If you would like to do the finishing work yourself and leave the messy stripping work to us, we would be happy to quote you a price for stripping only. We do strip painted pieces as well. A popular option is "strip & repair" where we would take care of the more difficult repairs and leave the finishing to you.

Buzz and the guys at Chem Clean Furniture Restoration brought our 1940's patio metal table and 4 chairs back to life! They sand blasted rust and years of chipping paint from the set, then primed and repainted satin finish white. Table and chairs look brand new. Buzz kept us up to date during entire process. Couldn't be happier and highly recommend!

Absolutely awful work. A rocker was to be refinished and a seat replaced. The seat was done but much of the rocker was not touched and the underpart of the seat remained raw. When we returned it, the owner refused to redo unless we paid him an additional $150 after the $288 we already paid. He was not interested in "making his work right". The only reason we gave him one star is that this site would not allow anyone to post unless you gave a rating. No pride in workmanship or in pleasing the customer. Expensive for terrible work.

I brought in 6 dining room chairs that were dated and in desperate need of refinishing and reupholstering. I am so amazed with what the finished product was and i have to share. The folks there at Chem Clean took the time to pick the right stain and fabric layout, my wife and i are thrilled and we wish we had more old furniture to give them. Pricing is fair and not the low bidder but the quality you get is far beyond the price. 6 Chairs stripped re-stained and reupholstered in less than 3 weeks.
They communicated with me through the whole process from start to finish and made me come down and inspect them before they delivered them. Again amazing work by an amazing business.

Chem Clean has been my go-to place for furniture first aid for at least the last decade. Greg has refinished dining room chairs, re-rushed some ladder-back chairs, reupholstered living room chairs and resurrected an old thumb-back nursing rocker that had hung in my barn for 20 years. Even more astounding was the repair he did to two pieces: he rebuilt the shattered arm of a side chair that had great sentimental value - I honestly cannot see where it was fixed, and he made the legs of my grandma's little pedestal tea table after it had been crushed. An amazing place that can do ALL kinds of first aid for furniture. Excellent workmanship, nice guy, and prompt service. Highly recommend.

I had an (overpriced) bedroom set purchased from a mass retailer that started to chip and peel at the edges of the dresser, nightstands and armoire after only about five years. This set was expensive, so I wanted to have fixed so it would visibly not look so beat up considering it wasn't that old. Greg was able to come to my home and mix a stain that perfectly matched this set. He sanded a bit and stained the edges, the drawers and even some of the feet of the pieces. The set now looks as good as new! Will use Chem Clean in the future.

Expensive & Quality Poor - I was very disappointed with the cost and quality of the work. The owner was supposed to strip off all of the paint, replace glass panes and clean the brass hardware from a 1915 french door. The total cost of the work was $655.00 When I picked up the doors there was still paint by the window panes. He told me that that was to be expected and for another $300.00 he would sand and stain the doors.
The removal of the paint could have easily been done before he replaced the glass panes. He used brads as opposed to finishing nails when he replaced the molding. The hardware was falling out and when I pulled the hardware out I found glue on one of the screws and the other holes were fixed with a wooden skewer. This would have been fine if he had made a wooden plug and glued it into place but this was not the case.
Instead skewers fell out when I pulled the hardware off. I went back to speak with him regarding the poor workmanship. I informed him of the problems. He was not interested in doing anything about it. When I said I thought $655.00 was a lot of money for the quality of the work, he was disinterested. I am now in the process of removing the glass so that the frames can be properly cleaned and sand.
I will then move on to cleaning and polishing the brass hardware and then properly set it. I am sorry that I did not use a different company. I would not even give him a 1 star but that is all that is available.
