Exact same experience as the post below. Mike subcontracted my move to R&M Transportation without my knowledge. The whole process from the time R&M arrived thru' final delivery was horrible. Missed delivery dates, furniture broken on arrival, TV set missing. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NEVER HIRING THIS COMPANY.

Sergey and Alexey were great and didn't hesitate when it came to the big stuff. Would use again. They made sure my items were secure in the truck after unloading a few items at a storage unit before unloading the rest at my home.

WHERE DO I START?! WARNING THIS REVIEW WILL BE VERY DETAILED! Los Angeles Movers is the company who gained my business due to such initial professionalism I received from their sales agent Mike. Mike was prompt, easy going, and seemed to be concerned about obtaining my business and giving me clarity about LA Movers' process. The communication was on point and I was notified about updates and changes all the way up until the pick up date.

On the pick up date the movers called and I answered the phone, they said " hey we are outside" I looked outside and saw no one. They said " Are you the green and White House?" Of course I said no I do not live in a house. I live in an apartment complex. An hour and half later the movers showed up under the influence of marijuana and took almost 3 hours to pack up my things.

The movers also used my bathroom without permission and made me feel uncomfortable being that I was only woman in their presence during this move. When my things arrived to my new place, some things were missing and broken! Upon signing the original contract that they movers gave to me, I noticed that the company that La Movers hired was a company by the name of R&M Transportation Inc based out of Hollywood, Florida. Upon, reading the reviews this company they hired were practically all 1 star company according to Google.

Multiple people mention how things were missing and broken and how late the estimated arrival date delivery date was as well. Also, when reaching out to R& M's office to gain information about the eta of my things, there was a jerk by the name of Jay who works for R&M and my entire experience with him was God-awful! He was nice-nasty and pretending to hear my grievances but would over talk me at any chance that he got.

Here is what I would suggest that you do when using any moving company. Ask who they use to transport the ACTUAL MOVE! Do your OWN research on that company and THEN make your decision! LA Movers may have professional people working within their offices, but the folks they subcontract out to are the WORST! This was my first across state line move. I will definitely do a better job going forward and I will not just pick the company with the best reviews.

I will also ask who it is that they hire and read up on them as well. BTW I never heard back from the sales agent Mike to see if things worked out for me. He dodged the couple of calls that I made to him. It is amazing how people act once they get your money! NEVER AGAIN! BUYER BEWARE!

Avoid this company. Mike never answers the phone and claims that he cares for his sick mom (yeah right, and besides someone needs to answer the phone). Responds days later when urgent response is needed. Gave us a binding quote and exceeded it by nearly 3x on moving day (after showing up a day late and being impossible to reach on the original moving day). Bait and switch.

Do yourself a favor and google "common moving scams", they tick every box. We cancelled and will file a lawsuit to get the deposit back as the company voided the contract by exceeding the binding quote. They hope you're in a tough spot so you'll pay up because moving is usually urgent. We're lucky we had a backup plan.

Everything they packed and unloaded they broke. My Sleep number bed which is a $6,000 bed. They split the zipper when setting it up, so all the padding falls out of the sides. They broke both my dressers, my fish tank stand and lid, my dining table, they destroyed my Christmas Ornaments (many of them were my parents and over 30 years old. I am heartbroken).

They dinged up my desk. All of the boxes I packed were crushed, but only one small plate was broken. The 50 boxes I packed, only one casualty. The 22 things they packed, nine things destroyed. I know that I am dealing with three different companies with this move, but the whole experience has been awful! The move was about $3,000 higher than the quote, and now I have to replace about $10,000 in furniture.

Hired for a long distance move. Was lied to from start to finish. Original estimate was for $6k and on day of move was doubled. Packing materials were added in the tune of $1600 with no explanation. I specifically asked if they would be delivering my goods or if they brokered to other companies. Told my good would be loaded on their truck and delivered to my door.

Not true. My goods went to a warehouse and were transferred to another trucking companies truck. Over 6 boxes are missing. Good thing I numbered boxes and kept a list of contents. Boxes marked fragile were crushed. Plastic bins were broken open. My antique cedar chest was cracked. This was suppose to be a full service professional move and it was far from that.

I was horrified when they opened the door on the truck. All my goods were packed with no care whatsoever. I have only begun to assess all the damage. Afraid I will not recoup nearly the cost of what was lost. Their full contract which is provided on pick up day is long and convoluted it would take hours to read. So you basically can't comprehend it and provides them no liability for the condition othe move. Steer clear of this company. I am expecting the owner to say this is a fake review. I believe the good reviews are the fake ones.

Sergey and Alex were amazing. They were punctual, hardworking, and provided a great service for a reasonable price. I don't like strangers in my home but I was at ease in their company. Thank you both, I will be calling you again for another project I have.

This company was great! Helped out last minute when we found out we needed to move ASAP. Quick response, professional movers, good price. Especially with covid-19 this relieved stress.

Beware! My first review they said I was a fake person! I had to take them to court to get them to repay for all the broken items they lie and will NOT TAKE CARE OF ANY ITEMS - they bait and switch regarding costs somehow it almost always doubles after they move half of house and good luck have anyone return call after they get money. I am shocked they are still in business

Odd how mixed these reviews are. I feel bad that so many reviewers had a poor experience. Selecting movers can be complex and nerve-racking. We had a great experience with this team. They were communicative, prompt, and dealt easily with some complicated logistics. They absolutely got the job done.

Horrible experience with this company. They took $100 deposit from me to confirm the moving appointment. On the day of, no one showed up. I called and left messages. No one cared or returned my call. They didn't refund the deposit and I had to take it to the bank. Don't use this company!

Dewayne and his crew drove from LA to San Diego to do a local San Diego move. They still arrived on time and worked hard all day. We were very pleased with their personal service and care for our belongings. We would use them again without hesitation.

They illegally dump furniture where they move and refuse to take responsibility even with video taped footage. DO NOT USE THEM!

This business ripped off my parents. Over charging by 2000 dollars they target seniors and vets. These guys need media attention.

So the crew coming in to pack your stuff - amazing. Great guys, fast, professional. The logistics arm of the organization - train wreck. We got to our destination well ahead of our scheduled delivery window, then never heard from them again. After days and days of calling, we finally heard that our stuff never left. They don't know why or how and don't know when it will leave.

More phone calls, more shrugging from dispatch until we spent an entire day of calling every hour until they get the truck dispatched. Oh yeah, and had to pay an extra $2500 because the estimate was wrong. After all that? No discount, nothing off the bill. Do yourself a favor - hire the truck yourself.

I never write bad reviews but I am begging you if you want your things delivered don't use this company-This is the biggest scam! If you speak with JOE or AUGUSTINE hang up. The day of the move they doubled The agreed-upon price. We called 10 days prior to set up a time for them to deliver to our new address and confirmed that They would deliver Friday or Saturday. Based on the confirmation we then had pods delivered to our home (to place our remaining furniture and boxes.) The pod company charges daily and a week after our suppose delivery date are still sitting empty in our driveway. because LA movers will now not return our call and will not give us a date that they're delivering or return our calls.

Not only do the people working at this company blow you off but I've never been treated so badly. The representatives then told me to prove that they said they would have our things delivered and then said good luck with that. This company has made moving The most stressful situation and a complete disaster. Also they only take cash which makes me wonder. now contacting Better Business Bureau but wanted to warn customers to find another company.

Absolute scam. This business is running a bait and switch racket. We were initially quoted $1800, of which they (of course) demanded $700 up front. Two days before the move, they call to do an inventory (which the sales person refused to do prior to the $700 deposit), and then raised the price to $4400. Of course, they have refused to refund our deposit. Fraud, undeniable fraud.

Not happy with this mover. Broke table top in July and we are still trying to get reimbursed for broken glass table. Say check is in the mail, then don't respond to your call. Mgmt sucks! dont use them, if something breaks, you won't get paid.

Phenomenal Moving Company! They helped us move our company's office and medical equipment a few months ago. We had to move out from our location in Beverly Hills into a temporary storage until our new place finished with construction. They moved us out in an exceptionally timely manner. The movers were polite and courteous. The foreman, Soldat, was on top of all our needs throughout the move.

He answered any questions and concerns we had and mitigated our concerns. We also used their warehouse to store our equipment, office furniture, and medical supplies. Finally, we got our keys to the new place and the LA Movers crew moved us in, properly installed all the equipment and electronics the very same day. They even sent 2 helpers the next day to help us move boxes and unpack. We strongly recommend LA Movers for your office and commercial moving needs. Thank you so much again!

Choose LA Movers if you want professional packing. Andrey's moving crew packed our house for a long distance moving trip really well and quick. Dan, Soldat and Tim packed and labeled our kitchens, closets, bedrooms and garage. They were very polite and assisted me with absolutely everything. I am glad I talked to Andrey first. The only thing I regret not doing, is not purchasing the Yelp deal. I bought the movers lunch and tipped well because they worked really hard. Best moving company in Los Angeles!

Worst movers ever! they broke my balcony and refuse to pay for the damages their movers caused! they were rude and up charged on everything. Sam is rude and the worst manager i have ever dealt with. such a disrespectful company.

Movers showed up on time (nice for LA) and got to work immediately. Foreman, Soldat, did a walk through before and after the move to make sure everything was done as initially requested. Movers were careful with our things as well as the building property. They even covered the hallways with floor protection and protected the door frames. They brought special computer carts to move our electronics. Over all 5+

Coming across LA Movers when searching for professional movers in Los Angeles, turned out to be the most important part of our office relocation. Even though, we only had less than a week notice to move to an new building, LA Movers move coordinator, Andrey, were able to give us a free onsite visit for a quote and satisfy building insurance requirements right away.

We scheduled the move and the rest was done by their crew. Everyone came on time with nice new trucks and lot's of dollies. Movers were very polite and efficient. Installers brought their own tool boxes and helped with office furniture and couple of cubicle. Over all the move went smooth and on the budget. We strongly recommend LA Movers!
