I moved to saratoga county last summer. I needed new furniture and was happy to find Taft furniture in Saratoga springs. I purchased living Room furniture and later a bedroom set. the prices were reasonable, the salespeople were very helpful and nice. The items were delivered when expected. I have a very nice dining table I love. But I need Chairs for it.
I went to Tafts website and they had the chairs I wanted, sold separately. Well, I went to the store to look at them and was very surprised when the salesperson who greeted me told me they don't sell them separately, despite it being clearly advertised on their website. so Off I go to Albany, taking my business out of town. The chairs that Tafts has in their store aren't that special, I can Get them at Bobs furniture, and maybe Tafts other locations.
Or maybe order them from Walmart, their new furniture lines are very nice. Or overstock.com, or Joss and Main, both better quality. I'll, try old brick and Huck Finns too. Shopping is fun.

I was in there with my mom looking for a couch. Now I myself am a worker at a grocery store. We have standards that are upheld so when I came into your store I had certain standards. So when I heard loud talking and laughter I looked to find not 1 or 2 of your employees but 6 or more of them sitting on the couches and chairs talking and laughing. Now don't get me wrong talking with your coworkers is good but when you have customers and your working they should been more professional.

We needed a new guestroom mattress. I checked online for Sealy; Taft seemed competitive and the most local. However, it's difficult to compare prices because the various stores seem to have different model names for the same brand. Online comparisons were a grand failure. Regardless, our in-store shopping experience was OK. I'd give it a 2 or 3, probably.
The salesman wasn't very knowledgeable nor did he offer much advice about various choices/features. We almost got the wrong platform base (no, there are no springs in modern bases apparently). I caught the height mistake at the last minute when I heard the cashier and salesman discussing it between themselves. I should have had input earlier. Also, their competitor offers faster delivery by several days although we weren't in a rush and we didn't want to drive to a Clifton Park store.
I bumped up the final star rating because the delivery was on-time and the guys were pleasant and professional. That went very well. A tip for other homeowners: remove pictures from the wall along the path to the bedroom. There is some contact between the mattress and walls along the way. Be aware that there is a very small charge to take away your old mattress.
I couldn't tell if their competitor has that or not. Bottom line is that we're satisfied with our mattress purchase. However, we glanced around the store and didn't care for the styles of furniture that they carry. I don't know what's popular now but the store's taste and ours don't mesh. We won't be shopping there for furniture. Sorry.

I am so very happy with the dining room set I purchased from Taft Furniture in Saratoga Springs. I visited the showroom, made my selection, was promised that the table and chairs were indeed in stock and would be delivered the following week. I was contacted by phone and email in advance to confirm delivery. The truck arrived on time. Gary and Joey couldn't have been nicer or more professional. They took great care with the furniture, and made sure it was placed exactly where I wanted it. Thanks, guys!

I ordered a mattress after I made an appointment which was required because of the virus. Apparently there was no need to make an appointment because other people just walked in without one. No helped us and we just brought the information for the mattress we ordered to the cashier. The cashier couldn't figure out how to enter the 8nformation but eventually figured it out.
She was nice enough. The sale that was posted on the website said free delivery and 8% discount. So we ordered it and then the next day we received a call and the delivery date was postponed. Now they wanted $90 to deliver and when I mentioned the 8% discount, because I forgot about it when we ordered it, she said it was too late. I've gone there for different things for Over 25 years, but I believe that was my last visit! Bye bye!

I ordered furniture in March before the stay home orders. Most of my furniture was delivered. The delivery service people were great and I love what I got however I am still waiting on a nightstand. They said it would be in the next week. I still haven't heard I can pick it up even though I was willing to do curbside delivery and transport myself.
Now I am having to make payments on it because I used their payment deal and no one returns my calls about it. I am very disappointed and worried I won't get my nightstand.

Our experience with Taft was amazing at the start! We fell in love with a pub style kitchen table with 4 chairs and we purchased the bench as well. It looked amazing and couldn't wait to get it home. It was suppose to be delivered in May. The table had been destroyed in the warehouse and was unable to be delivered. To top it off it was the last that was in stock.
The customer service was unable to tell us when a new table would be in stock. Beyond that they didn't contact us. I had to keep up stopping in and make sure they remembered who we were to get notified when our new table was going to be delivered. At some point we were told it would be in around July 4. I stopped in July 3 and they at first were like it's not in.
Then once I was standing in front of the customer service they checked again. To their surprise it was in. Upon delivery we were shocked with another surprise. one of our chairs was destroyed and on back order. No phone call from customer service for the heads up. Not to mention no one has contacted us to tell us when our last chair will arrive. I felt like our order was a complete inconvenience to your company. I will sadly never purchase from Taft again.

Every time I purchase something at Taft, I leave happy. My new mattress was delivered yesterday (Thursday) and I love how they are on top of everything. You can even go to their website and use the delivery tracker to see where the truck is. Wow! mind blowing! We are beyond happy and always go back to Taft when we decide we need something. I also love how the salesmen aren't stalkers. There when you have questions then leave you alone to talk and decide. Great showroom selection, great service.

I must give credit to the sales lady at the Sarstoga location. She was great. The delivery crew on the other hand, not good. The set up of the furniture was terrible. The bed was in completely wrong spot, screws coming through the support beams under box spring, poking into bottom of box spring. Never put the mirror on dresser, they just left it against the wall on completely wrong side of room.

Let me start by saying I would rate my experience a zero if I was able. My husband and I went into Taft in Saratoga today, looking to get mattresses for both of our children as well as a living set, we were greeted at the door by a sales person named Shelia she asked what we were looking for and we advised we were looking for mattresses, she directed us to where the mattresses were, we looked around at both the mattresses and at living room sets, we found a living room set and I decided to go up front to the desk to inquire about financing options.
I approached the front desk was rudely greeted by the a lady behind the counter, she said abruptly what can I help you with, I let her know I wanted to inquire about their financing options, she cut me off and said that she would call a sales man, I let her know I already had a sales person, she asked who is it? I told her and she paged Shelia, Shelia came to the front of the store all smiles, the woman behind the counter said she has some questions about financing, I followed Shelia off to the side, I let her know that I wanted to know about their financing options, Shelia immediately said what are you buying, I told her I was unsure as I wanted my kids to come back to the store with me to try the mattresses before we purchased them.
Her demeanor immediately changed, she said so your not buying anything right now, I told her no but we would be back to purchase the items, she immediately said I am not talking/taking an application as it will be a complete waste of my time, I was taken back by what she said, I was like excuse me, she said it would be a total waste of her time. She immediately walked away mumbling.
To be honest I was appalled at her behavior so I turned around to find my husband who was coming my way. I started to tell him what has just happened and the lady from behind the service counter was now coming down the isle saying where the mattresses were. I told her I know where the mattresses are as we had already looked at them. As a matter of fact we had picked out living room furniture and had planned to come back with our kids the same afternoon so Shelia would have gotten the sale. To say the least I will never step foot back in that store and will not recommend anyone else to either. To sum it up the worst experience ever!

The reps at Taft furniture do a really great job at making you feel like there are 10 other more important customers they could and need to attend to. We were not offered assistance during any of the time we spent there. When we went to a service counter after making a decision we were told we needed to find a sales rep. Not only was one sales guy seemingly annoyed that he was called over, because he was already helping someone, but another guy kept helping people calling in and kept us in store customers waiting when we were ready for our purchase. Not to sound entitled but if you're working for commission on your purchases, customer service and attention is important!

Art took care of us and was very accommodating. Had an issue with delivery! Could not be HAPPIER with Taft response, (Including the hand written letter from the driver apologizing for the minor damage he did to the furniture on delivery!) COULD NOT have been handled better. Earned a customer for life!

We ordered a Sealy mattress and box spring last week and had it delivered today. The whole process was very pleasant. I like the way Taft operates. When you walk in they give you a card and leave you alone to shop. When you find what you want you call the salesman over. The delivery today was very smooth. Brandon and Jeremiah knocked on the door, took the old set out, brought the new one in and put it in place. 10 minutes and they were gone.
They give you a 3 hour window for delivery and they always come when they should. Very good experience as usual. 5/5/17 Another visit today. Same good service. Our couch will be delivered 5/12. We had the new guy today, Jason. He has been there only 2 days and did an excellent job. He really went all out to make our transaction great.

This is not a review of the couch. It's the people. The couch is fine. But the people who helped us were great. My salesperson, Fred Babbino was honest and efficient and a nice guy who definitely tried to make us happy. Now my delivery guys. I wasn't happy about my 3 hour time warner style delivery window but they arrived about 40 minutes into the window which was great!
They overcame all the obstacles that a second floor in an ancient house has to offer. They were problem solving nice dudes. Whatever the folks in charge are paying these guys, it's not enough. Give them a raise or YOU suck. Lol. I'm not actually laughing out loud. I mean it. Don't be cheapskates. Pay them more.

Okay, so they offer many choices in store, but that's about the only positive thing I can say about this store. My husband and I went in and immediately picked a sectional that fit our tight budget. It wasn't exactly what we were hoping for, but it worked. The sales associates were more than happy to take our information and money And sent us home with the thought that our sectional would arrive in 4-6 weeks.
It took 3 MONTHS to get the sectional and every.single.time I called the staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. They said there was nothing they could do but give us an estimate. And estimates they did give us.about 6 different estimates of when our couch would arrive. I am so glad this is over. Next time I need furniture I will be shopping somewhere else. If you have unlimited time to wait for furniture, then try taft. Good luck.
