ALLEN BURGESS-Store Manager 12/21/21:Bought a sectional from Allen because Brandon was expecting and on leave. He promised a discount after we paid for 1/2 of the sectional upfront as he said, "I just need to put in the order, get it approved, then I can discount you later." He said, he would give us the best deal published between now and the final payment.
I text Allen 808-218-2643 three times, even once to buy a "Tempur Pedic" bed and even went into the store to talk about final payments and projected delivery date. Allen had a lot of excuses, I was on vacation, I was not working, we are understaffed, I am not authorized to sale you beds. Then, help me find someone who can sale me a bed? 6/9/22: So I decided to called the store directly instead and they said your sectional is here.
When I finally talked to Allen, as he needed the final payment he said, I can give you a discount after they deliver your sectional. Of course when I call no answer, when I text's, Allen says, "I'll be back to work tomorrow, "(see picture) but he never called.

Purchased two sofas, a love seat and an ottoman today. Our sales representative Andrea was very knowledgeable both about the products themselves and about what items were in stock, how many of each were currently in transit, and what the wait times would likely be if we preferred to special order. She was also very warm and personable. Ordering a complete living room set is a pain in the pocketbook for sure, but at least the process of ordering it was painless. Thanks, Andrea!

Was looking for new theater chairs. Jeremy Young helped me with the selection. Had to visit the store a couple of times for the right chair and options. Each time Jeremy was pleasant and patient. Made the decision and awaiting delivery. Hopefully the experience will continue once I get items. This is an updated rating poor salesman experience with after sale issue had to follow up still following up.

We went to Ashley Furnitures in S. Beretania for our second purchased. Wide range of selections and Andrea L., the home furnishing consultant did great on narrowing down on what we need. She was pleasant to deal with and very natural on how she engaged with her client. We loved our new dining set. No hassle on the delivery part, they have delivery company that do that just pay for the fee. Satisfied customer here and thank you to your valuable staff and great service!

My husband placed an online order and they don't even have the items in stocked. We been emailing all morning trying to get something else. They been giving me the run around and no one has reached out to cancel my order. Honestly extremely unsatisfied with our online order. Never buying off this place. I'd stay away from ordering online. Big RED flags.

Back in 2016 I ordered a sofa and the sales person told me that if I purchase the extended warranty I could get a full refund of it after all 5 years were done. Since there was no risk I bought into it. After 5 years I came back to get my refund since I didn't use the warranty at all and they told me to come back in a year to receive it. Thought this was weird but assumed that maybe there was a 1-year mfg warranty on the sofa.
Now I'm back a year later and the person at the customer service tells me that I should have come back a year ago because my refund is actually a credit and it expires in a month. I'm extremely dissatisfied with my whole experience post-purchase and from what the sales person explained to me at the time of the purchase.

Wife and I were searching for a sectional. It was our first time shopping for furniture that wasn't from Costco or Wal Mart. We were a little nervous that it was gonna be like shopping for a new car with the salesman all over us, but turned out to be nothing like that. Our salesman was Mauro Y. and he was great! He gave us the space that we needed, but also was available when we had questions.
He made us feel comfortable. We thought we knew what we wanted, bit due to the pretty good selection at this location, we spent a lot of time looking around. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Thankful there were workers to sanitize the furniture frequently. Can't really comment on the price of the sectional we purchased because I'm not sure how it compares against sectionals we could have purchased elsewhere.
My assumption is they do have some deals here and there, but you really come here for the selections. I gave 4 stars only because we had to use a 3rd party delivery service through Homeworld in order to have our sectional delivered sooner. The 3rd party delivery guys did not do a complete job of assembling our sectional. Mahalo again Mauro for providing great service!

Horrible customer service. They tell you to call and schedule your delivery 1-2 weeks in advance, but when you call, they schedule it 1 month away. Then when you call to talk to your salesperson (Susan Shank) they get cocky and sassy and tell you a different story and try to charge you additional charges on top of the delivery charge you've already paid, on top of the $12k we spent in the store!
Then they tell you now it's 3-4 weeks for delivery and when you tell them you were told 1-2 weeks, they say it changed. Hmmm, then they say, "Well, I can't read your mind and it's not my fault!" Wow. just WOW! I want to cancel my entire order and purchase my items from another salesperson, she doesn't deserve one penny from us. She's rude, she is a terrible salesperson who just follows you around the store, and she needs customer service classes!
Save your energy and go to the Kapolei store instead, they're very knowledgeable and friendly. Whenever we need to look for furniture, we will usually start here due to the awesome customer service we've experienced in the past. It was time for us to look for a new rocker/recliner. We were greeted by Derek Miyazaki as soon as we entered. We informed him on what we looking for and the features we wanted. He showed us all the floor models and was very patient with us as we sat on the ones we were interested in.
While we were doing that, he checked what they had in stock and found a "special order" that's supposed to arrive in November or December. Whoever ordered it, changed their mind.we put a deposit on it! No pressure was shown, didn't feel rushed.satisfied with his terrific service!

Went in and wanted to look and figure out what we wanted. It's sad that the salespeople kept smothering us. Found something I liked. But they insisted something else. I didn't understand why does the salesperson consist of showing us something else. And they always are trying to push certain brands. It seems like the salesperson gets more commission on selling certain items.
They need to learn to listen and not give us stories of their life. And i think it was a manager. I work in sales and I know listening and helping the customer is important. You want customers to come back, not regretting from buying. Training needs to be consistent. Bad experience and I don't think I'll come back to that location.

I love coming to HomeWorld whenever we are looking for furniture. It is a one-stop place where you can pretty much find everything you need under one roof. All the sales associates are always friendly and professional and the prices are very reasonable. They have a great selection to fit any budget. We ordered a custom leather sofa and lounge which took a few months to come in and we are very happy and pleased with it. Lots of free parking and very convenient for everyone on Oahu to get to.

Well we finally got our couch picked up for repairs and about one week later we got a call from Home World telling us that the part they ordered that took months to get here is the wrong one. At first I was very upset but then I was told that they were going to give us store credit for what we bought the couch for and that they were sorry. Well my wife and I took a trip to the Kapolei store and a salesman manager named Mike helped us.
He is a very patient person and pretty much followed us around the whole store for about an hour or more and helped us with whatever questions we asked and was very polite. Great job and thank you for some wonderful service.

This review will start with the delivery date of 2/8/2021. After ordering our sofa at the end of November 2020 we were excited to get a call from our sales associate Mauro to let us know that we could finally schedule delivery. The first available date was Friday February 8, 2021. 2 days before the expected delivery date I recieved a call from a young lady confirming my delivery date and letting me know I would receive a call the day before with a 4 hour delivery window.
The call came and we made sure to dispose of our old sofa before hand since removal is NOT a part of the delivery cost I paid of $149. The day of delivery I received a call within the 4hr time frame specified advising they were downstairs. My delivery consisted of a three piece sofa with a large amount of throw pillows and an oversized ottoman. The 2 delivery men brought up the ottoman and throw pillows and left them outside my door.
I received a call shortly after telling me that the sofa was to big to fit in the elevator or carry up the stairs! The elevator I get the stairs, not so much. I live on the fourth floor so it would have been a 3 flight carry up which is what is allowed. They said the sofa would hang over the railing and their boss wouldn't let them do that because they didn't have "liability" coverage.
I was confused because Homeworld is a very large company and I can't believe they wouldn't have liability. I was then told that they were sub contractors for a company called EZ Delivery not employees of HomeWorld. Again, I'm confused why would a large company like Homeworld need to subcontract deliveries and why were they driving a HomeWorld delivery truck?
Maybe with Covid they were back Logged with deliveries and needed the extra help? Then again why would they hire a company with no liability insurance? Isn't it mandatory to have liability insurance to operate? So many questions! I asked one of the guys if I could sign a waiver of liability so they could bring the furniture up. He said no a proceeded to get nasty telling me he had other deliveries and I was giving him a hard time making him late.
He said he could either leave the furniture by the elevator or bring it back to the warehouse for me to schedule another delivery with HomeWorld. Remember, I have been waiting since the end of November and had already got rid of my old sofa. So my only option was to have them leave it. I was lucky enough to find another company, shout out to Strictly Office Installations, that was able to come through and get my furniture up the stairs (which it did NOT hang over the railing) and in my home.
After unwrapping everything, which was also supposed to be a part of the delivery charge, along with set up and rubbish removal, that I now had to do myself, I found damages to one of the sofas and a cushion. I called and reported the issues. A technician came out and about a week later I got an email from customer service rep Kainoa letting me know that they were ordering parts that would take 8 -10 weeks to "repair" my cushion.
In regards to the sofa they "exhausted all resources" and came to the conclusion that we 'possibly' caused the damage since we had the delivery team leave the item by the elevator, and it "voids their policy for any exchange/replacement". At no time did I ask for a replacement/exchange, and at the same time, at no time did they offer a repair.
It baffles me that this company does business this way. To blame the customer for damage because it's possible we caused the damage and not even offer a repair baffles me. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at the place over the course of the past almost 20 years and have never experienced such foolishness. A report was filed with the BBB and I will try to remember to update once there is a resolution. On a side noten my associate Mauro was great. I was also able to get a refund from a manager named Kent for my delivery fee.

This review is for one employee at the Honolulu Homeworld Store and two employees at the Pearlridge Homeworld Store. I had recently lost my mom last year. I had 2 chairs that belonged to my parents for over 40 years reupholstered, which started the whole process of searching for new furniture for an area in my home that had been left empty for over a year. Looking for just the right furniture is time consuming and I haunt every Homeworld furniture store.continually! * John at the Honolulu Store is so personable and friendly.
He is informative and does not pressure or "rush" for you to buy.he listens to what you are looking for and shows the options. He has excellent communications and follow through. He kept me updated with pending orders and deliveries. I had an issue with a damaged item and he had it resolved immediately. * Allen at the Pearlridge Home Store will go out of his way to make sure that you are taken care of.
His behavior, demeanor and actions genuinely show that he wants to make sure that you are happy and satisfied with your purchase. He takes the time to interact with the customers and find out what best suits their needs. I had to make a return, which made me feel awkward, but Allen said "the main thing is that we want you to be happy". I have also observed his positive interaction with the other employees.
He truly cares. * Jane at the Pearlridge Home Store Clearance is "The Energizer Rabbit". She has helped me on numerous occasions to search for the perfect items. Her multi-tasking skills are one of the best I have ever observed. She greets and attends to all the customers who walk in with such enthusiasm as well as directing the stock handlers. Jane will go above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of, even after the sale.
I bought a sectional sofa that has worn fabric cushions. Jane is working hard to get new ones for me. I go to the Clearance Center quite frequently still searching for the last few items. Jane's attitude and work ethics is consistent.

We were looking for some furniture to fill our new home. Since we had used Engel and Volkers as my realtor company, I was offered a discount to shop for furniture here. Actually, it was supposed to be the town location but they still got me my discount here. Susan helped us put and showed us a bunch of couches and my wife changed her mind a few times before finding the one she wanted.
I was happy cause she was happy and the couch was cheaper then the other ones. Then we searched for two beds for my kids. My wife wanted a mainland style bed but was unavailable so we ending up in the clearance area in the back and found two perfect high end mattresses which they gave to use for $300/each which was a deal compared to other places.
I bought two metal bed frames and we were ready to roll. Susan and the clearance sales lady was great and I highly recommend their services. We picked up the beds the next day and our couch came a month later cause COVID messed all the shipments. The delivery and setup was awesome and my kids and wife love the new couch and their new beds. Highly recommend here as they have great selection and very friendly sales staff.

11-7-2020 ordered a sofa and recliner visiting Pearlridge Home World. 1-14-2021 sofa was delivered by Abodehawaii.com. I received a confirmation email from CS Wo informing me of today's delivery date and window of time it would arrive. About 10 minutes prior to 2 p.m. my cell phone rang and I was asked if I would like an earlier delivery. Definitely.
By 2:11 p.m. I went to the sidewalk to wave hello as I had seen the Abode delivery truck pull up in front of our driveway. A two man team arrived. The bigger built man brought in the upholstery kit. I showed him where the new furniture would be going. Yikes, I needed two outlets as the sofa had two power recliners. Luckily the existing recliner purchased roughly 2 years ago was a power lift so it was easy enough to have it moved to another outlet location.
It seemed like by the time the first guy went out to the truck, the second man was carrying the sofa upright by himself- holy macaroni, jaw dropping I remarked You're so strong! The two men lifted the sofa into the front door then through to our extension. The plastic was removed and the two outlets got inserted so that they could check that both recliners were functioning properly.
They did me a favor and placed the furniture pads I bought earlier this morning under the four corners to ease in case I needed to change the location. I can't wait to sit or recline of take a nap on the new addition. If it's as comfy as the showroom I'll be off visiting Mr. Sandman in a snap. The only questions I had were no purchased warranty arrived with the sofa or care kit.
I noticed one little scuffed blackened mark once it was unveiled. The first delivery guy said I should be getting a call in an hour. I hope so. The second delivery guy exited first so I thanked the one remaining one, gave him 2 chilled water bottles and a tin size amount from Cookie Corner. Now we just need to patiently wait to be notified when the next recliner is coming in. Both were supposed to arrive in January. Happy 2021

Furniture shopping saga continues. BUT this store was the winner! Dad and I found the perfect sectional couch with a matching rocker/recliner chair! It was so comfortable, not quite the color we were looking for but after walking around we came back to this one. Also, it's not in stock til who knows when in January.hopefully Cameron calls him soon.
He was nice, pretty chill but not pushy at all. Twas fun being dads interior designer! Once it comes in, I'm ready to find other decorating pieces. I had lost my phone at the couch we eventually bought. Gave it to my son to keep busy watching his Elmo and totally forgot it. Ran downstairs and the guy cleaning found it and gave it to me, thanks!
He was nice, pretty chill but not pushy at all. Twas fun being dads interior designer! Once it comes in, I'm ready to find other decorating pieces. I had lost my phone at the couch we eventually bought. Gave it to my son to keep busy watching his Elmo and totally forgot it. Ran downstairs and the guy cleaning found it and gave it to me, thanks!

Came in to the store looking for some new furniture for our home. Very polite young gentleman named Cameron assisted my wife and I. He was very patient and knowledgeable as he showed us many options for pieces within our style. We really appreciated his help and are looking forward to receiving our couch and table. We will definitely return to see him when we need to purchase more furniture!

I'm redoing one of my guest rooms in the house and furniture shopping on Oahu seems limited to me. I decided to see what the biggest furniture company on the island had to offer so I stopped into HomeWorld on Kamehameha Hwy. The reason who I'm writing this Yelp review is to let the community know that my shopping experience with SUMMER PARTLON, Home Furnishings Consultant is worth mentioning.
Summer was patient, listened to what I had in mind and spent the time walking me around the showroom. I didn't feel any u comfortable pressure from her throughout my visit. I've been to just about every furniture showroom on Oahu and I've made the decision to place an order with Summer because she genuinely is the type of sales consultant I like to work with. I'm placing my deposit on a bed frame that she helped me pick out and I'm certain that I will be happy with it.
So if you're shopping for furniture I would tell you to ask for her because she's the type of employee that makes customers want to work with her. She's earned my business.

This 5-star review is based on one person that works there that we had the pleasure of working with. ALLEN BURGESS Simply, the best customer service experience I have had in a very long time. We went searching for living room furniture right when they opened after COVID. Allen just happened to be the first person that greeted us upon entering the Aiea store. Normally, I have to admit, that sales people tend to irritate me a little when all I want to do is look around.
I don't want someone lurking behind me the entire time. This was NOT the case with Allen. Such a cool, easy-going guy. You could tell right away that he was knowledgeable on the store and products. Once I had questions, he was right there with all the answers. We decided on a couch and thought "wow, that was easy." Well, here is where the amazing customer service came in.
We decided to pick up the huge sectional couch ourselves at their warehouse instead of waiting a few weeks for them to deliver. We picked up all the pieces and home we went. Unfortunately. they gave us some wrong pieces! Ugh. so frustrating. or so we thought. One call to Allen and he said "Just stay home. I personally will go get the correct piece in my truck and swap them out for you at your house". WHAT?
Who does that? Oh my gosh! So amazing. He was true to his word and we had the correct piece within 2 hours. Every text or call to Allen was answered timely and even on his day off! Purchasing furniture for your home is a huge investment. Allen made our entire experience smooth and I will certainly go back to him when we need more items for our home. Thank you!

Decided to checkout HomeWorld Furniture in Aiea after visiting several furniture stores on the island. I had a positive experience there once before and remembered that they offer a wide variety of unique as well as simple yet well made furniture. We recently upgraded our home to include a bigger living area for my daughter and her family and they were in need of a few new furnishings.
As we looked around we met Brandon Tagama and after talking to Brandon we felt he was very knowledgeable about what HomeWorld had to offer and understood what we were looking for. My daughter purchased everything she needed thanks to Brandon and all his patience with dealing with a somewhat new home owner. Brandon explained the importance of their warranties and having peace of mind.
