Services
All of our solid wood furniture pieces are individually handcrafted original pieces ranging in styles influenced by Shaker, Craftsman, Arts and Crafts, Modern and Traditional. We offer a wide selection of furniture in Cherry, Mahogany and a variety of exotic woods. Each piece starts as carefully selected pieces of hardwood and are made to order so we can create a custom piece of furniture to fit your needs exactly. At Made in Pescadero you can sit with our staff and design your custom piece, selecting wood type and all other aspects.
The decision process when shopping for your bedroom furniture is a much more personal experience than buying furniture for any other space. By offering a variety of styles, material choices and finishes, we can help make your bedroom furniture choice one you will be happy with for a lifetime. We build every bed as a custom piece using your mattress dimensions and desired bed height so you get exactly what you want. Our craftsmen have created many unique beds, nightstands, dressers, armoires and more in the several different styles.
Your dining room is more than just another room in your house - it's the place where you gather with family and friends sharing meals and time together, and should provide a warm and inviting atmosphere where people want to linger. Our dining room furniture is built to be both beautiful and functional.
Our handmade, solid wood living room furniture selection is as diverse as the spaces our clients are trying to furnish. Our showroom features many pieces you can come in and enjoy but our online galleries display a more complete selection of pieces that we have made in the past, most of which we would be happy to make again for you.

We had our bedroom furniture made here last year and absolutely love it. Amazing quality that will last a lifetime and just beautiful to look at. Work as completed as expected for custom work and the staff was excellent. Thank you!

Beautiful hand made furnishings! Worked with us to imagine what we wanted and built to spec. We love our new cookbook book shelf. Highly recommend!

If you think you've seen Pescadero because you've been to Duarte's or bought fresh warm bread at the market or even seen the goats and think you've done it all, you haven't, because perhaps you've missed the best stop on the block. You may have bypassed it thinking it was just a furniture store or just a trinket store or maybe just a souvenir shop. Wrong. Wrong. Wrong!

This spot is a truly unique and absolutely lovely treasure trove of fabulously crafted and artistic furniture and furnishings, simply gorgeous jewelry and creations, candles that will dazzle and other one-of-a-kind decor. And presented in a down-home, warm and welcoming atmosphere. See? So maybe you haven't done Pescadero yet

We just purchased a chair from Ken and couldn't be happier. They were super friendly and helpful while we were looking and priced competitively. Chair arrived today and it's fantastic. We had bought a recliner from Bassett and it started falling apart in less than 1 year!

Made in Pescadero is a hidden GEM! We've furnished two houses with custom made furniture from the store. Ken and Marcus are real craftsmen. You can buy a factory made piece from Flegel's for 2X the price and you'll get nice pieces that you can find in plenty of other homes. Or you can build one-of-kind pieces of art inspired by anything you've seen or can imagine. Ken made us a beautiful table milled from reclaimed timbers from a 100 year old Redwood bridge piling that washed out in the flood of '98. Marcus even made us a "magic" pop-up coffee table from some beautiful figured cherry (though it was so hard to balance he swore he'd never build another).

If you want a nice but me-too piece of furniture - go to Flegels and get a Stickley reproduction. If you want a one-of-a-kind heirloom quality piece of furniture make the trek to Pescadero!

The furniture is very expensive, but it's beautiful, and hand-made in Pescadero of solid hardwood. We bought a bed, 2 nightstands, and 2 dressers. One of the dressers had a flaw. The drawers didn't open and close as smoothly as the drawers on the other dresser. Right after the furniture was delivered, Ken, the owner, called me to ask if I was satisfied.

I told him about the issue. He sent one of his carpenters to my home (50 miles from Pescadero) to examine it. It turned out that the dresser was made by a newly hired carpenter, who made the cabinet 1/8 too narrow. The drawers were the correct size, so they were scraping against the cabinet a little bit. Ken decided to build a new cabinet for me, and to put the existing drawers into the new cabinet.

They did so quickly, delivered the new cabinet, and took away the flawed one, all at no extra charge. It now works perfectly. Both Ken and the carpenter who made the mistake apologized for it. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because I'm disappointed that they didn't have better quality control. Somebody should have examined the dresser and noticed the flaw before delivering it to me. But they did an amazing job of resolving the issue, and the furniture is beautiful.

After glamping at nearby Costanoa and a lunch at Duarte next door, we stumbled into this gem by accident. We had been shopping for a dining room table in Oakland where we live and were surprised at the high cost and lack of quality from the high end retailers. When we entered the Made in Pescadero store, we could see this was someplace special that made beautiful wood products and were totally drawn to them.

When we inquired about pricing, we were blown away at how reasonable it was for custom-made furniture. Once we returned home to Oakland, I called them and began the easy process of designing and having them build our dining table. It was completed on time, delivered perfectly and we couldn't be happier. These carpenters are special, what they're producing is really high quality at a very reasonable price without all the filler garbage you'll find in many of the retailer's furniture.

We have a beautiful walnut trestle dining table now and we're grateful to Made in Pescadero for such high quality at such a reasonable price with excellent communication along the way.

Though pricey, this wonderful store has the best handmade wooden goods from coast to coast. They have items from all price ranges for all parts of the home and office. I was able to get my wife a beautiful cherry and mixed wood jewelry box for a very reasonable price given the quality of the construction, detail, and materials. She just absolutely loves it.

Whenever I'm in the Pescadero area, and they're open, I usually stop in just to see what's new and whose work they are carrying. They do in-house pieces to at your request, but that is definitely very pricey. Either way, do yourself a favor and stop it. Enjoy handmade items of high quality-- completely worth it.

Made in Pescadero is a unique shop that sells beds, dressers, leather couches, and other items. I have bought a craftsman style lamp, a patchwork quilt, specialty tiles that are animal themed, a frog themed mug, and a silver lion ring. Considering the interesting spread of items that I have purchased there, the store certainly does offer quite a variety of interesting items to choose from.

The staff are very welcoming, mellow and low-key. Pescadero is a very tiny little seaside town, with Made in Pescadero being one of the town's highlights, along with a couple of nice eateries and art galleries.

When I dream of premium hand-crafted redwood furniture my mind goes straight to Made In Pescadero. I grew up in the redwoods. Wherever I go I can't get over how redwood is superior. But if your looking for other items like artwork or decor you can find it here.

The knicky knacks are wonderful here. If I had a registry somewhere, I'd put the banana slugs and squid items from Mae In Pescadero on there.

Beautiful furniture in tiny Pescadero. This store has some really great artisan wood tables and chairs, bed frames, etc. Top notch quality. They also sell some pottery by local artists.

The items in this store are absolutely amazing, and all very unique due to the fact that they're all hand-made. The craftmanship, the choices of wood, the art.it's all pretty awesome. But even more amazing are the price tags. OUCH. There's a rocking loveseat we liked.but it costs more than a full leather sectional. A small polished walnut bowl? $295. Jesus. A lovely place to stop in and look, but for normal people, not a reasonable choice when doing some furniture shopping.

The wood furniture in here is absolute delicious. It's all locally handmade and they can do custom pieces. It's kind of a modern craftsman look. The art on the walls was actually really cool too. All in all, this is very different from what you would expect to find in most coastal towns that depend on tourists for income. I wish I had more $ to spend on things like this!

You would never expect to find a store like this in Pescadero. Ultra-High end furniture in a big barn of a space. Everything costs a lot and I wonder how is actually buying this work, Woodsiders, Athertonians, Menlo Parkians. All others would be out of the price range. The woods used are incredibly beautiful and expensive. The prices took my breath away and that doesn't include delivery, (scratch-free) delivery.

All in all, very artsy designs next to simple dressers and bed frames. Personally, I don't have the cash or the desire to have goods of this quality. But it is beautiful. Stop by, ask questions of the friendly staff and see for yourself.

Made in Pescadero makes high quality Craftsman-type furniture and associated housewares. I like this well made "country" style and only with that they would have an occasional sale or offer "seconds" so that I could better afford this! And the cost to have it delivered. Nonetheless, it's fun to look around and the folks who work here are friendly and passionate about what they do.

The showroom is well lit and presented. On my last trip (while waiting for our time on the Duarte's wait list), I bought a very nice wood mouse pad. Who knows what I'll work myself up to next time!

Made in Pescadero carries a good selection of mostly natural cherry Craftsman- and Arts&Crafts-style furniture, lamps and decorative housewares, and some jewelry. If you like Thomas Moser furniture, you owe yourself a stop by Made In Pescadero, too. A few years ago, I bought a beautiful cherry-wood dresser here and wish I had bought the two of them they had in stock.

Delivery over the hill to Menlo Park was prohibitively expensive, so I ended up paying a private service to pick it up for me, and the store was quite accommodating. When buying things, I've had great personal service here, but on an average weekend one can get the ordinary tourist treatment. When I went in this past weekend, the furniture on the floor seemed more basic and less artistic (see picture #2 vs. picture #1) than I've seen before, but that may just have been a product of what has or hasn't sold recently.
