Salesman would not even provide me a price when asked about EP Henry in stock. When I asked him about pricing for a 6' x 12' retaining wall, He told me he could not provide it unless I had an engineering study done, and a certified contractor lined up. When I asked him if he was refusing to give me any more information unless I had certified drawings he said yes. I was simply pricing things out.

If you're looking for rock, gravel, or outdoor flooring or wall type material this is your spot. I visited recently on my search for raw materials to duplicate a stacked stone landscaping wall. I have a contractor on standby, willing to do the work if I supply the materials. I've been carrying around one of the stones to match up but am finding most stone yards have business hours the same as I work. Fortunately I was able to get to Penn Stone since they're located in Lancaster City by the Clipper Stadium before closing with some time to browse.
I went inside their office to inquire on how this works. A nice gentleman took my name and wrote it on a long piece of yellow tape. This is how you "tag" your materials, similar to how you would a Christmas tree. He lead me straight to the area I needed to be after looking at my sample stone. I was able to find a pretty close match within 5 minutes. Here's when things got tripped up.
A skid is $290 and included delivery, however they don't deliver that small of quantity. So you have to tag, pay, and wait until they get a big order in your area (not even a bunch of small orders) for it to be delivered. While he said they are in my area "often", with a contractor on standby there was just too many variables to commit. I even offered to pay extra for delivery with a firm day, which they said they can't do.
The stone yard is only 5 miles away. I wish they had more delivery options available. I did find their prices inline with other local stone supplies I've researched online. Who knows, if I am able to work something out with my contractor I may be back to place the order, however do feel that's a pretty crappy policy for delivery. Also worth noting, while the office closes at 5, the stone yard is only available till 4:30 - it's dirty, uneven, and dusty, although organized well if you know what you're looking for.
Be mindful of what shoes you wear. I came straight from the office so my sandals were filthy when I left. Parking was also confusing - I had no idea where I should park so I parked in the stone yard itself. If coming from the east, be careful as there's a blind corner you need to cross to access their property and cars were flying thru. There's a nice "sample" outdoor space highlighting some of the products available that's beautiful and could be a source of inspiration or a relaxing spot to decide on how to proceed.

Embarking on a front landscaping renovation project, our planner recommended Penn Stone and Joyce Burkholder for input on porch furniture. We knocked it out of the park! There is an amazing selection of items in a variety of price points. We picked great items that make my project pop! Excellent customer service, brainstorming and inventory!

They had a good selection of natural stone. Bought 2 skids. The staff were knowledgeable about the products, which can be hard to find in this eta of big box stores. Delivery was included in the reasonable price, and they brought it right up to the top of my fairly steep driveway. A+ Penn Stone. Glad I found them.

We started working with Penn Stone in 2017 through a 3rd party hardscape contractor which Penn Stone recommended. We had all of his work completed by November 2017 and were incredibly pleased with the product and the installation. In the spring of 2018 we ordered a large amount of outdoor furniture and to date have taken delivery on about a fourth of it.
We are so happy with the Lloyd Flanders seating and cannot wait for the balance of our orders. We are working with Kristen and she is so good in guiding us to the right products and colors. We are loving our outdoor cozy backyard.\

We purchased several items at Penn Stone and were delighted with the level of customer care, product knowledge and quality. We especially LOVE our outdoor table-top fireplace - a great suggestion from the designer. And right down to the end, when they help you load up the car with all your new stuff, you will be delighted with all that they offer and do. Thanks again gang - we will not hesitate to be repeat customers!

This review is for the Outdoor Living/Furniture portion of Penn Stone- Each year, I select furniture for our company's home show displays and the staff there are always super helpful and very willing to go the extra mile to make sure that all of the fine details are met. They are friendly, very detailed and dependable. Most people would probably say that the furniture products are higher, but you get what you pay for and I do believe they offer the best quality products out there! Try them out!

Penn Stone is always inspirational. From the home store to stones the products are wonderful. My most recent purchase was a very large mirror. I had been looking for a one that would function in the space and be a piece of art. This mirror is beautiful in terms of materials and design. Additionally, I have always enjoyed looking and selecting stones for outdoor use and ornament. For high quality, unique, and aesthetically beautiful products Penn Stone is consistent. And I am grateful.
