This is a fantastic place for home decor and furniture! The staff are very friendly and always willing to help you find anything you are looking for, I can't say enough good things about the people here. I love coming to Blacklion and walking around the store, I can literally spend hours here. The set up and decoration are beautiful, you will fall in love at the first visit!
There are so many vendors and options, you can't leave this store empty handed, something will catch your eye, really Here's a photo of the interior of the store and two of the furniture that I have bought

Coming from Davidson to Charlotte is a treat for us! I needed a break from my medical school studies so we took the drive. Black Lion is a must! The store is packed with home decor options, furniture, gift ideas, the list goes on and on. One of my favorite booths is Fable. The owner is a doll. She is just a real person with a passion for play and imagination. And the staff at Black Lion are friendly & ready to help. Don't hesitate, if you are in the mood to shop, just go!

You can't go wrong when trying to look for a gift when you shop at Blacklion. The hundreds of booths allow you to shop for many different options. There is no map or specificity to the store but just ask customer service and they can typically lead you to what you may be looking for. I have been stopping by Blacklion fir years. While many booths remain the same there as many that do change so it always seems fresh.
I enjoy walking up and down the isles looking at all the items to shop for. Regarding prices.they can be all over the place so it's best yo look around. So booths are ridiculous while others are quite fair. I wish Blacklion was able to stay at the Concord Mills location. It used to be a regular weekly visit. Now I am only to visit this location 1-2 times a year. If you go. take your time and enjoy!

If you enjoy shopping and having a ton of options, this store is for you. It has many booths with a wide variety of merchandise in each booth. It has everything from candles, journals, jewelry, paintings, glassware to furniture and old timey hardware items. I love this store and enjoy going every time I do. The staff is also very pleasant and helpful.

I go into Black Lion periodically to search for key decorating items. On occasion I find one or two pieces I decide to purchase. This review is not about their inventory, however. It is about what happens during and after you buy. In this case $3000+ of merchandise. Once upon a time. 1. Found a sales person. Identified the items I wanted. Need to know your delivery charges.
She did not know. I'll find the manager and ask. You do that. I'll be in the coffee shop. 2. Here are the charges for the company we use. OK good. Seems reasonable. Are they insured, experienced? She did not know. I'll find the manager and ask. You do that. I'll be in the coffee shop. 3. Yes they are insured. OK good. Let me settle up.
Well we have to wait in this line for a cashier. No, you have to wait in this line. I'll be in the coffee shop. 4. Ok I have a cashier. Great. I have had enough coffee (for the record I had to buy it myself). Oh, I am not sure how to add all this up. I'll talk to the manager. Here she is. OK I have it now. This is the total. Great. Anyone wondering if the manager might also want to meet a customer who just bought $3000+ worth of merchandise?
That would be a 'no'. I understand - 3 grand isn't as much as it used to be. OK the delivery people will call to set up an appointment. Thanks. I'm out of here. Whew! 5. Text from delivery folks. Saturday between 9-12. Will call ahead. Great. 6. Text on Sat - we are on our way. Great. I'm here. 7. 2 men and a 13 yo boy. Gave the first piece, a chair, to the boy. Really? 8. Men got the large desk out of the truck and started carrying into the house.
As soon as they were in the house, I told them to put it down. You guys would have done better to scope out your path before unloading. Led them around the corner. See? You need to move some furniture in your way. Must be your first rodeo. I understand. Only the best folks do delivery for Black Lion. 9. Inspected merchandise. Wow. It appears that the dust on the furniture in the store, was also delivered with the merchandise at no extra charge. Great. Perhaps, I should just be happy everything came safely.
That no one at Black Lion might have thought to inspect and clean prior to pick up. What am I thinking? Oh yeah, I'm thinking excellent customer service. Got to stop doing that.

I stopped in BLACKLION on a Tuesday afternoon. There were only a few shoppers, so I mostly had the store to myself. The store has small items (candles, picture frames, decorative hand towels), medium sized items (lamps, trays, vases, artwork), and large items (chairs, tables couches, etc.). They have a big selection and they also offer some custom options.
Some of what they sell seems to be TJ Maxx type quality while other items seem to be more well made. They have mostly classic items with some fun, modern items mixed in. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices vary - but for a large mirror you're looking at $250+, upholstered chair at $600+, and so on.

I've been to a few consignment stores and BLACKLION is definitely the largest. It is the size of a SuperCenter and organized with aisles and aisles of individual setups. Lots of tchotchkes, furniture, home decor and such. A few of the spaces are staffed and they'll do custom alterations and engravings. I've not seen that before. If you're specifically looking for home decor, this is the right spot.
If you're looking for a specific item, good luck. I don't know how you would find one specific item in this massive store of stuff. But it's great for a browse, for sure!

The first time I ever visited a Blacklion it was somewhere on the north side of the county almost 10 years ago. I've never been back to one since. I remember it being neat. But I was a college student. Broke as a joke and only interested in the minimum amount of furniture and decor for function, not looks. I happened in here out of lunchtime boredom one day.
I gotta say I was only about 75% right about what I saw before. Yeah, it's a ton of gaudy decor. Seriously, you name it, they've got it. It reminds me of the kind of stuff I'd see in an old lady's house. The 75% I mentioned above is in reference to how much of it is just mass-produced. Made to look artistic, unique or antique-y but lacking character or a story.
All that stuff, I could mostly do without. Furniture to no end including re-upholstering companies stationed here. Wall hangings that say things like "Fall y'all!" and carry Biblical sayings like life slogans. Trays, figurines, paintings, pictures, fake flowers and plants, vases and pots, statues, blankets, rugs. I could go on and on. What really caught my eye in here were the intermittent truly handmade and even LOCAL goods.
Basically all of the above but with more uniqueness. Yeah, the slogan signs with a touch of Carolina. A painting here and there that was actually painted by someone rather than screen printed onto canvas. And most amazing to me was the antique (or "vintage" as the owner insisted) shop tucked away in the back depths of this behemoth store. To me it was antique anyways.
They seemed to have an obsession with old chairs and their relative parts. There was a shelf-load of old records. Old farm tools, boxes, billiard balls. All mixed in with a spattering of new stuff like the rest of Blacklion. The store in its entirety is massive, as I said. You cannot get through here in under an hour if you scrutinize every booth in search of authenticity.
The few prices I bothered to look at seemed fair, though I didn't buy anything. I would definitely come back though. Despite my minimalism, it would be tough to walk out of here again without something.

I always forget about Blacklion, but recently I went to lunch with a friend, and since we were so close, she asked if I minded if we ran in here so she could pick something up. I saw a lot of great stuff here! Next time I need to shop for a housewarming or wedding present, this is the place to come!

Very beautiful store with many unique items. Some items are modern, and others are vintage. The setup resembles IKEA, with the "showroom" concept, but features the various businesses who are partnered with Black Lion. If you're looking for the perfect mirror, painting, furniture, or decor, I recommend Black Lion.

This store is bigger than I thought. It's very overwhelming. It's great to come here for home items as well as decoration. They have everything and anything you can think of. It's all set up in little shops as well as displays. The store is so big we didn't even finish going through the whole store. I do have a few items in mind that will make me want to go back!

Blacklion is a great place to shop for a variety of needs-from clothing, to children's, to "for the home" and more. I went in last weekend looking for something warm to wear over a dress, and found a beautiful grey cape. It was exactly what I needed, and I found it easily! Blacklion is organized very well, and things are clearly labeled. The Holiday decor at most booths was 50% or more off. There were lots of good deals to be had. This is a great shopping alternative to traditional malls, and department stores.

There is so much to see at this location and I love to go especially at Christmas. Between the cookies they have while you look at the collection of Krinkles to all the special treasures you find that you would love to fill your car with, Black Lion is a destination and I'm sure I'll be destined to go back their again in a few weeks.

Love Blacklion. Can always find something fun and interesting. Don't go with preconceived ideas. It's been there a while so a basic selection of vendors plus new ones all the time. Range from exquisite hand made furniture to fun serendipity items. The best is to go back several times to finally find the perfect item. I especially love discovering one of a kind pieces of jewelry.

Huge store full of mini stores of goods (furniture, wall accessories, floral decor, accessories for kitchens, dining, office, you just name it!). Place - huge! It took me a while to walk around the whole place to see what each set-up shops had to offer. It is nicely organized in rows, so you have a chance to make your way up and down the aisles. Prices - It is pricey! I was able to do well by not buying much, because it is just expensive for a small piece.
