The quality of their product and their customer service leave alot to be desired. We saved up for over a year to buy a sectional and it's been an absolute nightmare. A week after they dropped it off the frame broke, it took multiple calls and two scheduled visits with repair techs to get the piece replaced and they replaced it with a repaired section.
After a couple weeks the repaired section had a frame break also. We've bought multiple couches from many different manufacturers and suppliers and never had this many issues. Now we are out of $2,000 and have a broken couch. Strongly suggest you go somewhere else because each time we call customer service they seem completely non empathetic

I went to American furniture warehouse on Tuesday to find a couch set for our new movie room I'm doing for my husband for Father's Day I went in and fell in love with a set that Ron Fischel showed me I asked him simply how much is the set for this one he said 1,354.00 I was thrilled as it was staying in my 1500 range I wanted to spend I paid and set delivery for Thursday on that morning I received the 3 seater couch and loveseat with ottoman I was missing the 2 seat couch as I looked at the receipt I saw it wasn't on there so starts the problem I asked for the set not part of it and was given a price for the set the manager talked to my husband on a call back and he told him we needed to pay another 328 to have the 2 seat couch and they would take the ottoman back as well why am I being penalized for the sales man's massive mistake we paid the extra 328 and asked to speak again to the manager we were told the manager will not take calls or call back customers by the receptionist and that my husband would have to go in person just to speak with a manager that is horrible service he went after work and I just told him I didn't want the set without the ottoman and I wanted to know why we were being penalized for Ron's mess up they only offered 100 off this after we now had 1,800 invested and still wanted more with all of this now on top of that the set we got has damage and came with only saran Wrap on the couch nothing on the pillows and when there new they are sealed as well so they delivered either a floor model or my guess a return from another home I am the third generation of loyal shopping and buys all my furniture from AFW and never had a problem but this it shouldn't be this hard to buy furniture now they are coming Saturday in my home again to take the stuff back and we are left with nothing and will have to find a new store for all my family as I told them I will not be back nor will the rest of my family and friends from Colorado Springs to here in Arizona I am so upset over this I truly loved this set but with a company with no accountability or compassion I can't continue this It's not about free anything it's the fact your salesman gave me a price for the set not pieces he messed up tring to pull a bait and switch and your front lady last night straight said you could have fixed this if you wanted you won't even make time for calls we had to make the 30 min drive on top of everything else you put us threw when she said you just don't want to fix this we knew you are not for your loyal customers it's just about the profit margin for you and if it was inspected no one saw the legs damaged and still delivered it any way I've added damage photos as well there's no honor in what you have put us threw and no real offer to make it right

Three years ago we bought a sweeeeet sofa from American Furniture Whorehouse. Oooops. I mean WAREHOUSE. We spent a chunk of money on it and it is (was) our fave thing when lockdown and all hit. We agreed it was the best decision! Dual recliners, pull down table, rough leather so it didn't really show the wear and tear. And best of all, a five year warranty on parts and damage.
What could POSSIBLY go wrong? Mmmm. Yeah. It went wrong. One of the recliners has suffered a bent something a whompy jammer and the recliner on that side doesn't close all the way and doesn't lift all the way. So in DECEMBER we called the furniture whorehouse. oops. WAREHOUSE. and asked for a repair. In MARCH a lovely gentleman showed up, the part was back ordered, but hang in there!
It is now June and the part is not ever going to be available so hey. here's $400 to come in and pick out a new sofa! $400! We spent $1400 three years ago. We called and were told by their CUSTOMER SERVICE. "we don't deal on our offers (cue Marlon Brando), take it or leave it, you have thirty days to come pick out a new one with $400 credit".
I smell scam. And now, I understand American Furniture Whorehouse (again, apologies) is no longer offering 5 year warranties for just this reason! Maybe we sat a little too much during covid? We have big hineys? What? Anyway, I'm super pissed. But we have to do what we have to do. Asshats. Never again. They do NOT stand by their products and their CUSTOMER SUPPORT people are RUDE!

We were TOLD BY A SALES PERSON at a later date not to let the support people try and wiggle out of this, that the store was FULLY responsible, not the manufacturer. We have never purchase an item here and been disappointed. The sales teams are low pressure and very helpful. So much of our home has furniture from this place. Most recently, a great Leather sectional. The sales price was hard to pass up. Our sales rep (Handai) was great as well. Look him up. He will treat you right.

I purchased furniture in January and when they brought it the furniture was damaged so they sent me a second one and those movers damaged my front door in my bedroom door and I'm still not done with American furniture because they still had to bring the wedge to my couch it finally came yesterday I had mentioned to the woman that they had damaged my doors and I hope that they don't do it again well She told me to go ahead and file a claim I said well I didn't know I could do that she says yes you can.
I just got a call from their damaged department and they said well we don't usually do anything after 30 days well too bad I didn't know that nobody told me so. This is totally unacceptable! I will tell my family and friends on face book of my experience. I will never buy anything from American confurniture ever Again!

I am so disappointed in this store. I actually loved to shop here. I have purchased many items, like bar stools, bench and decorator items like small tables and serving trays, pillows and fake plants. This was my first experience with furniture purchase. I purchased a reclining sofa and matching chair. After only a couple of months the sofa has begun to sink on one side.
I called for the warranty service and a technician was sent out two weeks later. It needs to be sent out to have the cushioning replaced on this section. So my new sofa is to be picked up and repaired then returned a week later (maybe longer). This never should have happened, its defective and I should be offered the option of return or replacement as I requested, but was denied.

My wife and I have purchased SEVERAL items from these people. Multi-Thousands of dollars of merchandise. Zero issues, until today. We purchased items for our home in Heber-Overgaard and the delivery people didn't call us before they arrived, their customer service number called and said they had just got there, we informed them we were less than 10 min away (a 2 1/2 hour drive from the valley).
When we got there, they were gone. After calling customer service and requesting to speak to a manager, we were refused and told the drivers weren't coming back. Don't bother ordering from these people. they are a waste of time and money. I would recommend buying from www.wayfair.com they have the exact same furniture at a better price, and we've never had an issue with their deliveries.

Furniture is nice but people are not. The delivery men were very rude. They didn't even assemble properly then when they came to deliver one of our last pieces of furniture we asked them to assemble it they did do some parts but still 1-2 parts of the sofa are not connected. The other thing that I don't like abt this store is that they don't offer you an extended warranty on their furniture.
And they are not helpful in helping you find the furniture that's out of stock. I would not recommend this store unless if you don't mind getting furniture that's not even assembled properly

This is our 2nd reclining loveseat from AFW, and we should never have bought a second one since the first lasted only 20 months and the faux leather came apart. This time we went with a "very good" leather power recliner that cost us $2,000. In 5 months of use, the finish on one leather headrest came off. Tech came out and said it can happen and he'd need to order a new cover, would contact me soon. 3 weeks later no call, I contact AFW and they tell me "we do not cover the leather finish coming off under our warranty because it happens from the oils in your skin". Wait. you don't cover it because I sit in it?
What am I supposed to do with a recliner? They'll fix it, but I have to pay for it! My wife's chair is used 10 times more than mine and shows no issues. RUN FROM THESE LIARS. Considering small claims and demand they take it back and give me a full refund! UPDATE in response to AFW's comment. I have a quality leather reclining loveseat at home that is 4 years old, NO FADE of the leather finish.

We have bought several pieces of furniture with AFW and have NEVER had a problem. We recently bought a whole living room set. Couch, love seat, chair / ottoman, 2-end tables, coffee table and sofa table. Everything was in stock, except for the ottoman. They told me it would be in stock and of March and we're upfront about it taking longer due to supply chain. Customer service has been great. Hans was a great salesman. I will be back to purchase king bedroom set soon. Thanks AFW!

Rudest employees. Went in looking for a futon and immediately was treated very disrespectfully as soon as we entered the building. While in the store trying to get someone to help us was next to impossible. When going out of our way to get a red-shirted employee they were absolutely no help at all, saying the futon wouldn't be here "for a couple of weeks" thanks a lot that really narrows time down.
While exiting my boyfriend and I were then followed out of the building. Never want to go back to this store till a much needed shift change. Walmart had a cheaper better quality option with actual decent customer service.

Customer service is downright awful and terrible. They will tell you one thing and then do the complete opposite and leave you hanging, jumping through hoops while you try and figure out why your furniture is delayed 3 weeks. (Not due to back order but due to negligence) DO NOT GO TO STEVEN ELLIOT! He is one of the salesmen on the floor, beware.

I bought furniture for 4 bedrooms and my family room. I also purchased 6 mattresses, pillows & protectors for our new townhome in Frisco. Matt Cowden was our sales rep. He was so helpful and informative. What an excellent employee! He helped me purchase 90% of my furniture online. He went above & beyond to make sure our furniture would fit in the rooms. He guided us selecting 6 mattresses & scheduling delivery. I highly recommend Matt! He was the best!

Loved everything we've purchased, most recently a new mattress and foundation, plus a sectional couch employees are always super helpful, great business model. When we did have a problem, they went above and beyond to correct the issue, in a timely manner and they initiated the fix, cannot recommend them enough. Also, our new mattress is divine and the couch is even better than we thought.

After spending over $25,000 with this company, the customer service I received was appalling. They didn't make their delivery window, didn't contact me about it, gave me the runaround on the phone for hours and refused to refund the extravagant delivery fee. All of this after I moved mountains to ensure all of my old furniture was removed on time to make their window, and took steps to clear all of the snow that fell the morning of the scheduled delivery to ensure the safety of their employees.
Not only that, but they also refused to give me a new delivery window in advance on the next day they had available. They advised me that if was unable to make their window (that they wouldn't provide until the morning before) due to needing to take my wife in for a scheduled medical appointment- they would charge me another fee! Are you kidding me?!? At every interaction they put their company over their customer. I'll never do business here again.

DO NOT BUY a Bed from American Furniture Warehouse. You have been warned. You will get a bed with very weak inexpensive balsa wood for bed slats that will fail, causing you to fall to the ground. The bed installers will do a terrible time installing these, center pieces will not be lined up, etc. If you contact AFW, speak to a customer service warranty representative, they will schedule to come out and screw in new poor, ineffective bed slats.
These will fail, and you will fall to the ground again. We decided to stop dealing with AFW, and buy steel bed slats, which solved the problem (As opposed to going through the horrible experience with AFW bed warranty) We will never purchase anything from this place again, and I highly suggest you do not either.

Unfortunately A lot of furniture pieces are not available, and would have to wait months for pieces to come in! Their system is pretty horrible as well. PLEASE read the reviews first. Went in opened minded, and just went through a process to get my money refunded for furniture I was waiting over three months to get. Damn near every month I got a call about a delay in my furniture that would have made it 7 months total still without. Look at other furniture stores first please.

What a fantastic place. My fiance and I went to shop for a new couch, and their selection was HUGE. They had a nice variety of styles and colors, and we ended up falling in love with a matching couch and chair that they just happened to have in stock. There were enough sales people walking around, and they were all polite and gave us space until we were ready to decide.
Everyone was really nice and worked quickly to get us everything we wanted. It all felt very easy and even fun. Two days later, everything was carefully delivered up three flights of stairs by two very courteous and professional workers. It was perfect!

In March 2019 I purchased two beds and one mattress. I was concerned about the slats in the beds and the sales woman told me that if one ever broke, they'd replace it. Maybe they will but in the last two days, I've called them five times. Neither the Warranty Dept. or Customer Service ever answered their phone, although once I waited 43 minutes.
I do not really want to take a trip to the store with a broken slat in my hand but I may have no choice since the bed cannot be used as it is. Great prices but who cares if they don't abide by what's promised?

Supply chain is broken, fair enough. But that doesn't excuse your lies. You knew you couldn't get the furniture you sold. I patiently waited 8 months. Put up with the "it will be here next month" more than any customer should. Finally requested a refund. Would only refund to the credit card used at time of purchase. That credit card was paid off months ago and has a zero balance.
Now I need to fight with Discover to get my refund. I feel sad for your customers who are paying credit card interest on product they will never get. American Furniture Warehouse is broken. You could do better with customer service since this falls on you. Stop selling furniture to people when you know you can't come through. Blaming supply chain is weak. 8 months? Please!

So Just wanted to say first of all how great are sales women was, I went in with a picture of a couch set I seen online at AFW website and she right away assisted me to the couch so in the store the couch set up was opposite of how i wanted it in my house so she then started to reconfigure it to how I needed it and she was great and fast. I had barely walk into the store and she was helping me right away so a few minutes later after she reconfigure it for me I was at the desk paying.
Then comes the delivery, I was in the store buying it on December 23rd and got it December 25,n ow that was fast and the delivery guys were frickn awsome they were very respectful fast patient and just very professional, they are by far the best delivery guys I have ever seen they got my heavy couches down stairs through a tight space like champs they set it up exactly where I wanted it they took all the plastic covering and cleaned up all the trash.
These guys were outstanding I never had a purchase and delivery from the second I walked into the store ever ever go so fast and smooth. Awsome work to the sales women and delivery guys youz are all three the best. Thank you we love are new furniture and are experience with AFW.

I am writing this to let you know about our family's recent experiences with your store and as to why the rating for your establishment is so low. Frankly, your customer service is lacking. It was some of the worst we've ever encountered. My son recently went to go look for an office chair on the 21st of December. During his visit he asked the associate questions we felt were relatively reasonable such as "Does it come preassembled?", "Is it in a big box?" and "how many pieces are in the box?" As his car is relatively small, it was necessary for him to know as he intended to take the chair home with him.
The associate helping him was not only dismissive and unhelpful, but she laughed at his last question and walked away from him. The fact that she walked off really left a horrible impression on my son. Furthermore, our personal experiences with the company have not been particularly pleasant. During our first visit in November, our experience seemed promising -- however, the services following that introduction fell short of our expectations.
After having invested quite a bit onto new furniture, our associate Diane checked our order and gave us her number for any questions regarding her order, and that seemed to be the end of it. However, whenever we communicated with Diana over the phone she seemed disinterested, short tempered, and rude, as if we were inconveniencing her just by having questions.
The delivery of our order as well felt. off, to to put it simply. One of the mattresses we ordered seemed to be used and filthy, and we received two different box springs. One of our orders was the correct one, dark blue and grey, while the other was completely different (black and white, with plastic cornerstops) and felt cheap and wobbly. We're still waiting on one item, bur after everything we've been through we're more nervous about its arrival than excited.
In close, we feel that with the combination of customer service (or, perhaps, a lack thereof) as well as the quality assurance of the product being delivered is not worth the investment. With that being said, we shall make our future purchases elsewhere.

In March 2020 I called after a service person came to our home looking over another piece of furniture and said our phone should not be going flat like it was after only 14mnths. The customer service agent said that American furniture would pay for the fix if we would pay for the phone so we gave them a credit card amounting to about $162 and used a $40 in-store credit as a partial payment.
I was told they would call me and let me know when the phone came in and they would pick up my sectional! I called in August to Check the status of the order. I was told that the phone would not be in till December 7 and to be patient as this was part of the global pandemic. It is now December and I called today to talk to Ruth who went through the notes and said it was going to be a little longer because the phone was still not in I asked to talk to a supervisor but she told me she was one of the customer managers and refused to let me talk to anybody higher but transferred me to another customer service manager who told me after quite a while on the phone that my order was canceled back in August nobody contacted me if I had not reached out to them they would've kept my $161 I really have an issue with not contacting your customers with the proper information but even today the first operator Ruth never even told me my order was canceled she didn't take the time to read all the notes.
I understand shortages I understand Covid issues I don't understand bad customer service when you cannot even give the proper information to the customer after they have waited on the phone to even speak to someone and you can even address this with a superior Thank you for the reply however your customer Service Did very little to right the wrong. of course you're going to refund my money because you did not provide the service you promised and I understand the phone is not available now and I understand you can't write the past but there was no customer care at all I am receiving back the $40 in store credit which I may not use if there's anyway we can credit back to my account I'd appreciate it.

It is now December and I called today to talk to Ruth who went through the notes and said it was going to be a little longer because the phone was still not in I asked to talk to a supervisor but she told me she was one of the customer managers and refused to let me talk to anybody higher but transferred me to another customer service manager who told me after quite a while on the phone that my order was canceled back in August nobody contacted me if I had not reached out to them they would've kept my $161 I really have an issue with not contacting your customers with the proper information but even today the first operator Ruth never even told me my order was canceled she didn't take the time to read all the notes.
I understand shortages I understand Covid issues I don't understand bad customer service when you cannot even give the proper information to the customer after they have waited on the phone to even speak to someone and you can even address this with a superior Thank you for the reply however your customer Service Did very little to right the wrong. of course you're going to refund my money because you did not provide the service you promised and I understand the phone is not available now and I understand you can't write the past but there was no customer care at all I am receiving back the $40 in store credit which I may not use if there's anyway we can credit back to my account I'd appreciate it.

You should beware purchasing from AFW. I needed a furniture set for my living room to be delivered prior to a party Dec 18. I purchased in November was told scheduled Dec 1 to arrive, then Dec 10 now end of January. I know there are manufacturing issues but don't tell your customer they can get it when they need it just to get a sale!

I was contacted by Jolina, the Social Media Manager from their Corp headquarters in CO. She listened to my concern, did some research and spent the last several months getting new pillows shipped to me. It took a long time as they were held up like everything else these days in the backlog of stuff stuck offshore. Never-the-less, I just received my pillows.
We also got our remaining furniture. While everything was several Months late, she demonstrated to me the AFW actually does care. I cannot bump this to 5 stars, but Jolina has re-earned my business. Thank you for showing me that some corporations care.

Update on my post from earlier this year. After a LONG struggle, I was finally out in touch with a manager named Larry! Larry took our took on himself and did everything he could to track down our couch. He was able to tell us what cargo bin number it was and could access where that bin was located. He then contacted the AZ store to make sure our couch was on the next truck!
He himself called us to schedule delivery and said he physically touched the couch and compared ticket info to know it was OUR couch! After delivery, he even called again to follow-up and make sure that everything was great and congratulated us on our new little one! Thank you Larry for redeeming AFW a bit! Nice to have someone there that will actually take time to make their customers happy!

This is easily the biggest store I've ever seen and is worth a look even if you don't need any furniture. Prices are very reasonable, somewhere close to Living Spaces. Like all businesses, AFW is affected by supply chain shortages and that's not their fault. What is their fault though, is that they took over 40 minutes from the point we completed our purchase to get us our dining chairs.
You check out at the register, then get sent to a secondary room and you can wait there until they tell you your stuff is ready. We waited 40 minutes (they quoted 20-25 minutes) and finally just went up to the loading bay. The employee magically found our 4 chairs sitting right next to where we were standing. I'm glad we decided to just go up to them and not wait any longer. Their pickup process needs a lot of work but overall we will definitely be back for more furniture.

If I could give it a (0) I would. Bought a couch little over a year ago and the mechanism went in one of the rocker recliner ends. Mechanism is under warranty for 5 years yet they can't get the part and couch is discontinue. They will take 30% off for a less than 2 year old couch That was still warranted. I will never buy furniture from here as they do not stand by their products or warranty.
By this amount they are telling me their couches do not last more than 6 years. I can only imagine if you had young children as we don't. I was told by 2 of their employees that this is common practice for them to discontinue furniture within a year and customers are out of luck. Never again and I will tell anyone I know.

I went to your S Wadsworth store yesterday. I found a sofa, etc and was going to use a finance card. It didn't work so Aurora at the customer service counter suggested an alternative payment method. She was extremely helpful in accessing the finance website. Aurora is a credit to your customer service. Thank you.

Well it has now been a 9 months since I bought the bed with this company. Good luck getting help with this so called " warranty " first the people you speak with are SO rude. The person that was suppose to come look at my bed called out sick the first time. Then the second time the person didint even bother calling me to let me know that he was going to be late.
I am here waiting for the the person to show up since they emailed me a time frame for me to stay home and wait and this person never showed up. I spoke to Liz in regards to my order 84c117042 all she said was " things happen and things come up this person is running late " basically saying " oh well it is what it is". I have bought my furniture with this company since 2014 and let me tell you NEVER AGAIN.

I have to thank Steve Elliott for going the extra mile for us. They extended our furniture receive date till July 2022. We had already picked up the 2 arm chairs but ordered 6 chairs total. Because of Steve's diligence, when he heard that the chairs were backordered, he searched several stores to get us the four chairs we still needed. I guess there still is "customer service excellence". Thanks Steve.

After having to call them ourselves - because the sales associate helping us never reached out to us - they finally informed us over a week later that they will not ship the chairs from our order from the Colorado location - despite there being 200 chairs at the CO location & ZERO matching tables, and 60 tables at the AZ location with ZERO matching chairs - I guess I just don't understand the logic in place here.
Because of that, we will be cancelling our order. We are very disappointed in this experience, and it has definitely impacted our impression of AFW - from the shipping delays, misinformation, and the poor customer service.

We have purchased several pieces of furniture from here over the past year. We bought a leather couch in November 2020 and were told it wasn't in stock but would be available for delivery in December. Had we known that December promise date would really be August 2021, I think we would have decided on a different couch. Every two weeks our salesperson called to update us on the couch, each time with a new date. December turned into January, then mid-February, then March, and so on. Shipping delays have affected furniture and other business.
I understand that. I wish that the salesperson could have been more upfront with true information. If your furniture isn't in stock, even if they say 2-3 weeks, that's only the first round. It could be months. Ours took 9 months. Knowing this, we did go back in September and purchase a dining table. The table we wanted was in stock (yes!) but the chairs weren't.
We picked a distant set of chairs that were in stock. We love the couch and the dining table/chairs. I am giving 4 stars because we love the furniture and have interacted with some wonderful people from AFW. I wish the experience with the delay had been less vague.

Beau was awesome in helping us find our new living room furniture. It just got delivered today and the delivery guys were also really awesome in getting this upstairs and delivered as quick as possible. I would highly recommend you shop here. The couch and entertainment stand we purchased for about $2400 would have easily been double or triple that elsewhere.

Their furniture is of poor quality. We bought a $400 coffee table in May 21 in early September 21 our child spilled a glass of WATER on the surface and it bubbled. We called customer service and they refused any repair without cost to us or replacement stating that we failed to take care of it. She actually said we should have protected it. We also bought wooden bunk beds that felt flimsy over sturdy and a captain's bed that when we rearranged the room we had to move it delicately. Overall ultimately poor quality but the coffee table top with big bubbles is ridiculous. And customer service is

Beware their return policy! There's a 15% restocking fee, and they don't make it easy to return items. We have purchased from AFW for years and have always been pleased with the selection and prices. We furnished our whole living room, from sofa to tables, to rug, and are very happy with everything. However they have changed their return policy, even making it difficult to arrange the return.
I went on their website first. Nothing about returning items came up in the search. Had to go to Support, and even then the options did not include Return--so I selected Service. Four email exchanges later, after being asked to repeat the same information and to send photos to show there was no damage, they finally said they'd be "happy " to accept my return--for a 15% restocking fee and after a reminder that they couldn't resell the chair as new and they're "not in the habit of selling used furniture." Ummm, really? I've run into this for electronics before, but not furniture.
It was a $200 office chair that didn't adjust to the height I needed for my desk. What a hassle! I still like their furniture and selection. Just be careful. The restocking fee could be pretty pricey if you're furnishing an entire room!

My wife dropped a bag underneath our new night stand and it turns out on the right side the sliding mechanism is defective. When we try to slide it back in it wouldn't go inside so we check to see if there's something wrong and sure enough this is what we found. We looked at their website and they only have a 5 day return policy along if we were to get it checked and they deem it our fault. We'll get charged doesn't seem fair especially faulty equipment we're hoping the two dressers we bought as a set doesn't the it out this way. We only had this set for 19 days and are ever home. We have only actually used it three times! Very disappointed!

Purchased whole living room set and was told it would be delivered by end of month. End of month came and went and no call or email. I call to get update status on my order and was told something happened to sofa and it will be another month. So overall two months to get a set I already paid for. Had I known it would be two months to get my order I would not have done it and even thinking of canceling order.

AMR is fantastic! The value blew me away! In fact I fell in love with just about everything in the store that I went way over budget. Ronald Conner was so incredible. He was such a good sport, didn't mind being my Sherpa (hauling my incredible pillows, prints & accessories all over the place), was incredibly knowledgeable and super friendly (I felt like I've known him forever)! Highly recommended American furniture warehouse no matter where u live in the country!
