I spoke to someone on the phone about a coffee table I was on my way to come get, I live 45 mins away. I asked them if they could set it aside and they said yes. Once I finally arrived they said they just sold it 30 mins before I got there. WHAT THE SHITTY SERVICE IS THIS. Don't waste your time and come here.

Thanks to the shelter-in-place I needed an ergonomic chair for my home office set up. Based on previous experience, I knew that I really wanted a Herman Miller Aeron chair. My company was offering limited reimbursement support, so I checked Craigslist for pre-owned chairs. Thank goodness Kantor's advertised through CL.I'm so glad to have found them!
They had a number of Aeron chairs in their shop, and importantly they had several in size A for petite folks like me. The showroom has an impressive range of new and pre-owned office furniture for any need. The whole experience working with Johnny was fantastic, from my first inquiry phone call about stock to picking the best chair from what they had available and paying for it with my corporate AmEx card. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and my back is SO thankful that I now have proper seating. I highly recommend Kantor's!

I have been searching for a month now for a small reception desk to put into my new salon in Monterey, Ca. & finally found one on Craigslist that would be perfect from this business! I grabbed my husband and we headed off to Oakland and found the desk was better in person and the price point was more than fair and reasonable considering that the shipping costs on reception desks can cost about the same, if not more than the desk itself!
On top of getting a great price, my husband who hurt his knee on the job couldn't help load the desk and they noticed & were accomidating, and loaded the desk into my suv! I would recommend them any day of the week! Big Thank you to Johnny and the sweet gals in the front, as well as the gentleman that helped load the desk.

I've been lucky a lot lately, but I won't mention that further to keep it that way. Luck in running across a lot of places worthy of a five star review. But to modify down the five star reviews, two of them were for Starbucks Coffee. I still feel real lucky that I ran down two great baristas on two visits in a row explains a lot. But furniture is different from coffee.
It is a highly competitive market, and I researched a very long time making comparisons and the waiting paid off. It paid off once in that I learned something key to my purchase decision, and when it came down to it, both things were true that it was the closest office furniture store near the studio and they had the best price. I was advised by Suzie Benton there.
The loading and transaction went flawlessly, I felt I got friendly, great service with that warm, familiar family feel that other places don't always provide. I scoured the bay looking for great deals and though turning up another private one like with my filing cabinets. I got three of those for one hundred dollars, and trades some moving for some more cash. Kantors Home and Office Furniture's price for my two new bookcases is the best part of this review.
They look great and are sturdy and well handled. In fact the only experience aspect I would stipulate was I wished I didn't have to lug them up two flights of stairs. I was out of there and set up after cleaning my furniture two hours later, and that is what you always want to dig about studio space: its the place where you make creativity happen. Jazz it up. Five stars++++! From Suzie's assistance in the showroom and placing our order, to the professional delivery and installation with care, this company is the best! We were looking for home office furniture, and not satisfied with what we found at furniture stores or online. Somehow I stumbled upon Kantors and we visited the showroom on a Saturday.
They have a huge selection of new and used office furniture, including desks, u-shaped configurations, file cabinets, and chairs. I have a professional looking home office and now on to filling the shelves and file drawers! Thank you Suzie, and Kantors delivery guys! You are the best!

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into this warehouse. There is such a large variety of new and used furniture. I had been looking for chairs and I shopped in many store in the Bay Area. What I was unable to find in others stores I found here at Kantors. Kantors is the only store with a wide variety of chairs that I could actually sit on and test for comfortability.
I was so happy to find Kantors. The customer service was first class. The salesman was very patient and helpful.(I can't remember his name.) I didn't feel any pressure and I was able to roam the floor. The men in the other warehouse where the chairs were stored were extremely nice and helpful. Overall I am really satisfied with the chairs we purchased. I feel like I finally found a store that I can count on to meet my furniture needs. I almost forgot. The prices were very good.

We needed a table and a chair for our son. Wanted something good, but relatively inexpensive (i.e., used). In twenty minutes, we found excellent product at an excellent price, and were out the door with the car loaded. Johnny, our salesman, was helpful and friendly. It will be my first stop whenever I need office furniture in the future.

Hands down one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. The sales rep I worked with made mistake after mistake, constantly passing the blame. I can't even begin to list all the missteps, poor communication and screw ups. Top to bottom horrible experience. The furniture is super nice though. Good thing it's available from other retailers. UPDATE: Craziest business I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Stay away, do business with sane people. Problem's systemic, from the top down.

After finding their listing on Craigslist I decided to drop by Kantor's this Saturday to get a chair for my home office. With their store being only 15mins away, I figured it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Upon arrival parking was not a problem due to the location. Industrial area/culdesac. It was about 4:23pm as I entered and pretty much immediately after walking in I was greeted by Susan by who was very helpful and cordial.
She informed me on the layout of their warehouse and I was off upstairs to find a Steelcase chair. After searching upstairs for about 5mins I found the chair I wanted. I then headed back downstairs and told Susan I found my chair. Which then she called someone from the back to bring down my chair after I pointed out which one it was. As soon as it was brought down, Susan wrote me up a bill of sale and I was done!
Quick and painless. The visit here could not have been any easier! What more could you ask for. As I was leaving the store, I heard a voice call out "excuse me" he said. I was told that even though they don't sell a warranty with the chair, should anything go wrong with the chair within a year, I was informed to give them a call. I thought that was some fantastic customer service.
I then asked the gentleman his name and he introduced himself. He said Neil, Neil Kantor. How cool was that! The owner of the store himself came out just to let me know that. I doubt that anything will go wrong with my Steelcase chair, but if it does within a year. Kantor's got me taken care of. What a terrific establishment of 30+ years here in the bay area. I definitely will frequent them again should I need another chair! Thanks again Susan and Neil!

My office was moving and we wanted to update our furniture. I looked at about 6 other places before I found Kantors. And I must say, I am glad I did! On my first trip in, Yona helped me look for desks and showed me all different configurations. I gathered the info and took it back to my boss. A week or two later, my boss and I stopped by. Once again, we had the pleasure of working with Yona.
We were there for quite awhile. She was patient with us and answered all the questions we had while we were weighing our options. When we decided what we wanted, she ordered it for us and called when it was ready for pickup. We didn't pick it up right away and she even called to make sure everything was okay. My boss said the people at the warehouse were nice as well. Our new office furniture looks great! Thank you Kantors!

I was quite impressed with this company--Great customer service from start to finish. Karen was a huge help and made everything easy for me during the ordering process. I wasn't present when the furniture was delivered, but I was informed that everything ran smoothly. The ones who delivered the furniture were friendly and set up the desks very quickly with zero issues.

So my company spent MONTHS looking online for new office furniture and we could not find what we wanted for a decent price. She spoke with a Wonderful woman name Suzie. Suzie suggested that she come in and take a look at what they had to offer. When she came back to the office, she had a great head start to get us what we needed. We just had to figure out if we needed left or right desk, or two lefts or two rights. It was crazy, again Suzie was great. She asked that we send pictures of our currant set up so that she could better understand what we wanted and what our set up was.
We did just that. Suzie and her team were awesome. She sent a drawing of what she thought we needed and it was perfect. Now all we had to do was get approval for the pricing. Our corporate office couldn't believe that we were so under budget. They loved the price, the set up and the CUSTOMER SERVICE! It was such an awesome experience. The Kantor's team took the time to answer ALL of our questions (there were a lot of them) they explained the process step by step and they made sure we felt comfortable with their service.
When the delivery team showed up they were fast and efficient. They made sure everything was correct, they took time to explain the what they were doing and by the time they left we VERY EXCITED about our new office furniture! I would suggest Kantor's to ANYBODY looking for new office furniture! Their staff is simply amazing!

It was hard for me to find good office furniture in the East Bay. My wife did a little searching on the internet, and found Kantors. We have been three times to buy furniture. They also have some good deals upstairs on some close out items. I bought more than I intended. I must like the place, because I spent about $5,000. Delivery/set up was great.
The deliveries were actually a few minutes before the "window"; which is nice (instead of waiting around all day). Suzie helped us with our purchase, and kept us up to date with the delivery status. One bit of advise is to check the internet ad versus the in store prices (the prices didn't always match up). I'll go back again

Kantor's did an outstanding job removing 10,000 square feet of office furniture from our suite of 20 offices and they disassembled/removed 20 cubes. They bought our furniture which means they hired the movers and hauled everything away. This is a lot of furniture - 3 truck loads. Our building managers have strict requirements about moving times and insurance.
No problem, Kantor's had it covered. Ken Kantor was present. He's very professional and a very nice man. When getting bids, I had read horrible yelp reviews for other companies who did not follow through and remove everything. Kantor's took everything. Down to the last chair, rug saver and bulletin board. Thank you Team Kantor's. Great job.

Bought a couch from Kantors and paid over 2K for it. In less than a year, the seldom used electric recline switches went bad. One side is up, and the other side is reclined. I went to the store and provided the serial numbers and was told the replacement switches would be shipped directly to me. Four months go by, I never received them. I sent a full page letter to Ken Kantor, asking about the switches, and describing other problems with the couch.
I received a short note back asking for the numbers again, with no mention made about the other defects. To retrieve these numbers I have to turn the couch sections completely upside down. This is a big job for me, because I'm not as young as I used to be. This couch is constructed with wood on the inner sides next to the arm rests that have no padding at all.
The wife and I regularly bruise our hips on it when sitting down. It has a section where the seat is sprung, and when we sit there its like falling in a hole. This was a visually appealing but physically disappointing purchase, and we are completely unhappy with it. But we are also completely stuck with it. Remember this when shopping for furniture.
There are many pieces out there that look nice, but the reality is they are poorly designed uncomfortable pieces of junk. I don't know who is manufacturing quality furniture anymore, but don't just trust your eyes. Our broken half reclined couch is a constant reminder of the mistake we made shopping at Kantors. Junk, just junk.

I just came to check out the showroom, which is very large and impressive, and try out a few office chairs. This is the largest selection of office chairs I have ever seen in the Bay Area. Office Depot/Max is nothing compared to this. There's a range of various priced chairs from below $100 to over $800. Check their website for special sales and clearances. I didn't end up buying anything but I did fall in love with a memory foam chair. Hours on weeknights are until 7 pm.

Do you want to wait months for a piece of furniture you were promised to have in a few weeks? Do you want to have an unresponsive Sales Person who doesn't follow through with their promises? Then Kantors is the place for you! Here's the long and short-- we ordered our bed in early March and was told it would be in, in 3 weeks AT THE MOST.
Our sales person said he's likes to "overestimate" and that we'd probably get it sooner. Two weeks later we get a call that the bed is coming at the end of April which would be 7 weeks from our order date. This resulted in us not having a bed for my visiting Mother In-Law which = me giving up my bed for her so she had a place to sleep. The end of April comes and no word from our sales person.
I call him on the 30th to find out our bed STILL won't be for another week. He never offered to refund our $75 delivery fee or to do anything for our inconvenience I had to REQUEST a refund and wait another week for him to talk to his manager about it. Our sales person promised when the bed was delivered we'd get a refund for delivery because it was so late. A week later, I still have no refund for my delivery. Good luck if you choose to order something from them. I hope you have time to wait

I watched Bay Area Bargains last Saturday on KRON/NBC-Channel 4. I decided to investigate and check out the sofabed selection in the showroom. I met the owner, Mr. Kantor-he's funny! Francisco Martinez called me a day ago and told me he will show me what is available in Kantor's showroom. So, I went to Kantor's today. Francisco showed me the sofabed selection that Kantor's has in stock in their showroom. Kantor's didn't have a large sofabed selection compared to their regular sofas they have in stock.

Kantor's has a lease and/or rent program for offices regarding furniture and office equipment. when a lease or rental ends, the rented item is trucked here for resale. havn't been here for over a decade. usually, office chairs go for $99. i would look for an odd coloured one that was functional in the 20's. don't know how it is these days.

OK, we're picky. We want cute furniture that's comfy and supports our tired backs. We have specific dimension requirements and a very limited budget. Easy, right? I think we sat on every couch at Kantors, cute or not. And we found the perfect couch, loveseat/"chair-and-a-half" -- and a bonus $99 rug. We got free shipping, and voila! New furniture. It *was* easy!

This place is a big warehouse with everything out on the floor - feels like Sears appliance outlet - not attractive. With a few exceptions, the price in general is not any different than retail furniture stores. They carry a lot of furniture made with composite woods - so, be sure to check. The sales people always have been very nice and helpful. However, they had a nice dining room set for $1400 (table, chair, buffet and hutch) and my wife was only interested in table and chairs. So, she asked the sales person if they are selling just the table and the chairs.
The owner said that "You can take the table and the chair for $1400." His tone and answer made it clear he didn't want our business. My wife, then, informed the sales person that they lost sales for good and we went to another furniture store and made our purchase.
