and when it took a long time, they blamed the delay on Jensen. When the parts finally arrived and were paid for, I discovered that they were the wrong parts. I asked them to replace the wrong parts and they said they would get back to me. I've contacted them numerous times in person and by phone, but can't get an answer. I've never been given a refund or the right parts. It has now been about 18 months and no response. Needless to say, they provide horrible customer service.

The owners and staff are rude and unhelpful. God forbid you don't spend a thousand dollars or want to keep in a budget.

If you want modern furniture, this is the place! However, don't think of it as stark furniture with no character. They have truly modern pieces, but also furniture and accessories with whimsy and functionality. We buy from here because we can get something unique not found in the other stores. Also, the owners are usually there and are so helpful.

Well they look like they have some interesting stuff, but we'd never buy anything from them. We walked in today and the man behind the computer right across from the door didn't say a word to us. We stayed in there for a good 15 minutes and walked around the whole store, but the man and I think a woman who works there never asked us what we wanted, even though they weren't busy at all and clearly noticed we were looking at couches (at least the guy did--he saw us sitting on one and talking about it). I've been to many furniture stores, both alone and with my husband, and have never been ignored by the staff.

The only reason I can think of is that the people there are racist (my husband is African American). I may be wrong, but it was really odd and cannot imagine any other reason. Do yourself a favor and go a mile down the road to Sprintz instead -- we had a very pleasant experience there right after this.

I searched over four years for the perfect sofa bed and found it on sale at 2 Danes. Everyone in the store was so cheerful, helpful and friendly. It was delivered on time as promised. It is the most comfortable sofa I have ever owned. I have difficulty taking naps but I fell asleep on my new sofa! My guests love the sofa bed mattress made of high quality memory foam. We bought a sofa from them and it has been exceptional. It cleans as easily as we hoped and it has become the home base for our family time. The cushions are holding up and the fabric is still the same as when it was delivered (having been wiped down many times from spills). Excellent investment and it was far from the most expensive thing in the store. We would have spent much more at the mall or the other catalog/retail stores. Excellent shop local experience!

I gotta tell you - I'm pretty unhappy with the misleading advertising and customer service today at 2 Danes. I've purchased many items in the past and always been very happy. Specifically their delivery and installation services are fantastic. Today; however, was a different story. First of all - I've always thought a floor model sale meant that you were buying the actual floor model for better for or for worse in order to make room for new inventory.

After purchasing a "floor model sale" shelf, which I specifically indicated I was expecting to buy the floor model upon checking out at the register. A few moments later I was surprised to find the 2 Danes folks hauling a boxed, unassembled product my way. When I told the lady I thought I was buying the actual floor model she brushed me off by saying that this is "easy to assemble" and proceeded to shove it in my car before basically running back into the store, grabbing the base, shoving it in my hands and running back in.

At that point in time I probably should have marched back into the store and returned it. But I didn't.and now I have a lovely, insanely heavy packaged 6 foot shelf that can't lift out of my SUV on my own, nevermind maneuver up the steps to my house. I should have purchased this SAME shelf on Amazon for $150 less. Yes, I would still have to assemble it but at least it would have arrived on my porch and saved a lot of time, trouble and money. 2 Danes - I think you and I are done.

Update here. got the call earlier today that my replacement parts were in after telling them tuesday morning about what was up. i guess it's just as much a testament to how bad ass bdi is, but this made me like these people even more. gwarn, 2danes. now, speaking of tuesday morning. eric b

2 Danes is a contemporary furniture store that is located off of White bridge road. The furniture is a bit on the modern/ contemporary side. All of the furniture is really high quality and a lot of the pieces have bright colors. One of the guys that worked there showed me around and showed me some really cool couches. They had a nice big dark leather couch that I sat on, it was really comfortable and you could tell the leather was really high quality. The furniture is pretty well priced for the quality.
