Consignments

Pretty rude via phone. I haven't consigned before and we're moving. I was wondering if they would be interested in some stuff we have. They're next available appointment was 4 months away. No big deal, maybe that's how things work. I asked if they knew of any other places that might be available to take things or that I could call and was told to "just donate it". I've never been inside the store so I can't speak to that but being rude to someone via phone as standard practice is not somewhere I would take my business.

I was very surprised about how rudely I was treated as I was making a purchase. The store was closing and I was going to the register to pay and I was told to hurry and wrap it up. I'm appalled that someone would speak to a customer who was in the middle of paying for an item. I should have left the item, but it would have been rude to do that as the cashier was ringing me up. I guess I just won't shop there anymore.

We are so happy market basket has come to Rhode Island! We previously lived in Massachusetts near Market Basket and upon retiring to Rhode Island we no longer had a Market Basket. Now that they have located in Warwick we travel all the way up from South Kingstown when we can because it's worth the trip. The prices are very fair, the store is clean, well organized and brightly lit.

The pastry department is superb, well that alone it is worth the trek. They make the other supermarkets look second rate. We would highly recommend it to all Rhode Islanders. We also hope they will locate another store further south near Wakefield so that we could do all our shopping at market basket 100% of the time.

Great store! First, I love that they followed all covid protocols. This store is a treasure trove, you just don't know what you will find. I have both consigned and purchased items. They are fair with prices on both sides and certainly do their due diligence with research. Pop in when you can, poke around and see what treasures await you!

AWFUL attitude.like they are doing me a favor. I have a whole house that I am donating - mostly NEW items. the owner sends me to her RELATIVE to move the items and the day before he cancels! I asked for a week later and he said it was TOO much for him! I'm glad we can get these beautiful items, mostly furniture to a charity where they truly will appreciate the items!

I masked up and decided to stop in for a quick run through. This place is pretty incredible. Vintage treasures, neatly organized, displayed carefully and with thought behind it. Everything has its place and it appears that each booth owner takes pride in their space as well as the products they sell. They have a bunch of vintage glassware, tons of furniture, wall art and nic-nacs.

I didn't end up buying anything, but I enjoyed browsing and looking at all the vintage finds. I am sure it is hit or miss so I will go back, as I enjoy looking at things, just as much as I like buying them.

This is my FAVORITE store in Wakefield, RI! The merchandise is constantly changing, prices are sooooo reasonable, but best of all. the customer service is OUTSTANDING! The owner, the people that work there are absolutely lovely! Friendly, helpful, & make you feel welcome!

General consignment store with good choice of furniture and decorative items. Selective, so no junk. Good turnover so always worth popping back in for a look. Friendly and welcoming.

Went to Consignment Ltd! I ended up purchasing a table, rug and cabinet hardware. I purchased a rug with a white background that was on the floor in an aisle and was walked on a lot by the shoppers. If I bought it, it had to be cleaned professionally. I asked a worker about it and it had one more markdown. To convince me to buy it she said you can have it for the last markdown price.

I decided to buy it knowing the extra money I saved would go towards the cleaning. She proceeded to tell the cashier the price. When I got home I noticed I got overcharged I proceeded to call them(twice within the week)so they could make an adjustment. No one ever called me back! I won't be going back! Buyer beware!

Went there the other day and was surprised that for a place that size, they had nothing that interested me. I'm an avid consignment/thrift shopper. I found that they are also a bit pricey for stuff that's really outdated. Won't go again.

This store has a poor policy about receiving goods to sell. Store never verbally told me that when an item sells, a check is issued. It is not mailed to consignor. They do not notify by phone or email when item sells. If customer wants check mailed, customer must provide a self addressed stamped envelope. I was never told of this verbally. One of my items sold more than six months ago.

Since I did not physically enter store to get proceeds( didn't know it was sold) the check was void and shop retained proceeds. The other piece of furniture, I was told, didn't sell within 90 days. Since I wasn't notified the furniture became store 's ownership. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE This store doesn't even deserve one star!

Bought a broken and misadvertised necklace here, tried to return 1 week later and wouldn't accept it. I have consigned here several times. On top of the fact there prices are very high. Very disappointed and will no ok get shop here.

CONSIGNORS BEWARE! If the staff had ever been mildly polite I would not be writing this review, consignors beware! After consigning some high-end furniture pieces with this store, I received only one check, according to their policy you can drop off a stamped and addressed envelope to yourself for checks to be sent to you when you can't come in on the date checks are issued, I did this back in October and never was a check sent to me. Went into the store today and was told, rudely, that I would not be given any money because Rhode Island state laws Say that checks expire after six months; so my check was never sent to me in the mail and they "couldn't" honor any sales.

This was a beyond disappointing experience, especially as a person who has worked in the consignment industry (never have I worked for a company that wouldn't honor a consignors' sales) or follow through with paying their consignors.

What a mistake we made consigning to this place. In the end you get almost nothing and when you take things back they don't give you the time of day. I wouldn't trust them ever again.

I went into this store hoping to find some small antiques for my business. Two things that are shocking- the overall quality of the merchandise is quite low, parts of the store look like a salvation army store on a bad day. I found some items completely misidentified. Worse, I was not greeted when I came into the store, instead I was ignored and had to ask for help with items in a case- I had to ASK for help, with a store employee only 3 feet away, trying to ignore me.

I could not get a smile out of these people, I found them dour and sour. I only purchase things from people who can at least PRETEND to be polite to customers. I will not shop in this store again. I buy antiques every week, it is a shame that these people do not value every person who choses to visit the store. Not friendly at all. Rudeness. By the time I left the store, I was feeling a little rude myself. They should hire some nice people to work the front, and keep the grumpies out back somewhere.

Love this place! It is a relaxing browse. The women that work there are very friendly and nice. I have made may purchases. You never know what you will find so I try to go often. You can always find something!

Very nice selection of merchandise and fair prices, but a very unfriendly and aloof staff/management. On two occasions I inquired about consigning goods and was treated with distain. Upon making purchases, I've been treated like they were doing me a favor. Such behavior is hard to take in an era of enhanced customer service. The owner/manager needs to read 'How to win friends and influence people' by Dale Carnegie. I am a town resident and do my best to support local businesses, but the business has to treat me with respect and courtesy.

Pretty cool place to poke around. They mostly have furniture but there have some knick knacks for the house too. Nothing too high end but definitely nothing junky. Prices are reasonable. Consignments Ltd has an easy lay out & is quite large. If you're on a budget & are looking for some unique pieces for your home I'd recommend them.
