Paper Dolls Home Furnishings was established 30 years ago by business partner Chris Haak and myself. Paper Dolls' first two years of business was as a wallpaper hanging service - hence the name "Paper Dolls." We opened a small retail shop in Elkhorn in 1986. Our ever-expanding clientele and talented staff have brought Paper Dolls Home Furnishings to its current 14,000 square foot location; a retail store complete with a wide selection of home furnishings and accessories, a design center, floral department and large display of area rugs.

As with all of the collections and services at Paper Dolls, you have many choices in the way you utilize our interior designers. We offer complete services from people who hold degrees in Interior Design. Our experienced designers maximize your budget and their time with consultations amid our sample-laden work area or in your home.

Homes are lived in and loved, and each one has a story to tell. I believe it should say something about its owner, so I prefer to design my rooms around the people who occupy them, rather than to simply impress. When a home doesn't reflect who you are, then it just becomes another space. My goal is to customize your space so that it becomes a part of your identity.

Julie has a 4 year degree in interior design from Iowa State University and has been working in the business since 1994. Julie started her career as a designer with Ethan Allen in Glen Ellyn Illinois, continued with Plunkett Furniture in Hoffman Estates Illinois as accessory buyer and merchandiser and has been working for Paper Dolls as an Interior Designer since 2002. Whatever your design style may be, Julie will be happy to help you find it when you come into Paper Dolls.

Pamela Juergens has been decorating and designing residential homes for nearly twenty years. With a knack for decorating that has always come naturally, friends and family would often elicit her style expertise, leading her to pursue a successful career in the interior design field, accumulating a portfolio saturated with inspiring homes as well as attractive commercial spaces. Her versatility has been instrumental in creating beautiful spaces, reflecting her clients' very own style and personality.
