My favorite store since I moved here, the selection is impressive and the clothes and household items are low priced and well worth the value I continue to get out of them. Been here many times over the last 3 years and it's my #1 supplier for quality clothing.

I travel here often and used to come to this thrift store often since it is the best one in Norfolk. I am/was SOOO looking forward to coming in with my daughter, but if there is masking enforced, I will not come in. As red in a previous review, masking is completely ineffective. I work in a public school setting in another county, and when we were wearing masks at the height of the epidemic, students were getting it left and right regardless of how much we cleaned in between classes.

Unless everyone is wearing an n95 and carrying hand sanitizer, there's no point in wearing a mask. Plus I'm fully vaccinated. If I decide to wear a mask, it's my choice. But I will not put myself in a situation to be discriminated against because of my beliefs. If you are not enforcing it at this time, then I apologize, and give this the full amount of stars that TSC deserves which are five.

Most rugs (oriental rugs/ etc) may be infested with moths as evidenced by numerous moth casings and moth damage to rug(s). Please have rugs professionally cleaned after purchase to avoid an infestation in your home. The rugs I purchased from this Thrift Store were infested:there was evidence of moth damage/ moth casings found ( as pointed out by professional cleaner).

The rugs were lovely and a great buy however, costs of professional cleaning / moth proof/ killing of insects cost $100 plus. I welcome any response from the store manager regarding this concern.

They regularly have sales, for example all clothes 1/2 off to make room for new inventory. The staff changes frequently, but they're always pretty kind. A bit unorganized depending on the time and day, but always some good finds from brick brick to clothing to books.

Incredibly large second-hand/thrift store. It has a big parking lot and a few HC spaces, but not near the main entrance. It can be very crowed inside with narrow aisles. It's a great place to browse on a rainy day or to just kill time walking through rows and rows of men and women's clothing, large pieces of furniture, records, books, glassware, jewelry, kitchen ware, shoes, ties, belts, and children's toys and stuffed animals.

**Clothing review, did not look at other areas** I just moved to the area and I wanted to check out some of the local thrift stores. Thrift Store USA was 1 of 3 I went to and it was probably the best one. The staff seemed to get along with each other and friendly with the customers. I was happy to see a large selection of Plus Size clothing and found many cute pieces in the section but left them for others since I'm not plus.

I really appreciated how organized the clothing racks were. All color coordinated and by size. It helps me feel less overwhelmed because I skip sections that aren't my size or a color I wear. I usually thrift in Southern CA so I felt that the prices were just right and affordable. I found a few pieces here and excited to go back and see what else I can find.

Normally love this store for its good prices, array of items, and cleanliness but apparently they train their staff to read tags properly by putting mislabeled tags out and if you try to buy something with it they tell you they can't sell it. This has happened twice and it's a really good way to upset customers. We wanted to buy a handkerchief that had it's price marked twice on it and even offered to buy it for the full original price and they told us they couldn't sell it to us and it would have to go back into rotation.

We were coming here weekly but with this I don't know if we will anymore. If this is resolved I'll redo the review but that's been two visits that have ended in disappointment.

This was my first time checking out this thrift store, and I wasn't particularly impressed with their selection of men's shirts (the only things I really paid attention to), especially short sleeve button down ones, which were sparse compared to the long sleeve shirts they had. The shirts that were there were organized by color, which was good, but I'd rather they had organized them by size, especially because it was difficult to even find the size on many of them. However, the prices in general were better than those of my preferred thrift store (up the street), so I will return here from time to time.

Rude staff. God forbid you're still shopping 30 minutes till closing time. They literally walk around the store and tell you to get in line to leave. And if you're not in line they get on the overcom speaker and tell you to leave with the line wrapping around the isles. Over priced too.

Friendly and helpful folks. Prices are reasonable although some items that are highly desired can be pricey. Be patient as the staff actively adjusts prices. I have purchased appliances, furniture, some clothing and I am so pleased with the price and the store backing up a limited time to return a stackable washer/dryer if the unit had issues. The only issue I would say is it is difficult to donate excess household items.

I love this place, but you guys need to use a different labeling system. The stickers are next to impossible to get off, and when I finally do get them off, I've damaged a really nice item. I noticed other reviews with the same issue. The adhesive is like super glue. Other than that, the prices are good and the employees are very nice and relaxed. 5 stars when labels get fixed.

One of my favorites in the area! Always clean, large selection, fair prices and organized well too! It's a HUGE place. They have seasonal stuff too. Holidays, summer, winter etc.

This is one of the better thrift stores in the area. Great clothese, records, and furniture is available. Plus the employees are awesome, friendly and helpful. Never had a negative experience here.

When my 15 year old was with a responsible parent donating items, Charlie, a manager or assistant manager bullied and badgered my son. Showing his lack of managerial skills and bias, instead of approaching the adult to ask questions and discuss situation, Charlie was immediately rude, inept and unable to think creatively to receive donations and he yelled at a 15 year old.

This should never have happened by a manager or decent person. The 15 year old explained situation to me soon afterwards and I called to file complaint. Charlie's response on the phone was unsatisfactory and out of touch. He never apologized for his lack of tact toward a kid nor did he take responsibility or try to make things right. His disgusting display of manners (or lack of manners) should not be tolerated.

I admit that I have been to Thrift Store USA in Norfolk Virginia multiple times, one reason I feel comfortable/fine with admitting is because of the quality selection and bargain prices of the clothes and books available. My most recent visit I bought a couple pairs of jeans and t shirts (two men's size medium t shirts). The cashier scanning my items was pleasant to talk to and interact with. This place also allows for donation items if you ever have a preference for donating any clothes.

I have been going to Thrift Store USA for quite a few years. It is my first go to Thrift Store when I'm out thrift store shopping. I have purchased clothing, furniture, kitchen items, and much more. The selection is outstanding! The staff is helpful and during the covid restrictions I saw many things in place that made me assured that they are doing everything they can to make the shopping experience comfortable and safe. Do yourself a favor and pop on in there. I don't think you'll be too disappointed.

Really really nice store. It's huge inside! I caught a 50% off all clothing sale on a Sunday and found some nice vintage pieces. Was a bit too crowded for my tastes and the customers were being aggressive but I will definitely return in the future as I didn't get to check out the entire store and what else it had to offer.

You need to visit Thrift Shop USA! This store is HUGE, with a little something for everyone. Treasures around every corner and in every nook and cranny. You think you're done looking and then a whole new room opens up for you. My friend and I visited this shop on a whim, as neither of us had been here before. PS. Don't trust the Google store hours.

We waited until noon since that's what Google told us, but we overheard a cashier telling another customer they're open 9am-7pm. Also, take note of their discount days! We loved this store; They have furniture, dishes, records, books, clothing, knick-knacks, decor, shoes, art, rugs, tapestries, mattresses, and more. My friend found a super cute picnic basket that everyone kept commenting on, I found a nice wooden sewing box, and both of us found some clothes and almost walked out with furniture too. *Note that we couldn't find any fitting rooms, so wear clothes you can try things over, or take a gamble. Luckily our purchases fit, as they don't do returns or exchanges.* Not sure if he was the owner or manager but a nice gentlemen in a cowboy hat offered to help us with any furniture negotiating or purchasing. We plan on being back soon!

My experience shopping at this store is that the jewelry cashier constantly makes mistakes when ring up my purchases.charging for more items than I have or missing the requested discount. At least on 3 separate occasions she has made errors on my purchases.

The selection is quite large but very average if not below average. It looked like it had been picked through and not replenished in a while. Weird observation: there were actually some nice golf polos but that was about it in the guys sections. My wife didn't find anything she liked in the women's sections either. They do carry mattresses which is a nice touch I suppose.

The selection of music on cd and records was impressive, however I didn't flip through too much of it to see the quality of the artists or records. The movie selection wasn't huge but I did find a handful of movies to add to my collection, which salvaged the trip from being pointless. Not as many knick knacks as some other thrift stores. Overall I can't really recommend unless you're looking for music, movies, or outdoor clothes.

I adore Thrift Store hunting. So, when I began to look for a Thrift Store here in Virginia, I came straight to my fellow Yelpers for some great Advice as to what Thrift Store I should visit. My Family and I came to Thrift Store USA and was floored at how BIG and how much items they had for sale. The store was very neat. Each section was separated by itself and it was easy to shop around.

I really like Antique items and had found a beautiful High Chair/Chair and Table Combo at a reasonable price. When I showed it to my Daughter, she instantly adored it. I have to say that the prices are Great! I'm sure that I would have purchased so much more if I lived here. You should bring one of these stores to Hawaii! Mahalo for a great visit! My Daughter will be shopping there more often now!

Honestly the store is super huge and i love the vintage section but it's so hard to shop there because of the horrible staff attitudes. The employees are rude from the fitting room to the cash register i was disappointed. Even more disappointed reading the business owners replies to other people with negative experiences. Train your staff in basic customer service and take responsibility.

This store is always on the top of my list when I come to Tidewater. I travel from Maryland to visit family. I have found great bargains. The staff is always plesant and the owner is willing to help with any of your concerns. I enjoy shopping at this store.

You are lying. I have 1st hand testimony, for how this situation was handled. Manager banging on door, telling me continuously to come out. Unprofessional. I already notified you to stop making any type of contact, to include social media posts etc., with me. Continued correspondence will result in legal action. Last warning. Your store manager creeps me out, and I will not in any profitable manner provide any means to your business.

If other want to continue shopping at your establishment I can't stop them. But, just like me, I enjoyed shopping at your store for over 3 years. Then this horrible experience happened to me and my family. I imagine other will eventually have a similar disappointing experience at your store and they will post about it too. I will not delete these posts, as this is the experience I personally had at your store. DO NOT make any further contact with me unless it is in the terms of an apology.

For example: "I'm sorry that that was the type of experience you had at our store. I can assure you, that is not how we meant for your experience to be perceived. We value you as a customer and we would like to make sure your shopping experience is a pleasant one." But, maybe that's the Business Manager in me speaking.

From the outside, this store looks like a cute little shop but once inside, you will definitely be blown away. Did not expect it to be this huge in here! This store is huge, but thankfully also well organized. There's a pretty good amount of anything you're looking for from books, clothing, shoes, jewelry, even mattresses! We didn't see any specific signs aside from military discount on Wednesday and senior citizen discount on Thursday (I think), but it was BOGO on T-shirts which was seen on the store sign outside.

The employees were very nice and helpful. There's a lot, so it can almost be overwhelming but this is a definite spot to walk out with at least one good thing with. Furniture wasn't really in my price range, but majority of it was in great condition. An extra plus are the bathrooms and fitting rooms (3).

This is a very nice thrift store. Have been in here very many times over the years. Always have a wide variety of items Furniture mattresses clothes household goods records vintage I mean you'd be surprised of the array of items they have here. Just like any thrift store sometimes the pricing can be a little iffy. But have been in there many times me and my wife. Keep up the good work for thumbs up

Pretty decent thrift store! It's very big and they don't waste any space. They definitely fill everything up and make sure it stays filled. Love the book area, pretty good selection with records in there. There is some furniture in the back corner as well as interior decor and dishes lines through the walls. Clean for a thrift store and organized. Restrooms are clean too and don't smell bad.
