Very happy with the family experience we had with Hoffer when moving our daughter to Houston in a hurry. Wendy found a great selection of in-stock items and coordinated delivery with our building to do the installation. I was very happy with all. The apartment is beautiful. Truly.

I highly recommend Hoffer Furniture to anyone looking to purchase furniture. Wendy Bleiwess, the show room manager, was amazing! She went beyond the call of duty to assist me. She stayed an hour after the store closed to help me with product selection. As a result of her efforts I was extremely pleased with the price, quality, and the availability of the items I wished to purchase.

The delivery, assembly, and setup in my home by Rey was remarkable. Rey showed up on time by himself, helped in moving existing furniture to other areas, brought the furniture into my home, and then quickly assembled and placed the new furniture to my liking. Thank you Hoffer Furniture for the best furniture buying experience I have had in years.

I have used Cort in the past. Cort had a bigger selection and didn't sell out of things we reserved online before we could even schedule a shipping date. Because of the lack of inventory as others have mentioned we were held up on our move date and ultimately had to settle on pieces we didn't want. There is no excuse to claiming you have pieces you simply don't have.

Our sales rep was unimaginative and didn't go out of their way to move the process along. I felt like the pieces offered were fairly dated looking to top. This is not the best quality stuff for the prices. We had hoped for more contemporary looking, better quality pieces that were actually in stock as opposed to the lag of inventory online. Our move was delayed as a result of this lag. I will be returning to Cort.

Wonderful experience at Hoffer Furniture with Steve Chamber's costumer service second to none. Steve is patient and knowledgeable and made the huge task of furnishing a large 4brm family home simple and enjoyable. Highly recommend this business.

Peter was great to work with on renting furniture for a short 3 month term when my son had an internship in houston. Furniture was good quality and Peter is a personable guy. Hate spending this kind of money for furn. Rental, but i compared prices and Hoffer was equal or better than all the Nat'l chain types. I always prefer to go local if the price difference is small to nil. Great google reviews drew me to Hoffer, glad to add another one for them!

Add me to the list of Steve Chambers' fans! I had an emergency need of furniture rental for my bosses son in Katy, but I'm in California. The apartment complex recommended Hoffer Furniture and Steve handled everything so smoothly and quickly. Plus he was so nice it was genuinely a pleasure talking to him. Went to Hoffer furniture after encountering problems with other furniture rental businesses. They have a wonderful showroom of beautiful furniture. Wendy helped us pick out everything we needed and has been there for us as we added items and had other needs. I can't say enough to express my appreciation for their help after our house burned due to the historic Houston freeze. And, they delivered everything we needed within a few days, not weeks as quoted from other stores. This is truly a Houston local business worthy of support.

Steve made the experience of furniture shopping just that-an experience. At this point, it was a transaction amongst friends. I never felt like I was being sold for the sake of making a sale. Samantha Hoffer, Hannah Le and Tom Lawson were exceptional! We listed our home with a realtor who assured us they had a home stager with inventory who would help stage our home for pictures and showings. After signing the contract with the realtor, we were informed that the agent was incorrect and that the stager no longer carried inventory. We had already packed and moved most of our belongings, and the house had to be listed within days.

I contacted Samantha Hoffer at Hoffer Furniture and she worked her magic! The entire team was supportive, responsive, friendly, and patient. Their inventory is vast and includes stylish, high quality items. Hannah asked questions to learn our taste in furnishings, and then she recommended pieces for each of the rooms that required staging. She is incredibly talented.and she nailed it!

The selections were delivered by Tom's friendly team in a just a couple days and right on schedule, and Hannah helped get everything set-up just right. We had 12 showings the first three days and received an offer at full list price on the morning of the third day! Based on the feedback from potential buyers, their agents, and neighbors, the staging gave the home a special "wow" factor.

We could not have been more pleased.the home looked beautiful! We were asked by numerous people who we used to stage and where we purchased various items. We highly recommend Hoffer Furniture and we are grateful for their kindness, responsiveness, and guidance during a stressful time. We had a great experience!

If you're looking for great furniture, YOU NEED TO GO HERE! This place is a hidden gem! I have driven past Hoffer furniture for YEARS without every giving much thought to what is inside but recently I was in the area and in a time crunch but wanting to look for nightstands so I did a quick pop in. As soon as I walked in I was blown away by the incredible amount of high quality and beautiful pieces they had.

I not only found my nightstands but a gorgeous leather bench that I could not leave without. There are about 10 other things I'd really love to snag from there as we settle into our new home. Beyond just incredible selection, the prices are right and the service is wonderful. Steve helped me and was a pleasure to work with. Others in the store were also very friendly!

When it came time for pickup, Rey showed off his super strength and was also a delight. I will absolutely be back! Also, this place is great for people looking to stage their home. They offer rental options for 3 or 6 months and I have no doubt that with the right pieces your home could fly off the market.

THANK YOU for being a major part of helping me sell a not-easy-to-sell home in Memorial. I am convinced that the updated furniture made the biggest difference in the overall look of the the home.

I am furnishing an apartment for a client of mine. I went to cort, hoffer, and brooks. Hands down hoffer has a much wider selection at much more affordable rate. Their showroom is really nicely set up. I worked with Wendy and she even helped me size the furniture with the exact dimensions. Save yourself the hassle and just go straight to Hoffer.

Didn't get my security deposit back. When I asked why, I had faulty pictures sent back to me of my furniture. I asked for my signature on the furniture in that condition, or for a signature indicating that the furniture was in good condition to begin with. Then Hoffer began ghosting me. Great furniture company if you want to get scammed out of more money than they tell you.

I agree with the two star reviews. Very archaic, very slow and not helpful. Not informed, up to date or progressive. and probably not competing with Amazon much longer. Don't go here. Not worth It and Scott the owner and Tom the finance guy don't really understand anything past the 70s.

I can't say enough about the people at Hoffer and the service they provide! I have moved around the country a time or two for school and work and have needed to rent furniture every place I have gone. Now, I have landed in Houston. Outside of Houston, I have done business with the "national brands" before and have always run into issues (untimely deliveries, damages, mix-ups in what was quoted, etc.).

I gave the "national brands" the benefit of the doubt this time around, just to see if a got a different feeling with their branches here in Houston, and my mind did not change one bit. But with Hoffer, everything was almost as seamless as I could expect. I felt like I was a valued customer and not "just another sale" from the moment I visited the showroom.

They took the time to walk me through what my needs were and were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole experience. Despite the all of the stresses surrounding being in an entirely new city and just figuring things out as I went, Hoffer's tremendous customer service made me feel at ease about the move and with how they operated their business.

The furniture arrived and it surpassed my expectations. The "other guys" had me expecting a varied quality from what was in the showroom, but I was very pleasantly surprised with the quality of what I received. I think the fact that Hoffer is a family-owned business separates them from their competition; they exude a pride and dedication toward what they do I haven't seen elsewhere. I'll be returning when I next need furniture for sure. Best overall deal in Houston by far!

I began staging homes and frequented the store often initially. I came to find Tiffany allowed me to browse and not be hawked over. In the end I made a large order with her and it turned out easy and smooth. She has gone to great lengths to ensure not only myself, but my client is satisfied. Looking forward to continuing business with her.

Needed some last minute furniture for some Super Bowl rentals. Heard that Hoffer had higher quality pieces than some other stores. We're getting top dollar from out of towners who couldn't find a hotel room, so needed the apartments to look good. A very friendly and not pushy sales lady (Wendy) worked closely with us to get us what we needed, on time and within our budget. We'll use them again for our apartments or especially for staging some of our properties.

I wish my experience with Hoffer had been better, especially since I would have used their service for business several times. The employee Stephen (now former) that handled my order did not listen to my needs or my client's despite being very clear as to what my client's budget was. The price was not clearly explained. The communication was lacking and none of my calls or emails were returned.

When the property was sold after 16 days on market, I attempted once again to call and email him to schedule pickup. After no response, I emailed the main info address to find out he had left the company and that I was being charged more (despite having the furniture for less than the rental agreement). No one bothered to take his accounts and notify customers of his departure, his emails were not handed to another employee, no one bothered to touch base.

There was no communication from their side despite my repeated attempts, and as anyone knows that is involved in real estate, communication is everything. I was then informed that the price I had stated on my first visit that I wanted to pay in full was in fact not the final cost, I would be charged more. As my cost is forwarded on to my client, I was extremely upset about this as was my client.

This was explained in detail to Stephen on the day of my initial visit, I needed full price. I have since found another business to do work with that has the exact same inventory as Hoffer has for an unbeatable price and will direct all my future staging orders with them for my investor and other clients. I was hoping for better, sorry that it had to begin and end this way so soon.

Stepped into Hoffer on a whim while we were out shopping for furniture. Was immediately greeted by the owner who was very easy to work with. He did not push anything on us and listened for what we were looking for as we had specific ideas. We eventually did not buy anything from there but were really impressed by the professionalism and the knowledge that the owner had. If we are ever in the market for furniture again, we will definitely go check out this place!

My husband and I had gone here 1 time (this is where we are going to leave it). We were looking for a bed frame and the lady who worked there was very pleasant and very kind. She made we feel welcome. I sometimes feel uncomfortable when I deal with people of Caucasian descent, especially when I shop in a high-quality place of business.no offense. I mean this is the country of the U.S.

We were able to order the bed frame and complete everything and thank the lady and such. Right as my husband and I were just about to walk out of the door, the white man who was way across the room setting behind the desk decided that he needed to completely bend over and just about nearly broke his neck, to look to see if we had any unpaid merchandise in our hands. Now, technically, this is what to expect when dealing with people such as himself, people like this, but goodness gracious!

The day that we ( I weigh only 106 lbs) can lift heavy furniture with our bare hands is the day that I will get paid millions of dollars. I mean really?. We have no thoughts of giving that ignorant human being any more of our business.

Hoffer is outstanding! Great furniture! Extremely amazing customer service and quality of care! Sharon assisted my mom and I in selecting wonderful pieces from their clearance and new furniture selections. She spent hours on several separate days assisting us in finding just the right pieces in terms of style, measurements, and color. She also emailed pictures and answered email questions in between.

She was easy to work with, patient, kind, and all around wonderful. Also, noteworthy are the furniture delivery men! They were so friendly, courteous, and had an outstanding attitude. The day our furniture was to arrive, the elevators in our apartments were out due to a power outage. I called and left Hoffer a message. When the delivery men called, I explained it to them, but they were not dissuaded.

They cheerily said "Don't worry, we will get it done." They brought all of our furniture up to the second floor using the stairs and wearing a smile. They were so friendly and kind as they set everything up. We had a large order and using the stairs was not easy. I am so appreciative and impressed by the all around outstanding service that I received. Thanks to Sharon and the delivery men, our furniture arrived in great condition! Thank you!
