We ordered a finished( we thought) bookcase 17 June 2020 with a four week delivery. Delivery kept being delayed because of Covid-19. Repeatedly wrote emails and left phone messages after assurances it was in production. Today October 11 we received a kit. That is why four stars. In fairness, the 46"x 30" x 12" kit is superb. Easy to assemble and for $189 it is perhaps the deal of the year.

Their work is gorgeous, and well built. The bookcase was fairly easy to assemble with clear instructions. In addition, their price is excellent considering this is a real pinewood bookcase and not a particle board one like you'd find at ikea. I highly recommend them.

We wanted a solidly constructed bookcase for our 18 month old Grandson yet avoided MDF type material. After searching many sites I then found The Woodland Mills. Their 5/8" solid pine stock quickly sold me as this was exactly the material I wanted! We chose the 24" wide kit with 3 adjustable shelves plus a fixed bottom shelf. Delivery was prompt and assembly was easy.

I was very impressed with the quality of the hardware and the accuracy of the cut components. I chose to finish this piece using an oil penetrating stain. I highly recommend Woodland Mills to anyone needing a piece of furniture where quality is the most important part of your decision.

Beautiful work. If you are looking for quality furniture for your home, this is it. Be prepared to wait for your order, like all small businesses in the US right now, the COVID crisis has taken it's toll. I exchanged several messages with Jerry about the shipping time, he was honest - not rude.

I ordered 2 bookshelves July 1st. I asked for a shipping update July 20th, and Jerry explained that it was too soon to know a ship date, but that the projects were running 4-6 weeks out. August 13th I inquired about a shipping date, as it had been 6 weeks and I still had received no information. Jerry responded "No I really don't have any updates for you" He quoted 4-6 weeks, and was unable to deliver a shipping date by the 6 week mark- or even supply a possible shipping time, I would have been MORE than willing to wait longer, if he could have said 'you will have your order by ___.' He was either unwilling or unable to commit to the work.

I expressed my dissatisfaction and disputed the charge with my credit card company. Several days later he said he'd refund me. I had already handled the situation with my credit card company. 8/21 I get an email from Jerry: "I see that you didn't believe me when I told you that I cancelled and refunded your order in full. You helped yourself to a self-refund by calling your credit company and complaining.

I have ALREADY refund your order. Now your credit card has STOLEN yet another $378.00 from my bank account. Now I have to waste hours of my time playing paperwork games with them to get my money back. This means somebody else won't be getting their bookcases today. And now you wonder why it takes me so long to make a bookcase. I told you I would refund you, and I did that. Jerry" THIS is how he talks to his customers. THIS is how he runs a business. While his work appears beautiful, I wouldn't recommend ANYONE do business with him because of his nasty personality and lack of customer service.

These are really well built, wait the extra time to receive them. In my opinion these are an excellent value for what you receive. Real wood, quality fasteners, and easy to follow assembly. Made in the USA, both of my kids are thrilled with their new bookcases. Thank you Woodland Mills for producing such a quality product.
