Hands down best customer service I have received anywhere. The amount of knowledge that Jared has about the products they carry was incredible. Jared was very good at explaining everything to my wife and I, he also explained what we needed and didn't need. I highly recommend Ray Johnson's.

We found this store to replace my Dad's gas fireplace insert. We went in and picked out the model he liked - paid for it - they delivered and installed. Every step of the way, everyone we dealt with was extremely pleasant and professional. Recently - I was having trouble getting everything up-and-running after the summer shut down of the fireplace.

I tried everything. Finally I called to see if someone could help me over the phone. That didn't work so someone came to the house and fixed it - turns out it was "user error" (my fault)! I can't say enough good things about this place and everyone who works there - they're THE BEST!

I 100% recommend Ray Johnson's Fireplace and Patio. I was in search of a gas fireplace box and log set and after going to two major stores in Williamsburg I was completely disappointed with the stores and their associates. I decided to give Ray's a try. First I called and asked for info over the phone before I made the drive and was already pleased with the customer service.

I drove to the store and was greeted at the door by Jared Johnson (who I assume is a relative) and his wealth of knowledge - he said he practically grew up in the store and he knew all of the ins and outs of what I needed. He showed me my options and explained what I needed and what I didn't. I enjoyed talking with him and how he wasn't pushing me into buying something that I didn't really need.

I ordered a box and log set and it arrived within a week. He was super responsive by email as well. If you want the family feel and are looking for someone who knows the product they are selling I recommend looking no further - you have found the place.

After weeks of searching for a part and having other providers tell me what I was looking for wasn't available, Ray Johnson's fireplace came through! I am certain the information they gave me is correct as I was also able to confirm it through Vermont Casting. Looking forward to my part coming in and having my stove repaired! Ray Johnson's is a fantastic, locally owned family business. Ray's is my number one choice for anything related to indoor gas fireplace inserts and outdoor gas and charcoal grills. Their selection is top notch and their prices are extremely competitive. Just last month, I took a fireplace log back in that I purchased from them 10 years ago! Within 15 minutes, they cleaned the log as well as ordered me a replacement!

They even gave me a retail bottle of log cleaner solution to take home. I challenge anyone to find this kind of personal service from the big guys (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.). Ray Johnson's delivers, the others do not. Period. Bottom line: Ray's is locally owned, honest, very reasonable and perfectly knowledgeable. THANK YOU!

I called Ray's Fireplace shop on Wednesday, I needed help with lighting my gas logs for the first time this season. I spoke with Jason who was very patient and helpful. Still I was not successful in lighting my logs. A technician came on Friday and in minutes had my logs up and burning. Everyone is very helpful, friendly and patient. Thank you for your expertise. Would highly recommend Ray's.
