Earl's Furniture first opened for business in the summer of 1957 as a furniture and appliance retail store, with just under 2,400 square feet of showroom and warehouse space. Owner-operator Earl Chiasson, Sr. started the business with himself as the sole employee. Over the past half century, the store has been expanded several times to its present 18,000 square feet of showroom and 13,000 square feet
