Carl and Lucille Hatcher established Carl Hatcher Furniture in 1971 at the current store location. They always took pride in the quality of furniture and service they provided to their customers. In May of 1992, they sold the business to their daughter and son-in-law Becky and Marty Duncan, who have continued to provide the same tradition of service and quality that their customers have come to expect.

I would like to say that this place has phenomenal customer service, I'm not going to say what Ron did to take care of me because everyone would be doing it, but he helped me out with a purchase that i had made, they have the best customer service I've ever dealt with, I've been buying furniture for many years, I will be doing all of my shopping at Carl Hatcher

Thank you Carl Hatcher Furniture for helping me out with quality furniture for a fair price on the spur of the moment. I have a rental cabin in Gatlinburg TN and my guests damaged a king bed. The damage was reported on the morning of my guests checked out and I had new guests checking in at 4:00 PM. I needed a new bed fast but I live out of state.
My first call was to Carl Hatcher Furniture and Ron was excellent. He was able to help me purchase a replacement, sturdy wood, king bed. He also was able to have his deliver crew deliver it immediately to my cabin and set it up while my cleaning crew was there. His deliver crew even removed my damaged bed. I cannot express my appreciation for their prompt service.
From the sales representative Ron to the very nice deliver crew, I was extremely impress. I highly recommend Carl Hatcher Furniture. I will certainly be using them for all my furniture needs in the future.

They greeted us we came into the front door. We are very happy with the quality of furniture. Rachel was our salesperson she was extremely helpful she made us feel like family. She was wonderful to deal with. I gave them a five star we had a wonderful customer experience. It's a beautiful store with lots of furniture furnishings.

I looked at sectionals on the online shop and made a list of the ones that my wife and I liked. I called the store and inquired about the sectionals and told the lady that I made a list of the ones I was interested in. She told me that not all the ones on the website would be in the store. I said ok, I understand that but could I give you the list I made and see if you could check to see the price and if they were available in the store.
She said it would be better to just come down to the store. Its Memorial Day weekend, I am not going to go out in this crazy traffic just to see if 5 of the 63 sectionals I liked were even available. If they can't give me the price over the phone or let me know if the ones I liked were in the store then I won't give them my business. It even says on the website to call for pricing or information and they can't do that; they will just say come down to the store.

Taylor is so nice and patient. I have visited several furniture stores in Knoxville. In one store no one even acknowledged my husband and me. On this day my mom and I was looking at lift chairs. She was so helpful and kind to my mom. We went la couple weeks ago to a medical supply store to look at their recliners. My mom was looking for a small size.
The one she wanted to sit in was occupied by a man on the phone. He did not offer to get up and acted aggravated when asked by the salesman. Come up find out he owns the store. Not a way to make a sale. But local and help those in your community that offer public service.

We purchased a full Liberty brand bedroom suite, living room suite and dining room suite and the kitchen table and one end table in the bedroom suite started peeling. After reaching out to them on multiple occasions over a 6+ month period, Marty came out and promised to get back with us. Now, another 6+ months later, he is nonresponsive. Front desk always rushing us off of the phone.
This furniture was $11,700.00 and under warranty when we asked them to fix it. We didn't even ask for them to fix it for free, we just want it fixed, period. Sadly, after years of doing business with them, we can no longer recommend them. It is really disappointing because we have always loved dealing with them over the years.
