A family business is always personal. When my mother, father, and I make decisions about Saloom Furniture it is with the understanding that we are shaping and cultivating the relationships we have with other people across the country that share our passion for design, quality, and customization. We are a small company located in the hardwood forests of central Massachusetts. Over the last three decades we have created a home here, not only for ourselves but for our craftsmen and women, and for creative freedom.
Services
Peter Saloom shown front left in about 1960 Ever since Peter Saloom can remember he has been making things. This passion took root in his Father's basement workshop in Mountainside, New Jersey in the 1960s. There he created things he dubbed "traptions" (contraptions). They were usually made of spare materials, paper clips, string, nails and screws.
Today I received my dining room set of a Carson dining table along with two Model 28 upholstered arm chairs and six side chairs. I couldn't be more thrilled. The set is truly beautiful and exceeds my expectations. The style, color, finish and upholstery are all top notch. The care and attention to detail make this set something that will be a treasured part of our family for many, many years to come.

After seeing the other reviews here, I just had to share my experience. We bought a Saloom dining set from LaChance in Gardner, MA in 2013. Here it is in 2022. I'll admit that I keep it covered, as the top is prone to small dents if used casually. That's the price you pay for buying hardwood furniture. It's an investment, and you have to take care of it.

The pieces are solid and the craftsmanship is impeccable. I love it, and would buy it again, as well as other products from Saloom. Word to the wise, though: don't bother with the maintenance and repair insurance policy offered at time of purchase (not a Saloom product). It's a racket and they will find a way to not make repairs.

Dont EVER work for these people so rude and inconsiderate. Fired my boyfriend because he was late one day for having a car issue. Keep in mind they just hired him he was there everyday for 2 weeks straight and the one day he has an issue they dont give a damn. They needed urgent help and he gave that. Apparently urgent help isn't actually needed. Waste of time.

Warning - seriously consider if you want to buy furniture from them. I bought a dining set of $2500 from them about 6 years ago and now the chairs are look like this after normal use. The problem started within 6 months after the purchase - paint of one chair slightly peeled off. We are not sophisticated in furniture and thought it is because we did not maintain it well.

With the time passing by, all chairs are no longer presentable so we decide to ask a repair shop for a quote. Surprisingly, we were informed that the chairs are not properly painted (or they use the wrong paint/finish). We contacted Saloom immediately and the owner acknowledged that the finish is not properly done. However, after knowing that the chairs were sold 6 years ago, they refused to provide any repair services as they only provide 1 year warranty.

We are extremely disappointed as we feel we would be better off buying a cheap set of 400 dollars from any furniture store. Do not hope to keep any furniture from Saloom in good condition given that how they treat their furniture and their customers.

I ordered a custom made dining room table from Saloom. I live in PA so picked the color/finish based on a wood sample from a local store. The color of the table I received was completely different and not what I wanted. Their customer service was terrible. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or solutions offered. That is not the type of service I would expect after paying $3,000 for a table (no chairs).

I love working here! Its a Great place to work. The work isn't easy but the Saloom's and the people who work there are amazing. I would rather do hard work with fun co-workers than to dread going to work everyday.
