In 1953, the Pala brothers ventured into the furniture business with a small brick building on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware. Their roots were in the bar and restaurant business. The salespeople at Pala Brothers could not have been kinder or more helpful. Even after I had decided to buy a desk chair, they were still interested in explaining more about the product. What an amazing gem of a furniture store we have in Delaware. Right across from the Elsemere VA. If you are looking for "buy it for life" home furnishings without heavy handed sales tactics this is the place. As a bachelor all I knew was I wanted a nice and comfortable chair. I was lucky enough to meet Jennifer who has 29-years in the interior decorating field.
She must have started at the age of twelve but I digress. She showed me all of my options in a non-hurried fashion. She explained pros and cons of everything. Explained where I could save money. In fact her attention and care to my budget really put me at ease because it never felt like I was just another commission check for her. I had a couple of one off questions so she even called the manufacturer to get me the most accurate answer.
This really helped assauge any fears I had as I took this trip into the unknown world of nice furniture. Catholics don't have a patron saint of interior design. I see no reason Jennifer couldn't be it. She works Tuesday through Saturday so do yourself a favor if you are in the market for new homes furnishings stop in and see her. You'll be glad you did. Pala bros. furniture is the best furniture store I think I've ever been to. They know their products. They listen to their customers wants and needs and place them with the correct pieces of furniture for their budget. They did not try to pressure sale us. They did not try to upsell us. Honestly, every change we made we were told immediately how that change would effect the budget we had.
In the end we upsold ourselves because we really liked on of their fabric selections, and they have many to choose from. The sale was not quick and we were not rushed, but we were sure that by the time we left we had the furniture pieces we needed for the space we have. I am very pleased with Pala Bros. and would recommend them to anyone in the market for quality furniture at a reasonable price.

We have been purchasing furniture for a long time; what sets this furniture store apart from all the others is the owners. Lori and Michael have been so patient and accommodating. They really understand the customer's needs and Lori is excellent with design choices and color. The store is much larger than it appears on the outside and they have a huge selection of high quality furniture. Because of their exceptional customer service, we will look to Pala Brothers for all of our future furniture needs.

If you want to support a small business with amazing Customer service this is the place for you. This furniture is a buy it for life place. Expect to pay the buy it for life price tag. You won't be disappointed. It's literally amazing the comfort, customization and knowledge of the staff is top knotch. Definitely worth a stop! It was above our price range but we couldn't recommend it enough.

Don't let the modest exterior fool you - this store has an amazing selection of high end furniture. Lori greeted us and she was exceptionally helpful and a delight to work with. The show room is deceptively large and you should allow yourself a couple of hours to take in all there is to see. Highly recommended if you're in the area.
