Our experience at Sofa Creations was great. My husband and I visited Sofa Creations to purchase a sofa for our son who had just moved to a new condominium. Michael was very generous with his time and knowledge, and we are confident we selected the right product for the application.

They have a wonderful selection of affordably priced furniture that offers custom designs made for any style, from traditional to cottage to contemporary.

Wow, I cannot recommend Sofa Creations enough - there are so many options and ways to customize. Mike (showroom manager) was fantastic; he helped me find exactly what I was looking for and it met all of my criteria: kid-friendly, unique size a within a specific budget range. Mike has decades of experience and it shows - he used to work for Leo Burke in Carytown. Two thumbs up!

I was recommended to Sofa Creations by our designer and had a wonderful buying experience. We worked with Mike who was kind, helpful, and patient. His knowledge and experience in the furniture business was much appreciated. We will be back for future purchases!

I highly recommend buying furniture from here! We bought a sectional sofa last August and we love it! It did take a couple of months to get our custom sofa, but it is definitely worth the wait. We absolutely love this couch! And it's made in the USA. There are many styles, designs, and fabrics to chose from. They even let me bring in a giant rug to help color match.

They have a great team to help you find what you're looking for. These people know their stuff! I cannot recommend this place enough. We had a great experience here and will definitely be back again.

My wife and I went in just over a week ago after having a not great experience at a chain furniture store. We left with a new sofa purchased by the end of our visit. Mike, who helped us in the store was very polite and transparent about turnaround times for any stock or build-to-order items. He also showed us several floor samples that they had because of the lead-times on orders due to Covid.

We found a floor sample in very good condition. Had it paid for and delivered to us within a week. Also, the delivery company the use were very good about communicating their delivery schedule and any changes that were needed about the delivery windows. Next time we're ready to order more furniture for the house, I'll be stopping by Sofa Creations first!

Can't say enough good things about the service here. Mamie and her employee were great to work with and the quality of our sleep sofa is outstanding.

Had a great experience and Sofa Creations. Both Mike and Mamie were great to work with. There was no pressure to buy and seemed to be a genuine interest in helping us find a couch that worked for us. Ended up buying a floor model and so far are very happy with the couch and price. Employees were also following COVID guidelines and wearing masks at all times. This was not our experience at other stores. Highly recommend visiting if you're interested in purchasing new furniture.

We bought a sofa and chair over 16 years ago when my second child was an infant and oldest a toddler. We still have these pieces and are looking to get another sofa or 2. These pieces were our only seating due to a small house. They have gone through, and still going through, two kids and 2 large dogs. We love the washable covers and the cushions have kept their shape for the most part. Definitely recommend. Only down fall is we had to replace covers after a couple of years. We chose wrong fabric and color for little kids. That is on us.

Absolutely the best place for creating your own look for your home. The employee and owner were so very helpful and I am ordering what I truly want after looking at all the big box stores. Yes, I could have chosen pretty close to the same thing, however, I chose local business and am very happy I did.

Richmond's best kept secret for furniture. Mike helped my wife and I after we had been to 5 other furniture stores looking for the perfect sofa. The price and service of Sofa Creations blew away the competition. They have a huge selection of fabrics and give you the ability to create a custom sofa. Within 6 weeks our sofa was delivery and we are loving it.

Soooooo disappointed! Black stain discovered at delivery --- WORSE YET was the way the fabric was not pulled tight and bunched up on one of the arms -- the other arm was smooth. Whats worse is the owner called me and had the nerve to tell me that I was being too picky. She also said to me that I chose a low budget piece -- an extra small chaise for $1400 is not all that cheap by the way and that insinuated the I was expecting too much for that kind of money WOW REALLY?!

I own lazyboy (perfect!) and also have a beautiful sofa from Havertys I bought for 1100.00 and its perfect. I was refunded back my deposit and cancelled the order. I will go back to lazyboy

We drove all over looking for a quality couch with a few basic requirements (cushion covers have to come off to wash, need a chaise, would like an ottoman). We literally could not find this simple option anywhere.until we found Sofa Creations. Friendly staff, super helpful with options (so many pattern and pillow options!), straightforward delivery of our very custom couch. If you want a well built piece of furniture (that will actually last) from a friendly, small business owner, this is the place!

The staff at Sofa Creations are friendly and extremely helpful in assisting us in selecting the furniture and fabric that met our needs. My husband and discovered sofa creations several years ago. Since then it is our go to furniture store. The service, delivery, saleladies go out of their way to make us satisfied and happy. All of my furniture was custom and it was received in a timely manner. I've purchased a lot there and highly recommend giving them a try before you purchase anywhere else.

I love this store. I bought a four seasons sofa almost 15 years ago and over the years, bought 3 new slipcovers for it. Each experience was great, loved the fabric selection, assistance, etc. But, my most recent experience was, hands down, the best customer service I have ever received in my life. I had an issue with my last slipcover and after a quick phone call to the store, the owner came to my house where I showed her the issue with the fabric, and she promptly ordered replacement fabric for me. A week or so later, her assistant brought me the replacement fabric and personally put it on my sofa! I will be a customer for life. This store is a great asset to Richmond.

Our experience at Sofa Creations was fantastic. The selection is great and had just what we were looking for. We enjoyed working with the team including the designer and sales staff - they had a great design sense and made recommendations that were right on for what we wanted. They have so many different fabrics and options to choose from, including a stain resistant fabric line that is perfect for a house with kids and pets. We have not gotten our furniture yet but the quality seemed excellent!

Sofa Creations provides great customer service! About 8 years ago, we purchased a slipcover sofa and chairs. They are so comfortable, that we changed which room we lived in. Recently though, I noticed that the back of the sofa was bowing back. I decided to call Sofa Creations for a furniture repair recommendation. To my surprise, Mamie asked if she could look at the sofa.

Upon inspection, she told us that the sofa frame would be replaced under warranty. Within a few weeks we had a replacement frame delivered and could not be happier. Customer service like this is hard to find, but why we will use Sofa Creations for our next purchase.

I would definitely recommend Sofa Creations. Mamie and her staff were so accommodating. She worked with us till we found the perfect sectional. I will be returning in the spring to purchase a slip cover sofa for our beach house. They can deliver to the Outer Banks!

Great experience. Found exactly what we were looking forward. The quality of the furniture was apparent and the pricing was not insulting. We had shopped around. There were so many fabrics to select from. We got wonderful design help from the owner who is an interior decorator. Not a huge store. Not a vast selection. But the service is attentive without being pushy, and the products are made to order with literally hundreds of fabrics to choose from. They also have a few fabric headboards that caught my eye. Not sure if I'll end up getting something from here, but I'll definitely keep this store in mind. Tip: they have a good Yelp coupon when you check in!

My husband & I visit Sofa Creations each time we are in Richmond. We love their products. We have had a slipcovered sectional sofa for 6 years and it still looks brand new. The slipcovers wash so beautifully that we purchased another sofa for a beach home this summer. We were thrilled with the sofa as well as the delivery company. They were prompt and set the sectional up professionally.

We bought a Paula Dean flip top console table for our beach condo. It converts into a table that can seat 6 easily. We also have an upholstered sofa in our living room that I love also bought at Sofa Creations. I have a large family, so it gets quite a workout! Several lamps and pieces of artwork grace our home from Sofa Creations. Mamie, the owner, and Jonathan, the manager have refined taste that I love.

In addition to the aesthetic qualities of their furniture, they are high-end and extremely functional. The Sofa Creations showroom always has something new that thrills and excites me with each visit!

I spent $8,000+ with Mamie, part of large order that included a table and six chairs. Table and six chairs assembled with bolts by her technicians, bolts were so loose could hand tighten them. Furniture was not assembled properly upon delivery when delivered May 2015.
Did not realize this until a few months after delivery as the furniture was not used frequently.

As soon as we realized it we asked Mamie, the owner, to send someone out to remedy problem. She refused to do so, only suggesting that a technician would cost $40-$50 per hour at our own expense. She was also very rude on the phone. When she called me this morning I had not slept in 36 hours as a family member is critical in the hospital, so I handed the phone to my mother and brother to speak with her.

She proceeded to ask them my age - stating that wasn't I an adult and that at 35 years old I should be able to handle my own business. She further went on to ask my family members if she could expect any further calls from other family members on this issue. She was adamant that since we did not call right away it was not her problem to fix. I was not aware that there was a time limitation on standing behind your services, especially when the cause of the problem was due to an employee retained by Mamie.

Simply asked her to correct a problem that was present upon delivery and caused by her technicians, she refused to do so. Not asking for money back, just to remedy a problem. There are numerous other businesses that will gladly stand behind their products and services while valuing your business, something Sofa Creations has not done for us.

No leather selection whatsoever, but if you're looking for customization with fabric, this may be down your alley. Pricey, but quality seemed good. Very poor customer service that drove us out - no way we would be back

Two weekends ago we were on the hunt for a new addition to our living room, and after some totally lackluster shop experiences, Sofa Creations was the saving grace! The moment we entered the showroom, we knew we wanted to purchase our couch here. The owner was the person working, which immediately made us more inclined to spend our dollars at this shop, and the atmosphere itself was very inviting.

The showroom is bright and clean, and feels very high end but without the untouchable price tag. The majority of furniture seemed to be in the mid-range - not the cheapest you'll find, but certainly not crazy expensive. And you can tell you're paying for quality. We had considered snagging something from Ikea, but in the end we decided to pay more for something that will last much, much longer.

The space is on the smaller side, but it still boasted a solid variety of pieces. After visiting a few of the warehouse-feeling stores, this manageable space was quite the breath of fresh air. I think most of the clientele chooses to customize their sofas, and that's really what Sofa Creations is known for. You can pick out your piece of furniture and then choose from a crazy extensive variety of fabrics to make it 100% yours.

The owner told us it typically takes 9 weeks for the ordered sofas to come in. Well, we're kinda last minute, and needed a sofa immediately, so we were relieved when she told us they also sell floor models. Phew. We didn't need a customized couch, we just needed a quality sofa right away. We found a beautiful pale blue beauty that has made itself at home in our living room.

Another plus is that we were able to choose two throw pillows to go with the couch! I'm a huge fan of pillows, so this was pretty darn exciting. If you're looking for a more personal experience and a quality sofa, definitely check out this option on Broad Street.
