We did a full headquarters design and install for Avalanche Biotech with workstations, multiple conference rooms, break rooms and their cafeteria. Finally replaced my amazon basics chair after sitting on it for work for 6 years and decided to check out better source for a more ergonomic chair. They did not disappoint. Lots of quality chair to choose from - herman miller, steelcase, etc. I ended up with a size A aeron chair at about half price, which is quite the steal even though the chair is used. They even helped us load it in the car. Definitely coming back again if I need to get more affordable office furniture.

Got really good service when I went into the store - helped me find the best chair, filing cabinet and mat for my needs. The service afterwards was even better - the chair that was delivered was faulty (kept dropping), and they delivered / replaced it within days. Additionally, the mat that I ordered was too small for my space, so they refunded me (I forgot to cash the check), and they followed up to make sure that I got it. Really fantastic service - thanks guys - will be back!

Had a great experience here July 2021. Julian was very helpful finding an extra tall chair for my office desk setup. I scored a fantastic like new Hayworth Zody stool that fits perfect at my tallish desk height. Julian explained all the levers and adjustments and also helped lift it into my back seat. This place has great service, I've been helped by Sarah, Julian, and Darryl. Event though I didn't complete the sale for a separate reason but they gave me a great price for several Aeron chairs. Sarah gave me the tour and let me try many of the Aeron chairs, they are all in a good condition. Darryl gave me a good deal on the chairs plus Julian was really helpful in accommodating my schedule to try the chairs. If you are looking for good condition used Aeron this is the place to go.

I needed to update a conference room in our facility and needed 16 chairs. I went to BetterSource because the website showed so many to choose from. Upon arriving I noticed there was absolutely no other customers in the store. I told the salesman that I was looking for leather back chairs. He replied he didn't have any before noticing he had a few in the back.
Instead of asking more questions to see if he could help with an alternate, he went straight to the cubicle in the front of the store and in the 25 min I was in the store, never said another word to me. I had to literally move chairs around myself. As I was about to leave after spending 25 min alone, I asked the price on one chair (to do the math x16) just to see if he would be willing to help. NOPE!
From his cubicle chair, he looked around the corner at the chair for a few seconds then said, "ummm $350.00". WIAT- WHAT- for a used chair? I realized he was not going to be helpful, so as I headed to the door it was clear he was going to let me leave without so much as a "thanks for stopping by". So I stopped and asked him if he had a business card.
He said yes and pointed to a stack on the desk. I grabbed one and left. Still nothing in the way of "did you see anything you like?", Nope, just let a potentially large sale on used chairs walk right out the door. The name of the card was Bob Callaway "Sales and Design Consultant" (that's funny). I thought the entire experience was atypical for a sales consultant, but it may explain why the place was void of customers. I would not recommend wasting time at this business.

I am zero for two with this place. A few years back I bought a used office chair. Within a 6 months, one of the wheels was broken. Now the function that raises or lowers the seat is gone as well - it just sinks to the bottom. It was a used chair, so perhaps I should expect this. Point is, there's no free lunch, a used chair is used. Not their fault, but not very satisfying either.
Second time, I never got in to the store. The store has a pretty tight limit on numbers of customers at a time due to Covid. I watched for 15 minutes while people tried to check out their purchase, but somehow there was a lot of talk but no action. I'd think someone was going to exit shortly after a credit card was exchanged, but that didnt result in wrapping up the process.
The employee spent a ton of time looking at his screen. When I left there were still people trying to pay. I didnt have a hour to spend on getting a chair, and that's how long it was starting to look. Ultimately, this is a business to business store, that does retail on the side. Be aware that there's no prices on the items, and for whatever reason executing the sale is akin to completing a tax return.

Ordered an electric sit stand desk so I didn't have to keep working from my couch during this time and I just wanted to acknowledge their great customer service from the top down. Their operations manager did a great job of coordinating this for me and the delivery driver Rigo even wiped down the entire desk in front of me. Honestly one of the most seamless experiences with A+ service! I love my new desk setup!

It was such a pleasure working with Julian and Jeannette - they are super nice and helpful. We needed two conference room tables and had trouble figuring out what color legs we wanted and if we wanted chairs as well. Not once, did Julian make me feel like we were troubling him even though he had to redo the quote a few times. Jeannette was accommodating when I asked her to have the drivers call us when they were getting close.
It really eliminated a lot of stress and made the process extremely easy. We love the tables and they were perfectly set up in our conference rooms - the employees are happy! Overall, Julian and Jeannette are the perfect example of what great customer service is supposed to be like. Thank you!

Better Source Liquidators is a family owned business built from the ground up. While their current business is primarily with companies, the owner and staff still took the time to help me find 2 very high quality used office chairs, had them steam cleaned and offered to give them a good wipe down (which I declined because I could do it myself), all while it was very obvious their loading dock was busy with much larger orders than mine.
Part of the responsibility as a responsible customer supporting a family owned businesses in the Bay Area, especially the Bay Area, is to be conscious of the fact that every minute they spent on my $100 purchase for 2 chairs that normally would cost me $1K+tax, takes away from their ability to close a deal and/or deliver on larger business that enabled them to grow to where they are today. Thank you again to Jennifer and her team in the Hayward warehouse for their help on such a busy day.

I went in about a month ago looking for a Herman Miller desk chair to replace my inexpensive one at work. They had a few in stock of the model that I was looking for, however, if you are looking for desk chair they have many other options in stock at the store. I feel the price was good, although I would have been happier if they would have drop the price by $50.
My boss allowed me $500 and they were asking $550. I tried negotiating but failed, so I paid the difference myself. They have no delivery so you have to pick it whatever furniture you buy yourself

Our company recently moved into a new office location. We had been at the old office building for over 20 years and had built up quite the collection of stuff. For our new location we decided to start fresh with new office furniture. Dealing will all the old stuff cubicles, file cabinets, chairs, junk, etc. seemed overwhelming. Better Source took care of it all and made the project easy.
I felt like I was in good hands from the start to the finish. I cannot say enough positive things about this company, it's services and their professionalism. In addition, we purchased chairs for the entire staff and they love them. Better Source is great for moving and great for shopping. A++

I've used Better Source a few times for my office. Both times I got really good deals: 1st time on new chairs, 2nd time on a used chair and solid file cabinet. It was very hard to find a locking file cabinet on the grounds that had a usable key. We found a 3-drawer lateral and got it delivered. Delivery takes quite a bit of time because they are so busy.
Everything came as expected, but we are missing the rails to the cabinet which I didn't realize, so that's a problem we will have to find replacements. Maybe I can pick them up there, I'll have to call.

I was really hoping to find a new (to me) chair or a new (to me) desk. But Better Source did not end up being within the price range I was looking for. The service was friendly and welcoming, but the prices were showroom prices. They aren't really a liquidator (used furniture at great prices) but more like a Ross. Brand new items left in storage that didn't sell at higher end retail establishments.
There were a few desks I liked ($165 tag), but in the end I ended up finding something on Craigslist for $35 dollars I was happy with. And as nice as the service was, I was used to Hotel Furniture Liquidators in San Jose (now located in Stockton) that had items priced to sell with a $50 same day delivery charge. All in all not bad, but not for me.

Can't say enough good things about this place. Great selection, reasonable prices, top notch expertise and service from the Salesman Julian, and a very professional delivery crew. Even when I had a malfunction with my desk recently, Julian responded to my issue immediately and did everything in his power to make it right.and he did! Desk is working beautifully again thanks to the repair person Rigo! Glad there's some businesses still out there that care about providing excellent service from start to finish. This place is highly recommended.

My husband purchased an office chair from these folks a number of years ago. One of the arms wore out and he could not find the part online. We thought it was a long shot to check with Better Source as they do not deal with parts. Julian looked online himself without any luck. He then found a set of arms that had been taken off a chair that morning. He gave them to us at no charge and they fit perfectly! Service doesn't get any better than this!

I have never done a bad review in my life so if I'm writing one now (which I am) must mean it's really bad. Daryl Denny is probably the rudest person in the furniture industry that I have ever met. He's told me that certain items were available and then he would change his mind at the last minute. Completely unprofessional. Bad attitude and dishonest.
