In 1995, sensing a market for colorful, well-produced home furnishings, she founded her textile company, Susan Sargent Designs. Based in Vermont, Susan partnered with vendors and artisans in India, China, Poland and Italy to develop a range of goods for the home furnishings industry. The initial collections were rugs, accent pillows, and bedding. The product lines were sold wholesale through showrooms in Atlanta, High Point NC, and New York and a national sales rep network. During these years her company sold to over 1000 accounts in the US.
Services
Susan's distinctive palette has been applied to a wide range of products, some produced by her company and some through licenses with a variety of others. Most notably rugs, decorative pillows and home furnishing fabrics, designed around a coordinated color palette. Products shown are from the Design Archive and not currently for sale.
