I was born in England in 1953 and grew up in Charlottesville, Va. I started building as a young boy and had my first formal woodworking lessons at nine. My high school years were filled with making sculpture and furniture. I went to The School for American Crafts in Rochester NY and graduated with a BFA in 1975.
