We design for utility, ergonomics, and the sculptural values of line, light, shadow, and form. Because it is functional, beautiful, and versatile, we think you would want to keep a roof over it, making heirlooms of it. We build rocking chairs of these, and sometimes other, fine woods or combinations of woods. All are strong and hard enough for long service. The chairs are identical in contour and comfort, but they are custom in the sense of "made to order and extra fine." Our rockers may be customized. We, Gary Weeks and Company, guarantee that our rocking chairs will be delivered without damage or loss.
Our rocking chairs are made to order, in all ways extra fine, and can be customized to your specifications. The Weeks Rocker is guaranteed to be the most comfortable, the most beautiful, and the best constructed rocking chair that you have experienced, or we will refund your money and pay for return shipping.
If our rocking chair is not comfortable for you, you can return it for a full refund including shipping both ways. Note the height difference of the happy couple who came to pick up their mesquite wood rocker. We discovered the curve for the back splats (the four vertical back supports) by trial and error--many trials, much error.

Today we met Gary Weeks, a genuine, down-to-earth fella who's made his passion/obsession (his words!) his profession. My parents purchased a rocking chair from him six years ago and had it shipped out to California where they currently reside, but since we were visiting the area, we went to go see his showroom/workshop by appointment via email. Gary greeted us upon arrival and invited us in to check out (and sit in) his offerings, then moved on to a tour of his workshop.
So fun and informative, and truly awesome to see the unique work and care that goes into creating an excellent quality piece of craftsmanship. He showed his jigs, saws, sanders, and explained how their process works. Clearly he loves what he does and takes pride in his work. And for a good reason, my dad LOVES his chair and uses it nightly while watching TV or eating a snack.

I own 3 of these magnificent works of art: 2 in walnut and 1 in pecan. They are a joy to sit in and a joy to behold. This is furniture of the highest level of craftsmanship and design of the highest order. I hope to pass from this earthly life sitting in one of these beauties, likely the pecan rocker in my library. But who knows when the time will come?

I cannot say enough good things about Gary Weeks and his team. I bought a dining room table with eight chairs, and two rocking chairs, and my life has been transformed. It is so rare to see such high-quality, handmade, detailed work these days and to have such personalized service was an added boon. This is the old-fashioned way of doing business that we wish we would see more of now - perfect customer service, personalized care and attention to detail that is missed. The quality of the work makes these heirloom pieces and I cannot be happier with what I have. I only wish that he would make more furniture as I would buy all of his pieces!
