Harmony Cedar started in 2001 with Rick working one of the Amish neighbors (Jonas) at his farm in southern Minnesota. Milking cows and farming was not providing enough income for a large family. However, they made high quality cedar chests, and the family needed help to get their new cedar chests to market.

We encourage you to order a wood sample or samples to assure your color selection, as the beauty of real hardwood is difficult to capture in a photograph. Our samples as pictured below, and the photographs on our website, all vary slightly due to different lighting conditions. We offer traditional oil and wax finish for all of our hardwoods, which is created from natural ingredients.
