Built in bookshelves and floating kitchen shelves by 57th Street Bookcase & Cabinet Review Great team to work with; everyone was super professional, accessible and delivery was on time despite crazy covid times. The final product was clean cut and great quality, yet very reasonable priced. My kids are happy to finally have place to store all of their books and I am happy to have extra storage in the kitchen! We got floor to ceiling bookshelves put in our basement and we couldn't be happier! they're gorgeous, sturdy, and we can't wait to fill them up. The team was professional and communicative, and did great work!

We are very pleased with the work 57th Street Bookcase did for us. Sam was very responsive from the first email and he had our built-ins designed, modeled, and quoted within a week of meeting with us.not an easy task considering the detail, scale, and that we tasked him with making them look like they had been there from the beginning. The work Sam and his team did was incredible.

His design incorporated everything we asked for, yet he was also flexible and accommodating when we had to make changes on the fly. Both Sam and his install team came back on several occasions to ensure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. Would definitely recommend 57th Street Bookcase and would hire them again in a heartbeat. And hey, if I'm being honest, the only minor critique I can offer is that the lead time from design approval to install is fairly lengthy (12-16 weeks), but I guess this is what happens when a pandemic shuts down the world and people decide to spruce up their homes.just about every skilled craftsman/woman is in high demand, so plan accordingly!

We have been extremely satisfied with the work of 57th Street Bookcase and Cabinet in designing and building custom furniture of the highest qualify for our family to our specifications for the past 15 years. This has included beautiful glass-doored book cases with cabinets below and walnut podiums to place on desks to create standing desk opportunities in our home offices. They also provide a rare level of personal attention and service, which has made it an unusual please to deal with them over the years.

I think this business is closed. I met with someone at my home to build bookcases 5 weeks ago. He has completely gone cold. No one answers the e-mail address posted on the web site. No one answers the phone. I have left two voicemails that weren't returned. I finally e-mailed to bluntly ask: "Are you still in business?" No reply. I don't know if my contact is the owner, or is just an employee who's overworked, or if he has been fired, or what.

I'm ready to spend. They look to do great work. I would love to hire them (and change this review to 5 stars). I just have no other way of getting their attention at this point. It is regrettable.

We have purchased solid cherry bookcases and end tables from 57th St. periodically the last 10 years. Quality, sturdy and good-looking pieces. We had a cat that would constantly jump up on the kitchen counters the last 8 years. Because he refused to let me clip his claws, the damage he caused to the drawer fronts and doors beneath the sink were sickeningly unsightly.

They are solid cherry wood. The cabinetry is not from 57th. On a whim, I got in contact with 57th St. and asked them if they'd be willing to refinish the drawer fronts/doors if I brought them in. I emailed photos first. They took the job. It took them about 2 weeks to complete the job. When I went to pick them up, I could NOT believe what a beautiful job they did restoring those pieces.
