Mattress Mike

TERRIBLE! I bought a $1000+ mattress. Was promised same day delivery. Then I get a call a few hours later that a few weeks back an arsonist burned their store and the mattresses (mine) was flooded from sprinklers. They loan me a floor mattress with protection. Fair enough. The next week when I was promised delivery I call for an update and they say the "embroidery" machine broke so it won't be here for another week. They are nice in person then will screw you over with their fake promises and apparent empty inventory. Just go somewhere else and avoid the headache and time

Very friendly and knowledgeable sales staff was able to help my wife and I quickly find a new mattress. They did not try to rush us into a decision or upsell us on a more expensive mattress, they were completely focused on making sure we were happy with our purchase. We will definitely be returning when we have more mattress or furniture needs.

I recently moved to the Santa Barbara area and was in need of several furniture items, including a mattress. The team at the gallery was absolutely incredible. I worked specifically with Mike, Garrett and Robert who were all excellent. They understood what I needed, got it done quickly and I walked away with everything I wanted for a reasonable price. I give them my highest recommendation.

Have gotten a mattress, dresser and refered a friend for a dresser. All at different times. Their quality, cost and delivery are great!

I was reluctant to even go to a mattress store when so many are sold online now, but went we did on a random day to look for a firm king size bed. I had done lots of research and looked at various online companies like Purple, Saatva, Avocado, Casper, Nectar, etc. It gets overwhelming. Anyway, came here with husband and 6 month old in tow. We were helped by a nice guy who showed us their firmer options.

We took our time testing them out and baby got hungry and I needed to nurse her. I asked if their Women's bathroom had a couch (like many department stores do and they're in the old Sears building) but they didn't. So instead they put a comfy recliner chair in a corner with a partition for privacy and told me my breastfeeding corner was ready. Seriously, this was just fantastic and sweet of them. It's hard being a new mom and trying to nurse in random places and they were beyond accommodating.

Thank you to those employees who went out of their way to do that for me and my baby. Needless to say, we bought our king mattress from them and they delivered it same day. It's been a few months and we are very happy with the mattress. As great as the mattress is, it's the stellar customer service that makes me want to return for any future furniture or mattress needs.

Just purchased 2 recliners, just perfect for my lung disease. Delivered today. Sales staff were cheerful, well informed and very easy with which to work. Prices competitive with other local purveyors. Will return to buy a luxury matress soon! Very "Boomer" tolerant and friendly. Very low key sales style. Very positive and enjoyable experience. We explained our needs, and they knew their stuff. BOOM! Sale complete, and we feel very good about our purchase. Friendly service, good prices. Definitely worth it to hunt them down, and stop by and shop adjustable beds, chairs, etc.

What a wonderful mattress buying experience! We were looking for a twin mattress for our 9 year old and Mike helped us out honestly and efficiently. Everything in his store is good quality with the bonus of being American made. The mattress was delivered to our house within two hours of buying it. Amazing service. We will definitely return to buy other furniture as needs arise. I highly, highly recommend this store!

GREAT! All around! Super helpful in the showroom, patient, informative, knowledgeable. when I finally made my decision (the next day) I asked to have my bed delivered same day (it was a Sunday). They didn't have room in their schedule & next available that worked for both of us was the following weekend. Bummer because I needed it right away and had been told I could have next day service. Frustrated & disappointed (at my indecisiveness not their inability to deliver) I went ahead with the purchase but told them I might need to cancel if I could find a bed to be delivered sooner.

About 30 minutes later, they called telling me they'd squeeze me in! They came, delivered, all smiles and kindness. I've had 2 separate guests since then and they both said they slept amazingly well and that the mattress was super comfy. THANK YOU MATTRESS MIKE'S!

Our family has been a customer of Mattress Mike's for years. My most recent purchase- a sectional sofa back in July 2015- they delivered and set-up with the usual friendly and prompt service. It's been a great sofa. Cut to March 2021 and I attempted to take apart and reconnect the end piece for whatever reason. And I couldn't do it- I called Mattress Mike and even though it had been so many years they came over within two hours to fix it for me. From start to finish a great experience. Had my in store appointment with myself and staff wearing masks and tried out mattresses till I selected the one I purchased. Delivery was smooth and right on schedule with (masked) courteous, helpful delivery staff removing the old bed and installing the new bed and frame. Great bed, great service. Thank you!

I needed a new mattress and box but didn't know what I wanted. I was given a tour of mattresses and was given time to compare. Granted some people may need more time than I, but I'm aware of how my body feels and found a good mattress quickly. I was happy with the selection they had and that I could be left to try them out. They managed to ship it same afternoon(was luck), and I had them take my old bed for a recycling fee. Great experience, would recommend to others.

Had a fantastic experience. Needed a mattress same day delivered. They totally were able to help and directed me to exactly what I wanted in terms of firmness delivered it within six hours - it was perfect, very affordable, super helpful. I can't recommend them more highly! And I have taken weeks prior to this to decide on a mattress. The mattress I got less expensive than Serta and Seelye and I feel like a much better mattress

Don't let the name fool you. Mattress Mike's has everything you need to furnish your home. Mattress Mike's was referred to me by a colleague. Since it was during covid, I was only able to go to the showroom with an appointment. From the initial phone call to delivery, I felt taken care of by Garret, Mike, and the rest of the Mattress Mike's family. Garret was incredibly patient with me as I couldn't make up my mind on which side I wanted the chaise lounge for my sofa and also needed to change an item from my original order.

He was also a great design consultant and made me realize some of my original ideas wouldn't work for the space. From Mattress Mike's I purchased pretty much everything needed to furnish my new home. The list includes a custom built sectional, coffee table, media console, dining table, bar, bed, and bed frame. All of which I absolutely love and have received a lot of compliments on.

Cost was reasonable for high quality furniture. Delivery was quick, efficient, and professional. I had a delivery crew of about 4-5 guys including Mike himself. I would highly recommend Mattress Mike's for your next home furnishing purchase.

I couldn't be happier. I needed a mattress for my college student, called them, confirmed they had in stock, went (by appointment) to the store, was given excellent advice, bought, loaded in the car and then drove away. All in about 10 minutes. Genuinely caring and very friendly.

Wow! Best mattress experience ever. We had mold and needed a new mattress ASAP. I was able to get everything I needed and delivered same day, all for a reasonable price. Their customer serve was also above and beyond. So glad i ended up here and I'll be back next time I need a mattress!

My husband and I went to mattress mike during the Covid pandemic, had to make an appointment, but it was totally worth it. We went in with a budget of what we wanted to spend and Garrett helped us right away. We told him our budget and he went to what we could afford and made us feel completely comfortable with our decision. We found our perfect bed and was so happy that we didn't feel like we were dealing with a car salesman. We left there feeling happy with our decision. We made an appt today and service from Garret was excellent! We bought a new recliner chair. Recommend taking a look at their showroom if you're looking for couches, chairs and mattresses.

Great people, this definitely is the place to go if you're looking for a furniture; If you're looking to go to lazy boys or other stores don't waste your time, they have the popular options; I'd rather support local high quality family businesses like this. We also check another place while we were trying to buy a couch in downtown Santa Barbara, they are no where close to this place, regarding more options and customer support.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED-- I have never written a review. ever. But right when you walk in, you are enthusiastically greeted by the 25-year owner, Mike, who shows you the mattresses and then kindly leaves you alone to test them out (instead of hovering over you while you lie in several beds, like other mattress places I went to before Mattress Mike). I'm a college student at UCSB, and this alone qualified me for a student discount (no delivery fee), which was awesome.

The beds are also super reasonably priced, which eases the financial burden of furnishing your first apartment! I got the cheapest one there and it's exactly what you want from a mattress: inexpensively priced but made with quality. It's firm but springy, and I'm super happy with it. Thanks Mike!

TLDR; AMAZING PLACE big recommend. They went above and beyond and we love our new furniture. My boyfriend is moving into his first solo apartment and it's a huge deal for both of us. We've been to tons of furniture stores, thrift shops, Target, Ross, etc. and we rounded off an exhausting moving weekend with a couch purchase from Mattress Mike.

Customer service upon walking into the store was amazing. You could tell they were a real family there and my boyfriend and I both felt super comfortable browsing without that dreadful feeling that a sales rep is breathing down your neck. They were attentive and friendly. We spent about an hour in the store and Garret and another Katie helped show us around.

We eventually settled on a beautiful couch that we both loved for a great deal. Price-wise, it was worth every penny. It was a super quality couch. However, I didn't post this review to rave about their service because tons of other reviews will tell you that much. I was ESPECIALLY thankful for their delivery service and movers: Chris, Wesley, & Taylor.

We had ordered the couch in a white color but they had delivered a black couch. I felt so bad sending back the three delivery men but they were understanding and reassured me that it definitely was not our fault and that customer satisfaction is what matters to them. They left to grab the right color and were still able to complete the next day delivery that was promised.

They were back within maybe 30 minutes. They carried two giant couches to the second floor on a hot day. We couldn't have completed our move without them! Overall, I was so impressed by their professionalism and quality customer service. Definitely buy your furniture here!

Great family business. My coworker bought her mattress and got such a good deal that two others did the same. Literally half of our employees bought their mattresses at Mattress Mikes. Its also nice to buy from a local family business instead of a chain. Just ask for Garret.
