STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I would give zero stars if I could. I purchased used cubicles for my office and what they delivered was a completely different product than what I agreed to purchase and every single mismatched piece looks like it was freshly pulled from a dumpster. The owner came and told me he would "make it right" and we would get a better product than what we agreed to purchase, which was not the case at all.

The end product is horrible, scratched up and dirty, and way too tall. What should have taken a few days took several weeks to install. The workers were late every day, when they actually showed up at all, they were terrible with communications, dirty and unprofessional. They never came back for the promised touch ups, or responded to the MANY texts and calls I made.

We ended up with a mishmash of cubicle pieces that don't match each other or the other cubicles we have in our space. Unfortunately, we had an influx of new staff coming in and desperately needed space for them to work so we opted to keep the hot mess Ruland's delivered, knowing we will be moving to a larger office soon and can leave this garbage behind.

Rulands is fantastic! Steve and his family are caring and helpful. They have donated their time and given valuable furniture to worthy causes. We need more community oriented businesses like Rulands. We'll miss them a lot!

I stopped at this place for the first time and it is so interesting. It has a lot of diverse office furniture but also is unique because of the building's historic nature. They sell used and new office furniture, and also some antiques. The place is very unique and quite large due to all the rooms full of office stuff. There is a lot to look at and sift through. If you are building your own home office, this is a good place to look.

I called in to see if they had storage lockers. Unfortunately they did not, but they were very helpful and friendly. They even provided an excellent recommendation where to get the lockers. They next time I am purchasing office furniture, I will be using them. Thank you!

I would stay away from this place. The only reason it's getting 2 stars and not one is because Tim as nice as well as helpful and the file cabinet we purchased is nice. Beyond that it has been an irritating experience. We bought a 4 drawer file cabinet for the office. When I bought it I noticed some of the rails were just a bit too short. Tim assured me they would have some with it that fit when I picked it up.

My husband picked it up and brought it to our office. Unfortunately there were NO RAILS and 4 clips were missing. So we went back and picked them up. I go to put the files back in and 3 of the 8 rails are too short(see pictured). They had cut the new ones 1/4 too short. I called to get new rails delivered since we had already been there two times already, one more than we should have.

The lady that I talked to was polite but apathetic. Basically she chalked it up to human error and told us we would need to drive there and pick new ones up. She didn't offer delivery even though we had come there for their mistake already and didn't offer to mail them. I will NEVER come here again. Aside from that the place is gross. It's old, unkept, and the file cabinet that we purchased was COVERED in dust. So unprofessional.

If you are looking for a fair deal I suggest Rulands Office Furniture. It is a family owned business where integrity is the most important part of their Mission Statement. I also found them very helpful understanding my office needs.

Good store. There are lots of office furniture. But if you wanna find something cheaper go to Craigslist. The prices that they have for used furniture are a bit higher.

What a friendly place to purchase office furniture and some great artwork as well. The Ruland family represents Sacramento well.

My boss is looking for someone to reupholster her massage chair. I used Yelps search engine to find businesses who would be able to help me. Out of six vendors only one came back with a quote because many did not reupholster electrical massage chairs. The quote was for $7-800. My boss told me to contact Rulands to see if they performed the service, or knew of anyone who could. Tim answered the phone, and was so very helpful to a girl who knew nothing about the materials, or models of my request.

He was patient to go over my process into finding someone to which he advised to just buy a whole new chair. The quote he claimed I received was outrageous. He was extremely knowledgeable, and his customer service skills were refreshing. If ever you need a business with a staff that knows their furniture. Give these guys a call, and hopefully Tim will be the one to answer. Enjoy!

I drive by Ruland's on my way home from work every day, but I have never had the opportunity to stop in. Every time I drive by and see their lovely cow outside, it makes me happy. I decided to call and share this news with the person that answered the telephone, but he sounded very unhappy with me. irritated more like it. Well, I was disappointed by this.

I love to get positive feedback even if it is silly. I was having a really bad day & seeing the cow made me feel joy for the first time all day. It's a bummer that the gentlman couldn't be happy with me, too. Now I'm feeling down again, but I'm too far now to drive by the happy cow & I will definitely not call a stranger to share my happiness because that went over terribly.

I think if he was not a good employee, he would have told me what to do with my comment.at least he was polite, but is it wrong to find happiness in little things? Animals are the best.even inanimate ones, because they are always happy you're talking to them, thrilled to see you, and never judge. I still love you, cow! Grumpy can't take that away from me. :

To be completely honest I was shocked to see how expensive things were. This is second hand equipment at nearly retail price in a lot of cases. I paid $205 for a 5 drawer file cabinet. There are lots of cosmetic blemishes and a very large rust spot on top. Several dings and considerable dents. They will not negotiate. You might get lucky and get 5% off like I did. All in all, I think the pricing can come down.

This place has an amazing selection of used furniture. I went in for a computer chair. They had chairs between about $20-600, where some of them new would be around $1,000. The employee, LC, was very cool. I recommend this place to anyone who needs used furniture.

Older used office furniture store. A decent selection of things. Prices are retail for used so this is not a rummage store. Prices on high Side of retail used. I was expecting a bargain but paid what thought was a little high. Overall worth a visit to find whatever you need. They have a large warehouse area paid with mostly good quality things.

A really great business! The employees are hard-working and fair. This company really cares about their community and their customers. Obviously I really enjoy driving by the cow on my way home from work!

I needed a computer/office chair and Rulands had the perfect one! Dave was incredibly knowledgeable and helped me find the best comfort to price chair I could imagine. I'll be back in the future for all of my office furniture needs! They are a huge warehouse with the biggest selection I've seen.

If you're looking for used office furniture, this place has everything. Highly recommend. This business has been established for many many years as well. The location isn't that great but you would sure find what you're looking for there

After our building landlord recommended Rulands, I reached out to them on multiple occasions to either purchase or sell office furniture during our office renovation. Their communication is terrible and Steve needs some lessons in professional business communication. After sending a handful of emails and not getting any reply, I went to their showroom on my lunch break.

And encountered a racist sign on their front door. I guess that kind of explains why the service was so bad. I turned away without going it and Rulands will not be getting any of my business. I hope they look at recent events and consider how harmful racism is.

Very friendly and helpful! Steve Ruland really has gone out of his way to help us with finding the right cubicle furniture that would work for our new office. He was also able to provide us with some parts we needed for other furniture we had purchased elsewhere, when other companies couldn't. Reasonable prices as well. We really need more kind and caring people like Steve!

Great store. I was on the hunt for a simple office chair and I found it here within the span of 5 minuets. The owner was super friendly and gave me a really great price on the chair. I will gladly shop here again.

Taking a moment to recommend a wonderful local business. I went in looking for a simple table for my child's room. It needed to be small, but not too small, open in the back, durable, lightweight; oh! and inexpensive! I had my active child with me, and they were so accommodating! They mostly had office furniture but went out of their way to find me just what I needed. The owner even loaded it into my car. All with a smile and very kind human interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend checking them out.

The best place to get used, quality office furniture at a low price and excellent customer service. Every time I go there, I get greeted right away and get offered to get help finding things I need. The store is HUGE and has everything you can think of for the office. They have stand up/sit down desks for just $250 and huge reception desks cheaper than any others I've found. They deliver and build all your furniture and always do it with a smile. Not once have I encountered an employee without a smile and I love that about them.

They work on commission here and prices are negotiable! Service was friendly and helpful. It's a warehouse wasteland for used, mostly old office furniture and at times, relatively very good condition items, but you'll have to hunt and peck. The prices I was quoted the first time around were expensive but once they saw I wasn't biting, prices got relatively better to the point where they were moderately priced, but not necessarily cheap!

I was in need of some office equipment for our Pediatric Orthotics Prosthetic Services Lab at Shriners Childrens Hospital in Sacramento and Steve and his team came through for us. I found what we needed and a great deal. Thank you Rulands.

After searching all over the grid and beyond for a desk chair with a bit of character, I was getting a little desperate. I saw Ruslands off N16th and figured it might be worth just seeing what they had. Am I glad I did! Jose was very helpful and charged me a very fair price for a solid 1930's schooldesk chair with loads of character. Sure it's "dusty" and located in a sketch part of town, but certainly not enough to keep you from finding that charming furniture piece. While their used selection may not be everyone, they do have a large wharehouse full of office furniture to choose from at reasonable prices. See for yourself!

Before jumping in your car to head over to Ruland's, please keep in mind that the context for this review is based on: 1. Friendly, honest and helpful customer service, 2. Prices and selection of USED "B-C" quality Herman Miller office panel systems and all the attendant hardware pieces at great prices, and 3. Great customer assistance at the warehouse (nearby).

If you're looking for new furnishings, or if you have a designer flair in mind, ya probably won't find this worth the drive. It's really best for a quickie office setup on the cheap (if you do it right).

If you need office furniture for cheap this is the place to go. They are extremely helpful and will work with on price if you buy more than one thing. It is tough to sell old stuff to them, because they've got a ton of stuff already, but I think they will buy newer office furniture. They have paintings, and other decorations. They also show art by local artists and have extended hours on Second Saturday.

The normal Saturday hours are only like 10 to 3 pm. A few days after my purchase I got a card in the mail thanking me for my purchase, which I think is really cool. When I have time, I plan on going back.
