Peter Gutkin Furniture & DSGN A sought after artist and designer, Peter Gutkin continually pursues his fine art/design career. He acquired a huge range of skills including stone and wood carving, metalsmithing, bronze and plaster casting, low and high fire ceramics, fine art, and a strong foundation in art history. In 1990, Gutkin was the sole U.S. representative at the International Furniture Design Fair in Asahikawa, Japan.

The polished and turned black granite base offers elegance and stability. The sculptural Torso pedestal table comes with a hand patinaed bronze top, a solid mahogany body, and either a solid limestone or honed black granite base.

He acquired a wide variety of skills including stone and wood carving, metalsmithing, bronze and plaster casting, low and high fire ceramics, and fine art fundamentals. In 1990, Gutkin was the sole U.S. representative at the International Furniture Design Fair in Asahikawa, Japan. He won the prestigious ROSCO Award for decorative lighting in 1986, and was a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow (www.nea.gov) in 1980 and 1984.

Ordered these JL Moller dining chairs from Rhode Island. The shipper improperly packaged them and caused two of the legs to completely break off Took them to Peter Gutkin who I know does patient and impeccable work. No surprise they turned out great.
