We're not like other furniture stores. Period. We work to offer you better prices, greater convenience, and superior service every time you shop with us. Jerome's Furniture began as the dream of Jim and Esther Navarra. Wanting everyone to feel welcome was a priority when they opened their first furniture store over 65 years ago. If you weren't on a first-name basis when you walked in, you would be by the time you left! Jerome's is still owned and operated by the Navarra family. Jerry and Ann Navarra joined the business in the early 1970's, and the 900-employee company features six Navarra family members, three of whom are third-generation retailers.

So we bought a pull out bed couch from Jeromes at the beginning of June. Couch looks nice, but is totally uncomfortable and it feels like we are sitting on wood. Just really hard to sit on. I called Jeromes and asked can we send the couch back. The woman said no, that there is no return policy and once the item is delivered you can't return it, so now we are stuck with a couch that is totally unbearable to sit on, more or less lay on and they got us for $1200.
This is a horrible policy. I will never buy an item from them again. You can't return an item that isn't what you thought it would be or that is poor quality? They give you the option of buying online, but knowing now what I know, this is the last item we will be purchasing from them and I will let family and friends know that they have horrible customer service and a horrible return policy. The lady I spoke to was flat on the phone, gave no options and was disrespectful. I am now stuck with a horrible couch! I hate them!

If there was a NEGATIVE number above it would be my choice. I have NOW waited over a year with ridiculous errors made times 5. Wrong couch, wrong pillows x3. Never ever come through as promised. I NEED the pillows delivered ASAP. They were promised 4 weeks ago. The Better Business Bureau is now helping me with this horrible customer service. Loralee Cambier loraleecam@gmail.com

Super disappointed in the service i received from this store on Morena blvd. Lets start by saying i purchased 3 items from the store and the couch is where it all went downhill. This couch that i saw on the showroom floor seemed to be a good fit for what i was looking for until it arrived there was a stain on the cushion and the leg was not centered as it was centered on the showroom floor so i refused the couch.
The delivery guy told me it was weight issue but then admitted it was a defected couch and contacted his supervisor and told me someone will be in contact with me shortly that day. After about 3 days of no one calling or answering my calls i decided to go up to the store and was rudely greeted by a heavy set hispanic male. Asking to speak to a manager he told me the manager was busy which was false and him thinking the situation was comical just set me off internally but kept my cool but i was not leaving until i spoke with a manager. Spoke to a lady there in customer service and finally got a call later that day to schedule a new couch to be delivered and was told it would be inspected before delivery.
Couch comes about 4 days later and its the same issue the leg is not centered once again so i refuse the couch AGAIN. I get a call from evelyn the manager there and she really wasn't interested in rectifying the situation and seeming annoyed so she offers to wave the delivery fee for half off which was comical and also insulting seeing as how i'm taking off work to wait with a 4 hour window for a couch the second time around still defected. Evelyn tells me this next couch will for sure be inspected before delivery and she apologizes once again for lack of communication on the stores part but has a bit of an attitude in the process.
The 3rd couch comes a few days later and before the guys can bring it upstairs i just ask if they would wanna open it now to inspect it and make sure the leg is centered so that they aren't wasting time bringing it up the stairs and sure enough its the same issue. DEFECTED.This is the 3rd time yes the 3rd couch that has been delivered and at this point i think i'm being punk'd because there is no way this is real life.
The delivery guys call their boss and tell her the situation and she speaks to me and apologizes yet again and says they can discount the couch if i still want it or get in contact with the manufacturers yet again to see if they can send me a new one and that i would receive a call Monday or Tuesday that next week and hadn't heard anything so i finally call today June 23rd to speak with someone and Christina tells me that i have a few options of how i want to move forward because this has been a headache and just flat out rude and disrespectful of how this whole situation has been handled.
From what i gather the showroom couch is not the actual couch they send out. Its just staged that way which is false advertisement by this Jeromes store. NO one answers the phone either unless you call a certain number they personally give you because the website number doesn't put you through to anyone and the people working there will actually tell you that to your face. Lastly its just really disrespectful to run a business like this to waste their drivers time and energy as well as my time and energy missing work and dealing with this for almost a month.
To some this may not be a big deal but i want what i paid for and what i saw on the showroom floor. If i wanted an off centered couch i would have purchased a defected couch. Please do better Jeromes and get some people in there that care about the business not just a sale.

Time to finally leave this well-deserved, TERRIBLE review. What a complete bunch of money-grubbing, inconsiderate, and shameful people that I ultimately dealt with at this horrendous place. I'm going to post my review in chronological order as I believe that will be most helpful: 1) As a result of extensive injuries to my right shoulder - which are connected to a US Veteran protected disability - I am having surgery on my right shoulder.
These injuries emanate originally from my time in the Marine Corps. And yes, I'm right handed. 2) Since one must sleep sitting up - or in an inclined position - post shoulder surgery, I began shopping for a recliner chair in preparation for this operation. 3) I went to this Jerome's location on Morena Blvd and told the sales associate - who clung to me and my girlfriend as we entered the warehouse- what I was looking for and why.
I tried out a few recliner chairs and then ultimately found one that I THOUGHT I liked. 4) More than $1800+ later (including taxes and delivery), I received the recliner chair. Never did anyone tell me out loud at this point that ALL SALES ARE FINAL. (I'm sure that was definitely written in the sales agreement that was swiftly shoved in front of my face and which I was expected not to read before signing).
Good strategy. I didn't read it! 5) what I didn't know about recliner chairs is this: If your feet hang off of the chair, you'll have a very hard time sleeping and/or wake up with nearly broken ankles. I'm a short guy and my ankles just barely hit the edge allowing my feet to hang off. I woke up with such terribly painful ankles after only a few hours of sleep that I was worried I'd have to call the ankle surgeon after the shoulder surgeon.
This is because your body goes dead when you sleep and gravity pulls everything down (obviously - but it's really exaggerated when you sleep). (Again- I made it clear why I was shopping for a recliner chair, and you'd think that these sales extraordinaire sharks would be aware of these facts about sleeping on something that doesn't support one's feet) 6) I went into the store and talked to the shark who sold the chair to me.
She said that I'd need to talk to the manager, who wasn't in at that time. While I was there, I looked around to see if anything might suit my post-surgery sleeping needs, since I anticipated that they MIGHT offer me a store credit as opposed to a refund. Nothing suited my needs at all. 7) I received a call from the store manager - which pleasantly surprised me.
I explained my situation to her very kindly and gently and humbly asked that if there was anything they could do to make an exception for MEDICAL REASONS to their "ALL SALES FINAL POLICY THAT I KNEW NOTHING ABOUT (NEITHER DID MY GIRLFRIEND WHO SHOPPED WITH ME)" - I suppose we're just morons who don't listen, right?! The sales manager told me that she'd have to run it up to corporate and get back to me. 8) Several Days go by and I hear nothing. 9) I begin calling them over and over, day after day.
I keep getting the recording "due to the high volume of calls no one can get to you at this time - or something to that effect" - you get it - but what became suspiciously obvious was that they were screening my calls at this point. Get this: I got through to Jerome's every time I ever tried to call. Then I shop there and see a dozen sales sharks walking around a showroom with a handful of customers.
Now - after telling them I want to return something - when I call at 10am on a Monday, 2:30pm on a Tuesday, 10:45am on a Wednesday - etc, etc. their phones are way too tied up with their overwhelming level of demand? 10). Finally I got ahold of the manager (when I called from a different line). I asked her why I hadn't heard back from her. She said they've been super busy and she was waiting for an answer from corporate.
She told me that they can make an exception and take it back with a restocking fee (15-20% (can't remember) + delivery fees) and that they could only offer me a store credit for the remainder, which was convenient as I already told them that nothing else in their store would work for me as it relates to my forthcoming shoulder surgery. 11) I'm stuck with a recliner that I can't use for the purposes in which I sought it out.
And I leave this review for you. ***Don't shop at Jerome's. ***** Oh yeah, to add insult to injury, I asked the wound up, soulless sales associate when we were there the first time and getting duped into the sales farce of a lifetime: "Hey should I get some of this leather cleaner?" The bottles were stacked up right by the cash register, so yes I'm a total sucker.
She naturally said "oh yes, you'll want to have some of that on hand." So I bought it. Yeah the delivery guys brought a bottle by default when they arrived with the chair I can't use. I'm sure the sales person with the vacant soul wasn't aware of that, though. No problem, Jerome's!

I really enjoyed my shopping experience. I only wished they honored a military discount. This jester goes a long way with veterans. Also, unfortunately I didn't get what I ordered. The delivery was supposed to be either Saturday or Sunday latest but it came Monday and all for it to be wrong. I ordered a king bed with a king mattress cover. I got the king mattress but queen cover.
The driver very professional and immediately call customer service for me but Derrion the customer service rep could not help me and all he could say was he would have the store call me back. Not satisfied at all.

I purchased a 3 piece sectional with a chase in 2019. Since then the chase part of the couch has been just horrible and keeps sinking. I purchased a 5 year warranty, but Jerome's Claims Department refuses to fix this couch. Last year the same exact same problem happened and won't stop. If would have known how janky their furniture was. I would have gone to Big Lots or Ikea. It would have been way cheaper than what I paid for this Piece!

Salesman said store had 25% of regular inventory, although he was nice enough, I quickly surmised this store wasn't working for me. I'm also wary of consistently bad reviews found online (see BBB). Women's restroom was closed for cleaning during a peak weekend time frame. Jerome's spends a lot of money for commercials, but fails back it with in-store inventory and post-purchase customer service. All in all, first and last visit to Jerome's.

I recently bought a sofa/loveseat set from this Jeromes'. I could not be more disappointed with the experience. Jeromes' only cares about taking your money, without a worry about customer satisfaction. They will tell you whatever you want to hear to make sure they get a sale and that they can upcharge you on their "Oops Protection Plan." When my wife and I were in the store, they told us the items we wanted were in stock and could be delivered ASAP (they were not in stock and we didn't receive them for 6 months!) and after they had convinced us to buy the set, they went all in on pressuring us to buy their "Oops Protection Plan." In the process of pressuring us, they lied about what would be covered by the protection plan - which led to our claims getting rejected.
After complaining that they had misrepresented what was covered in order to get us a sale, they essentially told us "We're sorry we lied to you, but you should have known we were lying." Sadly, the "Oops Protection Plan" can't save you from the biggest "oopsie" you can make when buying furniture - buying from Jeromes. Do not buy from here. and if you must, do not let them upsell you on their BS protection plan.

We bought a new outdoor loveseat last month, love the loveseat, super disappointed with the customer service. Our salesman told us it came with oil and a furniture cover, very cool. When setting up our delivery time, asked if those items came in the box when we picked up or got them that day. Was told when we pick up. Picked up the loveseat, asked if the cover and oil were in the box, told yes.
They were not, but an open pen was, stuck to the tape. Called Jerome's, no answer. Went into Jerome's, was told we would have an email follow up. Corrected our address which was entered on our order wrong, just in case these items would get shipped to us. Husband has been getting text follow ups saying we would hear soon, and nothing, last text was two weeks ago that we should know at the end of that week.

Bill was so helpful and patient with my sister and I. We went in looking for couches and left with some fabulous accessories.vases, book ends, and a whole lot of other fun items. What a great place to shop and you can't beat the prices! Thank you to Mindy for all the help with locating the perfect decorations. It was a great experience!

Here we go, ,,,, I have bought two reclaimers at Jerome's, first one had to be taken back and exchanged due to poor quality of the frame and cushions even though it was the supposedly their best recliner. Got a different one with insurance included and low and behold, exactly the same issues happened. When I call to make my insurance valid, I'm told that cushions, leather and general quality of the furniture is not covered under the insurance.
So what's the insurance for? Big mistake to buy from Jerome's, cheap costs more in the end! And even more of a mistake is to let yourself get sucked into an insurance that is literally worthless. Good luck if you shop at Jerome's, you will be beyond sorry to have done so.

Nhat Tran is by MILES the best salesman I've ever dealt with, I told him what I wanted, and he found it for me immediately. He didn't try to get me to buy something I didn't need and didn't pressure me into buying something out of my price range. He left me alone to roam the store to look at other things, instead of hovering over me like an Ashley's employee would.
The guy needs a raise. The store is clean and has a huge selection. I buy furniture pretty often because I move a lot and this was the best experience I've had. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone considering buying furniture.

Went to Jerome's in Fountain Valley for the first time referenced by work colleagues. The store has everything you need and best part is that the furniture is real wood and not composite. I was willing to buy a mattress and the whole queen bedroom set. The downside is that no one offered to help me, when I came in two of the salesperson looked a me and just ignored me. I saw that couples and families were very well attended. I'll probably get what I liked online.

Star rating is 0. It's been 6 months and I'm still waiting for delivery in full. Nobody should have to wait 6 months or longer especially when they paid in full at purchase. Some pieces were delivered damaged and had to be returned and/or drawers do not slide or shut properly. I do not recommend Jerome's furniture at all

Went in just to get an idea. The sales person David was more than beyond helpful. With the way product/manufacturing is going he was very knowledgeable and helpful. His advice helped me to with my decision. Thank you for your expertise and for being patient with us today! Bought a wonderful sofa for our new place.

Jeromes was our "Go-To" furniture store in the past but the standards have fallen. We had horrible service on orders within the past couple of years and I was urged not to use them again. I ordered a chest and dresser and was expecting to hear of the delivery date. Assuming Covid might have had something to do with the delay, I waited without hearing a word for the prepaid items.
I contacted them again and was told the order would arrive in mid-November for something I paid for in mid-August. Nothing happened so I contacted them again and was told mid-January. I contacted them today and was told mid-May. How can a great company have fallen so far? We have been loyal customers and I truly hope the company will pay attention to this kind but honest review. Changing the review from one to three stars because someone actually took responsibility.

Michael was courteous, listened, and offered advice on requirements. Went to get help when needed. It was a very painless process. They might not be the cheapest (I could have gotten a similar product, without a 5 year warranty). I thought the insurance was worth the price difference. I would do business with Jerome's again. We have purchased a mattress and motorized bed frame from them over the last 6 years.

We ordered our living room and bedroom set at this location and spend a lot of money. The manager and sales associate's customer service was horrible. We were told our furniture would be ready to deliver by now and it's not! They straight up lied to us. I have been trying to get through the phone and waited over 30 minutes to talk to someone and no one answered!
I will NEVER EVER purchase from Jerome's again! I wish I could just get a refund and spend my money elsewhere! Please train your sales associates to be more customer service oriented!

Buy furniture. Pay for the "white glove" delivery. They will call to confirm the day before. Then they will call again to confirm (confirmed both times) delivery between 1030-230. Next day missed a few calls at 9. Talk to driver at 1030 and he says we'll we have your coffee table but the rest we don't have because you didn't confirm AGAIN this morning when we called you.
Long story short: you need to confirm twice the night before and again the morning of (not anywhere near your delivery window). I'm not buying from this place again. -signed - guy that still doesn't have a couch (maybe tomorrow)

Update: store wanted ME to contact THEM and after relaying the issue said this was going to happen bc of the type of feathers in the couch. (See photo of their response below.) Extremely shady and dishonest! Avoid Jerome's! My husband and I purchased the lounge sectional about a year and a half ago. It was super comfortable at first and my friend had recently got one so I bought the same.
Within 6 months it completely began to fall apart. The feathers poke out from the cushions, pricking you. Neither the seat or back cushions retain their shape and constantly need to be "fluffed" everyday to avoid sitting on either complete flatness or lumps while the sitting cushions slide out from under you. This happened to my friend's couch, as well. Jerome's is horrible quality! Shop elsewhere

I bought furniture there a little over a year ago. Worse experience ever. Got sold wrong model and was forced to use a store credit on a couch that is literally falling apart. Three cushions are unraveling more and more each day and I am over my one year warranty so I'm out of luck. Offered to even pay for replacement covers and was told they no longer get parts from that manufacture.
I will never purchase there again. Waste of $2k Update: customer service did reach out but again could not help me at all. Instead offered 100 toward another purchase. thanks but no thanks. I refuse to spend anymore money for furniture that falls apart.
