There is incompetence among the staff and management. On 5/28/22, I ordered six dining room chairs. Upon ordering, the salesperson informed me the chairs were in stock. I was told my chairs would arrive next week. We kept getting calls from Marlo about parts of our chair being on back order, and Marlo cancelled our 3 delivery dates, causing us to miss work for chairs that never arrived. We were asked to pay an additional amount to cover the backs of the chairs after the third cancellation by Marlo!

My first experience when purchasing was great. Once it came down to delivery and dealing with the "warehouse." The store blames the warehouse but my sister was very patience. Six months later. My sister brought furniture and the experience has been horrible. No manager is ever available. The sales manager didn't want to help he sat in the office on his phone. Took my sister 6 months to get furniture and they still haven't fixed the issue she paid for charging ports and the sales person verified and they still haven't fixed the issue.
She has two email to two different people to confirm. They are eager to take ur money but when issues arise no one is available seeing as everyone leaves the store at 6:30 even though it stays open til 9. I recommend to not buy here go somewhere else where ur money is appreciated!

The customer service displayed by by Mr. Q today was exceptional. We walked in today with a general idea of what we wanted. However, it was due to his patience and knowledge of various furnitures that we were able to walk out with everything we needed. He took his time showing us around until we were sure about what we wanted to get. His transparency on prices, financing, estimated delivery time was also a huge help. Thank you so much!

I love Lee Lee. I came into the store today and asked for her because she helped me the last time I was here. I kept her business card to remember her. Excellent customer service and she is very knowledgeable about the products and services. It is because of great customer service that I received is why I will come back to Marlo's. Found this place over the weekend. Desperately looking for a dining set. Spent time with Marlene who worked her tail off trying to find me something I could work with. Ultimately I was not able to find anything but it was not for a lack of trying on Marlene's part. I'd go back if I need furniture in the future

Here's an update. I finally got my furniture after buying it in July, I was told it would be delivered in October, and was given the run around without any updates and no returned calls. The delivery guys bicker about how to get it in the door properly. There was a hole put in it. One asked if we spoke Spanish(so he could trash talk) and discussed how ugly he thought my dog was with his coworker.
The guy told me he would give me $200 for the hole in the sofa which was kind of strange. When asking for the $200 he tells me that if he takes it back he won't have to give me anything. I've been waiting for months, who knows when I would get a replacement if ever. This was a horrible experience. Marlo I think I'm done with you guys. Highly disappointed

Lee Lee was exceptional. She had phenomenal patience with me as I was selecting several different pieces for different rooms. She gave me time and space and spent over four hours with me! She made my experience fun and stress free! She handled my constant changing back and forth like a pro. Not only a pro but a sweet natured person that put my needs first. Excellent experience, would recommend Lee Lee to anyone that has furniture shopping needs!

Purchased a two piece sectional, piano wedge, and ottoman on 9/4/2021. Was told it would be 8-12 weeks, possibly longer due to production/port delays. I called at the end of October and was told they had the piano wedge and ottoman, but were still waiting on the two piece sectional and they'd maybe have it mid November. I called at the end of November and was given a new delivery date of 12/15/2021. Called again the week of and was given another date of 12/31/2021.
I asked about any type of compensation they might give to customers who have waited over 12 weeks to get their pieces and the supervisor told me they'd give financial compensation but the amount depends on how much the customer spent and how long they waited until their items were delivered. 12/31/2021 came and went and I called again at the beginning of January and was given a date of Jan 15, 2022.
The distribution dept finally called me the week of to schedule delivery. Got everything delivered on 1/14/2022, however the ottoman (which they had in stock since October) was the wrong color. So I had to call the store again and have the supervisor find me the right color and schedule another delivery. In the meantime I asked her again about the compensation and she told me that corporate said they were no longer giving compensations since the start of the new year.
I was pretty frustrated with that since no one told me that update because MIND YOU no one ever once called me proactively until my pieces were in and the distribution dept called to schedule delivery. For being such a well established company, it's such a shame they lie and treat their customers this way. They will take your money and you won't hear from them until your furniture is in stock.
They will blame other departments and the supervisor will not take ownership of any mistakes or errors she made. Save your money and business and shop elsewhere, we had a much much better experience at Ashley HomeStores both in the store and receiving automatic updates via text and email regarding our order. I last spoke to the supervisor at the end of January and am STILL waiting on her to call me back after she claimed she'd ask the district manager if an exception can be made regarding the compensation she promised me back in December.

Excellent service from beginning to end from Ishmael and Marilyn. They were both professional, courteous and engaging. I like that they were knowledgeable about their products. Not too often you go to an establishment and the workers try to go above and beyond to ensure you're satisfied with your purchase. Ishmael and Marilyn definitely went above and beyond in ensuring we had a memorable experience.

BUYER BEWARE! I get it, it's Covid so they will hire anyone and it shows. My mother purchased a $3K dining set (with warranty) and discovered there was damage to a chair after the (72 hour issue) policy. My mom is 75 and her eye site is not the best. Not to mention that the driver is supposed to inspect the product and clearly that wasn't the case. Biggest issue is that nobody from the store, cooperate or the warranty place are willing to help with the issue. Now, the "supervisor" from corporate that helped me was the rudest most inconsiderate verbally abusive person I've ever encountered from a customer service stand point.
And let's not forget the laughable name they have of "Customer Care Department." The damaged is clearly from shopping or assembling. It looks like when cutting open the package, the razor blade caught the edge of the fabric on the chair. Clear as day! I used to work retail so I know what that looks like. My mother is can't believe that business like this are allowed to operate. Regardless of policy, there needs to be better product handling. Next stop, The Better Business Bureau!

I had a good salesman, but the sofa that I bought was in back order, the invoice shows that I will get it between 8 and maximum 12 Weeks. I called customer service at week 8th, they said I will get the sofa one more week later (13 weeks in total at that time). I just called customer service again (week 11th), to check the status and they added 6 more weeks, so I probably get the sofa in 19 weeks but they are not sure because maybe is more time.
I feel totally betrayed, not serious answers and zero control of expectations. They were very nice selling and charging, but not delivering and providing. Totally disappointed.

DON'T EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM HERE. I brought a sofa and loveseat in June and waited for 14 weeks to for it to delivery. When my sofa delivery, the the delivery team scratched the loveseat and stated it was nothing. When it has a big scratched. Now I called them, they estimate of receiving the loveseat until January. Best to buy somewhere if you don't to wait to receive your furniture

I purchased a sofa loveseat set in May. Delivery was a little slow which is totally understandable due to Covid. Why would the sofa and loveseat have different legs and not match, I don't blame that on Covid. Also, the cushions were a bit small and appeared to have a gap between them. I called to have them replaced which they were very helpful until they forgot about it for a couple of months.

The replacement sofa arrived with completely different set of legs than the other two so they couldn't deliver the couch it's now been 5 to 6 months and I still have the wrong legs and small cushions. Their solution now much like the first one, is to deliver parts from the manufacture that may take 4 to 6 weeks. Keep in mind that I will have to schedule it for another day off of work and hope they get it right the third time.

I highly recommend Marlo Furniture in Alexandria. Everyone there is very professional and incredibly helpful. I especially want to mention how helpful Saboor Alimi and Jon were in finding the perfect furniture for our Mom. We also had a great experience with George (front desk customer support) and Cheryl Weber (manager).

Very bad customer service. We bought a bed in February but almost eight months later it was still not here. I understand that things are slower because of the covid, but these guys just drove me nuts with their lack of care. After the promised day for the delivery passed which was 8 to 12 weeks, they never called us to update us. Everytime I called (about six times over seven months) they gave me a future delivery date.
When that day passed and I called them again they would give me another bogus future date. We even bough bed rails from Amozon in anticipation of the bed that we now can't use. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and just wanted to cancel the bed. Their HQ customer service told me that I had to got to the store to cancel it ( like a 19 centure store) and there was no other way. After much deliberation, the local store "allowed" me to cancel it without going to the store.
When that day passed and I called them again they would give me another bogus future date. We even bough bed rails from Amozon in anticipation of the bed that we now can't use. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and just wanted to cancel the bed. Gus in the Alexandria, VA store was fantastic! He was patient, let us go at our own pace but checked in every so often. He answered our questions, grabbed us a tape measure, made us feel comfortable, and the check out process was quick. He even got our warranty and delivery price down. Great experience!

Possibly the worst store of all time. DO NOT BUY HERE. I am not just talking about furniture, I mean of any store anywhere. They would have to pay me to set foot in a Marlo store again. Marlo is the epitome of what you don't want to be. They are liars and frauds. I had an order setup 2 months in advance, 2 months! That order was setup for a specific date.
They confirmed with me by calling me a week before. Then on the day of delivery, I got zero communication. No one showed up, the delivery driver straight lied that he did show up. My camera system can show that, so I proved their lie. Then they said it would be another 2 and half weeks before I got my furniture. I got no credit. They are liars and will steal your money.
I already filed a complaint with the Virginia's attorney general office. I am also filing small claims court claim against them (I will easily win that). I may even start a class action lawsuit out of principle. Please contact me if Marlo did anything like this to you. I had enough with them.

My last stop in my search for the perfect entryway bench ended here! They are following COVID precautions still, salesperson greeted me as I entered and asked if she could help with my search. I described to her what I was lookin for, style and she found the perfect match! She was very pleasant and not pushy, I did not feel rushed and she gave me her business card so I could call her when I was done looking around. The next day I also received a courtesy call to thank me for coming into store! How cool is that?! Highly recommended! Also, great sale going on now!

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! Me and my husband bought a new home in June 2020. ordered a Celine sectional 4 piece in august of 2020. it is now march 2021 and we have not received our item. at first we was patient like all would be in a pandemic. But after further research and the lies not connecting. the pandemic alone is not the cause of poor delivery. after reading yelp reviews this company is known for risky shopping. it either goes smoothly or is a catastrophe.
We fell on the catastrophe sidelike many others. They have sold me a discontinued sectional. Oh and its not made here! they said it was. another lie told to us They don't know if or when they will be getting the remaining pieces. they had my wedge piece of the sectional since those are actually made here since august of last year but wont release it.
I just got off the phone with customer service and after 7 months of waiting do you know they only have one piece that has been sent? so I still have to wait for 3 more pieces. even more insulting is there own customer service rep said to me in my rampage that she wouldn't buy from this place. people please don't put your self through this.
We are going to just go get our money back. with that being said, we are dishearten by the over all service of this furniture store. in the months of waiting no one has reached out as they stated they would. I always have to track my stuff down myself. every call is revealing their bad delivery process. they told me they only have 4 trailers for the whole USA! I have heard so many excuses and the lack of being proactive is to bad to ignore.

Everything started out perfect when shopping at Marlos for a new couch- the order and delivery went smooth and all within a timely manner. We opted with Marlos because we assumed because of the heavy price tag of $1000+ and the reassurance of the quality that we would actually receive a couch of higher quality! 4 weeks into owning this couch we noticed a huge 5 inch rip at the seam, where the seam was coming undone.
We immediately contacted customer service and send in credible photos for review. (one is attached) From the first photos sent, they could not determine that they rip was truely from the seam. They thought that the rip was just in the middle of the cushion, when indeed it was not. I then sent in another round of high quality photos including one video!
I was then told that this case had to be send to the warehouse, and was put into contact with Kyla who is an assistant manager. Word for word she told me that "this is a TEAR AT THE SEAM and can not be covered under warranty" when in their warranty coverage it states that seam tears are covered! I was absolutely shocked and her unkindness and lack of professionality.
I believe I was absolutely taken advantage of in this situation. When then asked "what are my options" she simply told me "nothing". My jaw was on the floor by this time at the way Marlos customer service had treated me for my $1000+ couch. Will definitely be contacting the Better Business Bureau because from the reviews on Yelp and the way I was treated, Marlos should not be in business any more.
Someone from the senior executive management needs to reach out to me immediately to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We are not looking for a refund nor a new couch, we simply want our existing (defected) couch to be fixed! Too much to ask for?
