Leon & Lulu

This special place never disappoints. They have dishes that always seem to be on the menu and then they have dishes that are new. Sometimes you have to order the new dishes before they are out, but they are out because they were very good. The staff here treat you like you are family and everything about the place makes you feel at home, but fancier.

If you haven't been here before, I highly recommend trying all the meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). My favorite is dinner, but all of the food is good. You will then be a customer for a very very long time! Enjoy.

Always a delight, each visit has new discoveries. Bring your checkbook, it's a little pricey. Also, skip anything made in China.

Ten stars! Leon & Lulu is the anchor of charming downtown Clawson, and it's always a thrill to shop here. This place isn't just a store -- it's an "experience" and a local landmark. And it's worth a drive from anywhere in the state. Everyone on staff is courteous, helpful, and friendly. The merchandise is endlessly amazing, from women's boutique-style clothing to gorgeous furniture, plus a wide, eclectic array of gift items and books to please any age group.

And did I mention the greeting cards? You have to see them to believe them -- a great, unique selection. As if that weren't enough for a perfect retail experience, bear in mind that Leon & Lulu ALSO hosts store events to benefits a variety of good causes and charities in the Detroit area. You will feel great about shopping here. And when you've finished making your purchases, don't miss lunch, dinner, or drinks next door at Three Cats Cafe, which is part of the Leon & Lulu enterprise. The food is spectacular, and the atmosphere is unlike any other. If this place doesn't cheer you up, I don't know what will!

So many wonderful, extraordinary, eclectic items. Beautiful store - so colorful. Many items are made by artisans. But that comes at a price. Its very expensive. Not for the bargain buyer. But if you are looking for one-of-a-kind, fabulous things, and price is no object, this is the store for you!

Grandsons bday party. menu is incredible, limited, but thats a good thing@! Everything is fresh and homemade, including the cocktails, atmosphere is great antiques everywhere, original greeting cards sold there, staff is expeditious. well trained bravo. can't wait til the patio opens. The bathrooms have cloth towels for hand drying, and cool art. thats for sale hanging from the walls, that was the men's room.lol

I was shopping for gift for a family member and found so many different items to choose from. I had such a great time that I didn't realize how much time I was shopping in the store and it isn't just the merchandise that keeps you there, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting.

What a unique, artistic amusing, and whimsical place! You'll find an ever-changing (and always inspiring) assortment of books, clothing, furniture, bath and body items, gag gifts, art pieces, snacks, mugs, magnets, cards, etc etc. it's truly an experience. I haven't eaten at the cafe next door, but have heard wonderful things about it as well. Leon & Lulu is pure fun & a visit here is sure to brighten anyone's day.

This store has something for everyone. Furniture, clothes, books & lots of novelty stuff that I haven't seen anywhere else, are all there.

Everything about this independent boutique says YAY! The merchandise is unique, varied in price. The staff is not only so nice but also KNOWS about the merchandise. During a shopping trip with my sister and friend, there was a retail casualty and the customer service team was so kind and responsive. Plan to spend a least an hour shopping. lots and lots of very interesting stuff. from books to clothing, candy and "stuff". a must go. lots of parking. very nice staff. very cool book selection. take a picture of yourself in their old time phone booth!9

This is my favorite place for retail therapy and so much more! The environment is a delight to the senses. There is something for everyone and the staff is kind and friendly whenever I stop in-which is at least once weekly! It is a furniture store, a gift shop, a women's clothing store and I could keep going. And remember to stop for a meal or a treat at Three Cats Cafe!

I had SO much fun visiting this store for the first time last week! To s of good gift ideas, and the decorating is just amazing. I felt like I was on a movie set. Well-curated, unique products, and good vibes

While there are some pricey furniture here, the little knick knacks are reasonable and unique. Many smart ass ones that if you have a picky friend to buy for come here. I have brought books, coaster, socks, and decor that adds character to my place. Anytime I am in Clawson, I try to make time to see what is new. Free parking in the back with a door to enter. I am glad they survived 2020.

What a beautiful store. And what amazing staff. We were there with my daughter yesterday, she bought a little ball and the lady the as so kind and packed it up for her individually and put a ribbon of her choice making her feel super special : Thank you!

A fabulous store where you can get everything from a card (the best selection around) to top of the line furniture to a delicious meal. If you need inspiration for that hard to buy for person this is the place, you won't leave empty handed. I've been shopping there for years and have never had a bad experience. The BEST retail therapy around!

Leon & Lulu is a true neighborhood gem. At a time when it's difficult to find good quality furniture at great prices, the store has beautiful options. You can also find really interesting personal gifts of a unique nature! A must visit!

Such a cute store! So many Michigan themed things for the home. Great place to find gifts for people of all ages. Also had a ton of people working who were able to help find anything since the store is so huge.

Such a cute space. Lots of shopping choices. They have everything from sofas and pillows, to bathroom soaps, and kids toys. It is a very welcoming space and definitely fun to walk around and look at the eclectic and Michigan themed decor.

A very nice and cute home store that is much bigger and nicer than its entrance area would suggest. There is a little bit here for everyone, and the employees were very friendly and helpful.

There's no place like it, beautiful merchandise, quirky and fun! Three Cats Cafe is great too!

They were the BEST during this whole safer at home experience. For two years my mother has been talking about wanting a special yellow gurgle pot for her collection, had to be the right size and everything. Gurgle pots are not easy to find. I was able to call up the store in April, tell them what I was looking for and they had it. Took my card. over the phone, had it gift wrapped in 15 minutes, and brought it out to my car for contactless delivery. My mom was completely shocked when she finally had the last piece she wanted for her collection and they made it happen.

Wonderful place to find interesting gifts and items for your wardrobe and home. You will spend more than you planned, but for the quality that is normal. You will not find most items anywhere else. Service is helping and plentiful. They do have some items next door at the restaurant so if you want to see it all you have to shop both places.

What an adorable shop?! Reminds me of Pier One which I love! Lots of cute home decor, Christmas, Halloween, and Autumn/Thanksgiving decorations. They had cute light up Christmas bulb jewelry and lots of cute Christmas decorations like beer and wine glass ornaments that actually look like they have beer and wine in them. They had lots of cute Thanksgiving and Christmas place settings and dishes, and big Christmas stuffed sloths and Santas and adorable snow globes that look like vintage TV sets.

The store is very large. Most of the seasonal home decorations are up front, then there are couches and furniture in the middle of the store, and books, toys, coffee mugs, jewelry and giftables are toward the middle near the cash register. Most items are kind of on the pricier end. There's also a wine bar towards the left. You can order glasses of Chardonnay, Merlot, and Riesling while you shop and a glass of wine is around $10-$12. Leon and LuLu is located in what used to be a skating rink so they have lots of roller skates and skating rink memorabilia decorating the store.

Next door is Three Cats Cafe which is a bar and restaurant connected to Leon and LuLu. Three Cats Cafe used to be a movie theatre which you can tell from the exterior which has a mannequin movie theatre associate sitting in the window. Three Cats Cafe is very cute inside too, dim lit, with chandeliers and cozy and they sell greeting cards and Michigan goods inside. Leon and LuLu is an adorable store and so fun to walk through, especially during the holidays.

Having read all of the reviews and visiting few times. I am blown away that no one experienced the pretentious employees of this store. I have gone with my daughter in law, a friend from Chicago. Yes, wonderfully delightful and unique merchandise beautifully displayed However, after taking my friend there Saturday, I will never return. I don't care how cool I think their merchandise is or if I have money burning a hole in my pocket. I'm out I interacted with four different employees, each one was more unpleasant than the one prior. Zero eye contact at cashier desk.

I asked if they had water and was told yes in the bar. There was no bottled water and No one to assist. Had to go ask for assistance. Was told She could not help. After a brief stand off, she did get someone to help As expected she was also dreadful with no eye contact Again

I love this shop! Great collection of eclectic home goods. No matter how many times I go in, there always seems to be more stuff to see. I was super excited to learn that they opened a coffee and sandwich shop. I live in Clawson, and it's a great addition to the community!

What a great, eclectic shopping experience. A little bit of everything you didn't know you needed or were looking for, and lots of local artisans and products. Bought a few things I decided I couldn't live without. A little pricier than shopping at a big box store, but you get charm, quality, and extraordinary selections.

I had never been here before and was so glad I went! I can't believe how big the space is- and it's filled with amazing things. I went specifically looking for Christmas gifts and was able to find something for almost everyone on my list. So many cute decorative items, soaps and candles, planners, kitchen items, small Knick knacks for stocking stuffers. The staff was friendly and I loved the wide selection and variety of products. Will return for future shopping!

My kids loved browsing through the store to checkout possible Christmas gifts. I couldn't buy anything in front of them so I'll have to pick up the LED candles and piano when they aren't around. I didn't really care for the clothes that were available. I thought they screamed "old lady" and I'm not ready to accept that fact yet.

I need to go back and investigate what looked to be a bunch of different match sticks, maybe scented? They had some gorgeous Christmas ornaments on display that I want to purchase as gifts. Service was very friendly. Three employees greeted us throughout our visit. I was pleased that one lady asked me for permission to take a pic of my kids for social media. I usually do not post pics of my kids online, but agreed since this was a charity event they were hosting.

Just the cutest store for odds - n -ends type things! Tucked away in an old skating hall, this store has an eclectic feel of furniture, accessories, home good and beauty. This is the kind of store you spend a few good hours in, if you want to spot everything they have! They staged a few of the areas, kinda cool way to display items. They had things hanging from the ceiling, walls, tucked away and put on display.

I toon a few pictures of items I'll want in the future. Essentially I walked away with some items I never thought I needed. like a item called 'Angry Mama' that you out in the microwave to soften hardened food specs, for help cleaning. While you're here, don't forget to stop over at the Cats cafe and Leon and Lulus showroom! That in itself is pretty magical, for being housed in an old cinema theater.

What a wonderful place! You could spend hours just browsing, I found a fabulous Michigan gift for my sister. While there, a small gathering of ladies sat at a dining table and enjoyed a meal from 3CatCafe which is Separate from Leon&Lulu, but attached to the building. All in all, it's a great place to shop, hangout and/or have a bite.

The free popcorn, nice touch! Cool interior, was an old roller skating hall. The interior, goods are most suited to an older crowd. Definitely could use a modern touch.

Here's my typical gift buying process: Think. Stall. Stress. Want to buy something online but it's too late. Panic. Settle. Here was my gift buying process at Leon & Lulu: Oh cool. Perfect. Cha-ching! This huge, former roller rink is brimming with quality gifts, furniture, and a million other keenly chosen stylish knickknacks. A little bit of World Market, a little bit of a vintage toy store, a little West Elm, it's hard to explain succinctly what Leon & Lulu is until you set foot in it.

I was here for a Yelp event and discovered this gem and can totally see how it's a destination spot for locals. They also own the former Clawson theater next door and have refurbished it in equally cool fashion. Every person I interacted with here was equally wonderful, with a positive radiance that fit the store itself.
