I am just shocked at how good my table and chairs look! They were frankly in terrible shape, and I had pretty low expectations, but there just weren't any new tables I liked, so I felt like refinishing was the best option. Well I was blown away when I saw my shabby old stuff looking not okay, but incredible! I'm SO glad I made the decision to restore the old. I just had no idea what a transformation was possible. Plus, John was responsive, pleasant, and easy to work with all around. I highly recommend Ciarlo Bros!

Repaired and refinished a small table for us before the holidays and it came out great! The result was even better than I expected. Our small table had two parts of the pedestal broken off and the repaired areas are close to invisible. I think I gasped with surprise when I picked it up!

I hired Ciarlo Brothers to refinish my kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors and drawer fronts, which were dated and a bit abused. John provided several options and after I made my selection, they went to the shop for transformation. And wow, when they came back, they looked amazing! John was easy to work with, asked good questions, made good recommendations, and completed the work as promised. High quality refinish and paint work. Definitely recommended.

Once again John has restored 2 pieces beyond their original beauty! The best there is!

This place did an excellent job finishing dozens of doors for a high end project I did. We are hard to please but were very happy with what they did and their price was very fair.

Three times we have used Ciarlo Brothers. Their work is top quality, reasonably priced, and done on time. We could not ask for more and will never go anywhere else when seeking to refinish furniture.

We just received back the walnut tabletop that Ciarlo Brothers refinished and it is even better than new. The finish is perfect and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this refinishing shop! Their work is truly outstanding.

They do very good work - thorough, professional, personal. They will work with you to get a finish right, replace missing hardware, restore old function if possible. I have used them now for 2 pieces - one mid century Dixie piece and another family piece. Would trust them. They also work with your schedule and are adept at communicating information electronically if your schedule prohibits you from viewing/participating in the refinishing/repair process in person.

We needed to refinish a set of six Arne Jacobsen lacquered wood chairs but we were very nervous about getting the job done right. John at Ciarlo Brothers was very helpful; he got us a quick estimate after looking at photos I sent to him and then matched the factory color perfectly ( I got the paint code from Fritz Hansen). The chairs look fantastic now (see photo) and the price was very reasonable!

I have worked with Ciarlo Brothers for over a dozen years on a variety of restoration projects. When I was first starting out in my career and didn't have a lot of money I would find ramshackle antiques with missing pieces at auctions and estate sales, and I always knew I could get them restored to their former glory and in good working order if I brought them to John and his team at Ciarlo Brothers.

Frequently the restorations were more than I paid for the items ($200-600), but that wasn't a surprise, nor was it unfair. It was appropriate as these items were in pieces and nobody was bidding on them because they weren't ever going to be "complete" antiques. They helped me restore two 18th and 19th century armoires that were faded, dry, and couldn't even stand up when I bought them a few years apart.

One needed missing spine pieces, and both needed a shelving system created. They built the zig zag shelf-holders down the interior and then they built custom shelves I could move around on the inside, and stained them perfectly to match, custom carved the missing decorative pieces, then restored the finish to a glorious old "glow". Both units turned out beautifully, and are sturdily, beautifully in use in my home today 12 years later.

Today I had a vintage mahogany piano (circa 1905) brought to them to replace missing trim work and restore the veneers and again their prices were very fair and John's communication is excellent. As my ability to afford nicer things has grown over time, I've brought them expensive contemporary and fancy antique furniture items that need a little help, and the team at Ciarlo Brothers has remained my "go to place" for furniture repair, refinishing and rebuilding (when necessary). I'd take anything to them and know it will be worked on with masterly care and attention to detail. I am glad to have them in my resource list and pass their names along whenever I have the chance.

I've used Ciarlo Brothers for many refinishing jobs over the last 7-8 years. They always do a great job. Most recently, they stripped & refinishing a Edwardian fireplace mantle. The fireplace was covered with 100 years of paint, they stripped & refinished it beautifully. John is easy to work with. I will use them again for my next job

I broke my table leg last week eating dinner with friends, ok let me tell you the true. we played poker after dinner and had few more drinks. I do love my table since I own it from College years (many years ago.). I find Ciarlo on yelp, even so this business has only one review I call then but it was hard to reach then which is ok since I live in the area I drove by and meet the manager / owner John- he was very nice and gave me estimate, maybe on the high side but it was ok since I wanted my table to be 100 percent fixed.

I the job took one week which is fine with me, and the table was fixed, looks like new! very happy with the results. By the way, when you visit them the shop look like a carpenters, wood and machine all over the place.

I had a white lacquer vintage dining table refinished by Ciarlo Brothers and they did a beautiful job. My table was in pretty bad shape and it came back to me looking even better than I expected. The finish was perfect. Their price is very reasonable but delivery is additional. They will recommend someone or you can coordinate with a 3rd party.
