First time shopping with this store and my husband and I completely regret it. We are so disgusted with the lack of communication and customer service it's unbelievable. For the amount of money we've spent with the store, we would have expected to receive top service. So our issue is this, we put in a request to have a technician to fix some blemishes on both night stands and a bracket on an ottoman.

He completely scraped the surface of the night stands and covered them with crayon! CRAYON! Also, instead of fixing the bracket, he broke both brackets and left in a hurry! We immediately called the store and asked to have a more experienced tech come out. A week later, he arrived and put in an order to have them replaced because they were damaged beyond repair.

He himself was even appalled that someone would do such a thing. Not to mention we contacted the 5star service company and they weren't any help. We uploaded the requested documents and kept receiving false information of someone coming to inspect issues with our furniture and to no avail no one ever called to set up an appt to do. Paid over $800 for a 5 year protection and feels like a total scam!

So after waiting 2 1/2 months for the nightstands, my husband picks up furniture from store today. Get home and bam-- one dresser has just been painted over. The top coat is completely different from the rest of the dresser and doesn't match the other dresser. We truly believe this dresser has been used because it doesn't appear as "new".

We also haven't received the ottoman after giving false eta's at least three times already. We have requested for our salesperson to contact us regarding up dates and haven't heard from her since making our purchase. We've spoken with managers regarding this matter and they all have given the same excuse that she isn't in at the moment but they'll give her the message.

Still have yet to hear from her. We plan to call tomorrow until this issue is resolved after that we will never do business with this company again. And might I add, when our order was first delivered in 2021, it all had to be sent back because every piece of furniture was defective. We should have cut our losses then. I will attach pictures except for the mirrored tv console that was delivered damaged as well.

Great selection of furniture and great sales staff just request a refund. They drag their feet with that. Other than that, I recommend this business.

Second time shopping at this location. I will say the sales team was extremely helpful. The first order came in with several defects that the delivery team was extremely helpful straightening out. My second most recent order came in with paint flaking off the front part of the console. Since I didn't see why I should pay them $200 to deliver less than 4 miles from their location I opted to pickup the piece myself.

I was told that I could either pay them the $200 delivery fee or I could bring the piece back for them to fix. The store manager informed me that without that fee she couldn't have someone come out to fix the defect in the furniture they sold me. Congrats ma'am you lost a customer who has spent thousands of dollars at your store over $200. Good business management!

Well.my issue has never been resolved. As you can see from my first post months ago (March), I am highly disgusted with this company. Please see my previous reviews. Not only did it take forever to get my furniture which I paid IN FULL at the time of order Summer, 2021, then they came back and wanted MORE money for my furniture when it finally arrived many months later.which is completely unethical and truly against the law.

They basically told me to take it or leave it as they could now sell my furniture at a higher amount than what I paid. Jake, manager from the Long Beach store, contacted me, understood my issue and said he would get back with me on April 5th and I have not heard another word.even after sending numerous emails. Billie C who is supposedly an owner is aware of my issue. This has been going on way too long and I would certainly be cautious dealing with this store.

Got ripped off by store! we had to switch furniture because other was taking to long to come in. sales had us sign off on new furniture and pay a little extra after claiming gave discount. after delivery and finally getting office to email me copies of what I paid for, it shows they DID NOT give discount as told us. Called GM 3 times who refused to return call.

Left 4 messages at store for manager who finally called back and acted dumb about it. After the fact, was told that Chris had us sign paper's agreeing to pay total so refused to refund difference. Spent 10,500. also bought warranty on mattress so could return if did not like. they refused to handle over phone after spending 2 hours picking out new one and lied about price. was given one price at store and inflated price over phone and wanted me to pay 950 extra after paying 3400 for king set. this is how they stop you from using the return policy.

They all give you different prices so you get frustrated and do not return things! This is my 3rd house purchased with them and was my last. They sure have went down hill with customer service. Very Sad that a family business has gotten so big that they forgot about customer service. I refuse to speak with Managers Kasey or Katarina. Either would return calls or assist

Beautiful store. Beautifully decorated. Brit helped me pick out the perfect sectional and I was amazed that it was in stock. She was sooo sweet and helpful. The desk help was wonderful also. We had a great experience

I've been waiting on my bed-set since July and it is now February. In the process my salesperson quit and made false promises on the ETA each time we spoke. Now, my furniture is finally in and customer service scheduled the wrong date to deliver my furniture. I now have to wait another week! Do not shop here unless you want to wait more than half a year for your furniture!

Not honest people and you pay more for everything. Purchased a recliner and the salesperson told me of the 20% restocking fee if I wasn't happy with my purchase. The delivery fee of $250 from Covington to Hammond was added and when it arrived it was not the color I saw at the store. Due to the low lighting where the chair was I found that it was dark blue not black.

I told the salesperson I saw the black recliner in the back corner of the showroom that I was wanting. When I spoke to the manager to return it, I was told recliners can't be return and restock, she said "read the back of your invoice". I need another recliner chair but not from them. Rooms-to-Go delivery fee is $119 from Baton Rouge to Hammond plus more options on the chair, hundreds less (real leather).

Never ever ever again will we do business with this company. They are dishonest and do not know how to communicate. We were told how many weeks our furniture would get delivered and it got pushed back another two months. I wouldn't have known this had I not called. The sales person we worked with doesn't know how to return calls or emails. This place is a joke and poorly run. Very unfortunate considering they have nice things. One star rating is generous.

Beautiful furniture in the store but apparently you will never get to sit on what you buy. I ordered sofas, two recliners and a bed in February 2021. Here we are mid-July 2021 and still no recliners. 5 months and counting, when I call to inquire, they are nice but have no idea when I might expect my $4000 dollars in chairs.

**DO NOT BUY FROM AFD** I bought 2 pieces of furniture from the Covington location on 1/31/2021 from Michelle. The first piece was in stock and delivered without problem 2/3/2021. I heard nothing from anyone for the next 30 days. I called the office on 3/3 for an update and was told it would be in within the next two weeks. I called on 3/20, 3/22, and 3/30 being told each time the unit would be in that week and would get a delivery call in the next few days.

Each time being told something different by someone different. I left several messages for Kacey (manager) which she said she never received and finally she comped my delivery after I told her that was the least she could do. Finally on 4/9/2021, I called and spoke with someone who said the system had changed, my piece was in, and they could set up the delivery from the front desk.

They set my delivery for 4/14. The first call I ever received from AFD was on 4/12 to confirm my delivery on 4/14. The second piece was delivered on 4/14/2021 and it was damaged. The delivery crew documented it and told me that someone would reach out to be before noon the next day and if not - to call and speak with someone. No one called and therefore I left messages for Kacey (manager) again on 4/15, 4/20, and finally on 4/27 when I called (again - never received a call from AFD) spoke with Kacey where she input the Service claim blaming me that I should have put the service claim in myself - yet no one told me to do so.

I received a call on 4/29 from the warranty department where I told them I just wanted to return it and not get service and they told me that I had to speak with the store - not them for returns. I called on 5/5 and left another message for Kacey. No return call. I have been dealing with a family situation and finally got around to calling again to schedule the return.

I am now being told that since it has been in my possession for over 30 days Kacey can't approve a return and Josh will allow the return but issue a store credit versus a refund. I have been given nothing but the run around while trying to do the right thing, trying to keep my calm but this has been the worst customer experience I have been through in a very long time.

I know this will change nothing but I wanted your team to see the HORRIBLE customer service provided and see how fitting since your calls say how customers are the most important people that walk through your door.

Buyer beware! Purchased a sectional, the salesperson told me that the slipcovers were washable. Untrue, there is no way to remove them. She recommended that we purchase their Furniture Protection Plan For $400.00. That would provide 5 years of protection from common household damage. This sounded good as I have a small dog. I submitted a claim a year ago.

The young man that cleaned the stain & left the cushion to dry. Days later it was apparent that the stain was still there. I let it go. On 1-15-21 I submitted a claim for a pet stain. On 1-19-21 I was denied coverage. On 1-20-21 I called AFD and they said they would return my call. When my call was not returned, I called and asked to speak to manager.

I told her I was unable to reach the company that denied my claim. She gave me 6 numbers to try. When I finally reached someone at the insurance company in Florida, they said the photo did not meet their coverage. They made the determination that it could not be attributed to a single incident. (pet accident.) They did offer to send a serviceman out at my expense!

This is all unbelievable to me. I spent over $6000.00 and this is the customer service I receive? AFD definitely let me down, it was my favorite store. I will never shop there again. Now I am out $400.00 and I will clean my own sofa.

I knew what I wanted so didn't need help from a sales associate. The delivery process was horrendously disorganized. The day of delivery I received a phone call that they were at my new house but no one was home and they couldn't wait. He had 2 more quick deliveries and then was going home. It was 1:30pm. Not to mention they were supposed to assemble the bed.

He wasn't willing to wait for me to drive over there within 20 mins. So I told him to leave the boxes. He basically hung up on me after I told him that. When we went to assemble the bed, parts were missing. I Had to call the store 3 days in a row to finally reach someone to order the parts. It would take another 2 weeks. Never received a phone call when the parts arrived.

I had to call several times myself. My boyfriend went to pick up the parts instead of risking delivery problems again. They gave him the wrong box and again missing parts! Not to mention when I spoke to the delivery supervisor he essentially defended the delivery guy that he's one of their better ones So obviously nothing would be done regarding that issue. Won't be buying from there ever again

3 minutes ago-Edit Do not buy from these people if you expect any type of warranty or customer service! I cannot believe I'm living this nightmare and not one phone call from anybody from this place. I bought a $4,500 sectional sofa with full warranty. In 8 months I noticed the down feathers were already coming out and poking everyone sitting on it.

Now I know down fill does that over time.after 10 years maybe if its high quality not 8 months! But that wasn't the issue, the issue was the noise the couch made when you sat on it. The wooden frame inside was like an old door opening. squeaking. There were also noticeable fabrication flaws too. This is not FDF's fault it's the manufacturer. Great! so lets get the warranty machine going.

That took 45 days for someone to come out by the way no one called me back to discuss, a guy called and said lets schedule an appointment after 45 days of leaving messages with AFD (American Factory Direct) warranty. After that gentlemen leaves fast forward another 65 days of no phone calls countless voice mails I left to get status.nothing! crickets!

I finally get someone usually the lady who answers the front line is very sweet. But that's not her job. There is no leadership at this place and they bury these "warranty" events and hope you just go away. Here is the best part lol! They finally come and get my couch they leave my cushions to sit on the floor. I asked them prior to pick up, do you guys leave a sofa in the interim during repair?

No we don't do that they replied. Okay how long will it take to turn around I asked? They picked up on a Tuesday and said by Friday I'll get it back. It's now next Tuesday. I don't have another sitting apparatus for me and my three kids not FDF's fault but if I would have known my couch is now in warranty abyss I could have planned.

I just spoke to them and no mgmt will hear my plight (no leadership/don't care) no idea when I'm getting my couch back, no customer service at all, poor product, $4,500 out of pocket.priceless! Run people go to Doer Furniture or across the Lake! That's my sitting situation 8 days and counting.

We have been dealing with the New Camellia location for some months now. Initially we communicated with Christian that we were looking, but waiting to actually purchase our furniture until after our closing, and were told that the price would be significantly higher if we didn't act on it faster. We went the week of January 21 to make our purchase, and had always been told that while the furniture we chose was not in stock, it would be available on 1/31.

We ended up purchasing our furniture with Mary (at the same lower price that it had always been) and were told that if Christian said it was by 1/31, that's probably correct. At this time we thought we would be without our bed for just a few days, no more than a week, and got rid of our existing bed. We contacted them on 1/31 and were told it was running just a little late, and then again the second week of February and told it would be in later that week, no later than early next week.

Each time we have called, our salesperson Mary will not call us back, and only insists on communicating via text message. We called again requesting to have an actual conversation with her and were only sent apologies via text and that our furniture would be arriving by the end of February now. We asked if we should explore getting a refund and buying elsewhere so we could have a bed and she said she could give us a refund, we would have to just come in and complete the paperwork.

We felt this late in the game that was unnecessary since we were leaving to go out of town and would be home the last day of February. We called the morning of February 29th, and asked to actually speak to Mary again, not via text, and Madison told us she would relay the message for Mary to call us, we never received a callback or even her usual choice of response: a text.

Today is Monday 3/2 and my husband has decided to contact them and specifically asked to speak to a store manager and the person who answered continued to ask who the salesperson was so they could patch him through to them, after asking numerous times, he was never patched through to a manager. At this rate we have been without a bed for five weeks, and have been told by them each time that our mattress is available in stock, but it's not very beneficial for us since there is no point in picking up a brand new mattress purchased from them to sleep on the floor and compromise our brand new mattress. Needless to say the lack of communication and misleading information had been a pretty unpleasant experience for us. We plan on going in today to get our refund and make our purchase elsewhere.

I need over $30,000 to start out of better quality furniture. I went to Hurwitz Mintz then to AFD. When I went in the first time to AFD, I found out the person I wanted to buy from no longer works there. I found out where to go to find that person, from a employee at the counter. That salesperson I bought from over 20 years ago, is the most honest retail salesperson I ever bought from and was a GM too?

Christian (salesperson) didn't tell me he knew who I was talking about. The salesperson that greeted me was Christian, who pressured me to buy so hard I left. He proceeded to tell me he's the number '1' salesperson. I drove my fairly new SL63 AMG and possibly it was spotted by the front door because Christian was on me like 'white on rice'.

About 4 weeks later, I went back and purposely picked a day Christian was off. This trip, I got a seemingly nice but flirtatious (I'm a pretty old crow too) salesperson by the name of Stephanie. Maybe it's just her modus operandi with men in general to be flirtatious? I do understand they're on commission but I don't give out my vitals when I'm shopping at retail stores.

At Hurwitz Mintz my approximate total came to over $35,000 but I had a very bad experience at Hurwitz Mintz after Katrina, so I didn't buy. I sold my home recently on Fish Hatchery road and my new custom home is getting the finishing touches now. We have a nice 4000 sq' family home (camp) on the Tchefuncta River, that I just bought a lot of furniture for.

Not particularly high end furniture, because our Tchefuncta house is our gathering place, where we go out fishing or have family BBQ's, etc. Being my favorite pastime is golf, I bought a large double lot on a nice Golf and Country Club years back and now that I'm in my twilight years I hope to spend more time playing golf. I'll make the first of a many large furniture and major commercial appliance purchases for my new home soon. I'm still not ruling out AFD furniture store but AFD will need to win me over after my 2 somewhat bad experiences. I'll update this review, if I feel they've earned my loyalty.

I video recorded (my grand daughters idea and gift) with my pocket body cam each trip to review at home. I saw furniture that I think will be perfect. That's a good start!

Great selection of indoor and outdoor furniture. However Kathy the sales person was VERY rude. She followed us around complaining of a headache and not feeling well most of the time. We found a bedroom set we LOVED and were discussing prices. While looking at the "bundle" price the numbers weren't adding up so we were asking details on the prices.

She got very offended that we were trying to price it out ourselves and loudly said "I'm not arguing with you!" We were floored! No one was arguing! We just needed to know how the numbers were adding up. She lost a $2,000+ sale for sure! Not to mention we were going to buy a couch too! Then we told the owner and his response was "good luck hope you find something"!

Well we did! We went to Rustic house furniture and got SOLID wood with great customer service! I highly suggest you to try Rustic House before you even entertain American factory!

This company is horrible. The sales reps are unreliable and the management are totally unresponsive and don't care about your business. Stay away from AFD if you are looking to build out a new or existing space.

We just bought a house in Mandeville and needed to get some new furniture pieces for our growing family. After shopping some of the area big box stores, we checked out what was at AFD. We were promptly greeted by more than one of their salespeople, but none were pushy as we browsed through their showroom. We ended up finding the perfect sectional sofa for our new living room, a sideboard for china storage, and a desk for our home office.

All were at reasonable prices and much better quality than the big boxes had for a similar price. Also, don't forget to check out their clearance center to the right side of the distribution center. They're only open Thursday through Saturday, but there's some great deals to be had if you don't mind some dings and scratches. You have to load the furniture yourself, but it's well worth the savings you get!
