Tolar Manufacturing Company has been providing best-in-class, distinctive "Sense of Place" street furniture solutions, bus shelters, rail stations, BRT platforms, solar and SmartPlace shelters for transit agencies and outdoor advertising companies across North America since its founding in 1991, by Gary Tolar.
In 1970, Gary began his career in the fabrication business as a certified American Welding Society welder for Century Plastics. Over the next several years Gary expanded his knowledge to include operation of fabrication machinery, reading blueprints and architectural drawings and purchasing. Eventually, Gary became the vice president of manufacturing for a major Southern California fabricator.
