Smells bad - The machine oil used on the drawer glides has a very strong smell. We've let it air-out for three weeks. I feel bad for the furniture workers. Also, if you buy the largest heritage chest thinking it has more space which is more money, it's drawer inside space is the same as the smaller Adler chest. The furniture looks good but its not Amish made and definitely not worth the inconvenience.

Probably the worst company you could ever work for. They DO NOT care about their employees only HOW MUCH PROFIT THEY CAN TURN DOING THE LEAST AMOUNT FOR THEIR PEOPLE. The company owner and treasurer are the greediest nastiest people Ive worked for. They want slaves. Not employees. If they could pay them nothing they would

Purchased a $5,000 bedroom set by Archbold Furniture from Furniture & Appliance Mart (Plover, WI). Issues we encountered consisted of incorrect handles, non-matching stain between furniture pieces and finally the bed rail broke from an average size person sitting on the edge of the bed. While I was disappointed with the incorrect handles and non-matching stain Furniture and Appliance did correct these issues.
What left me sour about the whole situation is the failed bed rail. When I inspected the connection closer the furniture company connected the cross members to the bottom one inch of the bed rail forcing all the load of people, mattress and box spring to be placed on the bottom of the rail. Any good carpenter/structural engineer would know this connection does not fully develop the rail.
Naturally the fibers on that bottom one inch of rail pulled apart from the remainder of the rail. Sadly Furniture and Appliance / Archbold Furniture promised me stronger rails only to provide me with an identical replacement for the one that failed. I had to spend a significant amount of my time speaking with multiple staff at Furniture and Appliance to remedy the bed rail situation and what we agreed to was not delivered. This was a very disappointing experience and I can't imagine I would ever recommend Furniture Appliance / Archbold Furniture to anyone.
