LWI did custom cabinet work for me back in 2013 and did an amazing job. I gave them a great review and said I would definitely use them again. However, I recently tried to give them a new, fairly large order but found out that the original owner is no longer in charge and the business is being run by another family member who basically told me they were too busy to deal with a previously very happy customer on a re-order and just blew me off.

That certainly is not the way I would deal with a previously very happy customer who has recommended them several times to others who have complimented me on our beautiful cabinets. From reading a significant number of other recent reviews it looks like it's probably just as well that they wouldn't do the new job for me. It seems the company has changed significantly under the new management.

LWi was able to custom design some rather unique cabinets for my travel trailer, getting them to fit into the existing shell. The finish quality is excellent and the lacquer has held up very well over time. Despite being 1,000 miles away from their shop, they were able to design the cabinets remotely and ship them straight to my door, finished and ready to assemble. Assembly was also very easy.

LWI was great and easy to work with when customizing my new kitchen! They were very helpful in choosing a color that complimented my current home to make it really make my house a home! The owner and staff are very professional and deliver great work. I would highly recommend using them for any cabinetry project! Will definitely be a repeat customer.

Would not recommend hiring them. While they did recently furnish cabinets for 1 of a 3 room project, they quit after the 1st. The explanation I got was they weren't making any money off my job and they were too busy anyway. The crummy part, I think, is they used my depsoit for room 2 to pay the balance on room 1 without speaking to me or trying to work out any sort of deal.

By that time I had already delt with some issues so honestly I wasn't too upset that I didn't have to deal with them anymore. For example, some pieces were not built according to the drawings and had to be fixed. Also, I was told stuff was ready to be picked up and when I arrived it wasn't actually finished. Truth is I think something has changed recently because I've bought their cabinets on multiple occasions over the past several years without any major issues.

For whatever reason this time my project had some quality and craftsmanship issues. After rejecting less than perfect cabinets twice they said basically thanks but, no thanks for your business. Maybe they thought I was too picky but I hope by writing this they start taking some pride in showing off the high quality work they are capable of and have some fresh-eyes inspect products better before delivery.

Why show up with cabinets that are good enough when you know people paying for custom want something they can't get anywhere else. If you can't make money on jobs doing that then something else is wrong so don't blame your customers. Also, at least 2 five-star reviews for this business are from employees posing as customers.

I hired LWI Custom Cabinets to fabricate, stain and install cabinets in 11 apartments I was remodeling in Austin. We are long time owners and didn't want to go the mdf or particle board route due to concerns with water leaks. in the apartments, but we didn't want some of the higher end options that are standard features in LWI's standard cabinets for cost saving reasons.

We interviewed and shopped several cabinet makers in and around the Austin area and chose LWI. Linda worked with us on design features to meet exactly what we wanted and our price point without compromising her work product. Once we agreed on price and design we most importantly had to discuss timing. This small remodel project included fabricating, staining and installing all the cabinets in 11 apartments where the work had to be complete by a hard deadline.

We had preleased the apartments and had tenants moving in. Matthew who runs the shop worked with us and OUR changing install date to make the everything work and he was in contact with us throughout the process. As one might expect with any construction process, there were bumps along the road, but Linda and Matthew worked with me and we finished the project on time.

If you're in the construction business you how critical cabinet installation is to completing the job on time. The cabinets are excellent quality, finished on time and budget. I highly recomend LWI Custom Cabinets.

This is a great place to get your cabinets! I've used LWI many times for my clients, and they do exceptional work, from design to installation to finishes (paint and stain). From the start of the project through the end, they are very helpful and pay close attention to detail. They also offer helpful suggestions which improve the overall project. They are patient with changes as well.

One of the best things about them is their timing! Designs for our clients usually arrive in my in-box the next day. Revisions as well. They deliver when promised, which is unusual these days. Don't be put off with their location - they are happy to come into Austin and usually can accommodate my clients' schedules.
