We cannot blame Covid for poor service in this case. We went to specifically buy nursery furniture from Behr's but after the rudest experience was had, my son-in-law said that he would pay more just not to give the salesman Benny his sale! Upon walking in, we get "I don't know what you're looking for but if anyone asks, you're being helped, my name is Benny." Well, when the time came that we needed help I had to search for Benny and it was obvious that i was disturbing him.

He said he'll be right with us. So, 10 min later I went to find him again! I get- I'll follow you blondie". So inappropriate! Pretty much he told us that the displayed prices aren't the real prices and he'll price everything out. After giving us his scribble of the new prices, he was done with us - but WE weren't done- my daughter had questions about delivery dates- this man actually rolled his eyes and sighed because he had to turn around & give us more of his precious time.

We ended up at Buy Buy Baby where my daughter & son-in-law bought the first set they fell in love with - for $600+ less than the scribble Benny wrote out. The saleswoman at BBB was so pleasant & made the shopping experience what it should be at this exciting time getting ready for a new baby! Will never go back to Behr's.

Benny is a horrible sales person. We put a down payment on a dresser to complete our 9 months old furniture. Was told 6 weeks for delivery. We'll it's now 8 weeks and giving us a run a round. We are moving out of state and need before we leave. been calling for 2 weeks and still no update.no call back as promised. I don't understand how they are still in business. Horrible service

What a fantastic experience we had with Benny at Behr's furniture for our baby girl's crib & dressers! During the entire process he made me feel like I was constantly a priority, going above and beyond to exceed our expectations. I felt safe being in the showroom as they take the necessary precautions in response to the COVID climate. Benny kept me updated during production and shipping so I always had a realistic expectation on schedule and there were no surprises.

Even the delivery and setup was so smooth (leaving the room spotless after the items were completely assembled). The quality of the furniture we selected is top notch and will be with my baby girl as she grows in the years to come. We will 100% be returning for our next furniture venture as we feel like family!

IN SHORT: shocking that this place is still in business. DO NOT waste your time buying baby furniture here! It'll never show and sales reps go MIA. My husband and I came here despite reading all of the recent negative reviews. We tried to keep an open mind about the experience knowing that Behr's has been around forever (my parents bought my nursery furniture here when they were on Hicksville Rd) and it was reputable and good quality stuff.

We went in January when I was 19 weeks pregnant, at the time we felt it was so early to buy furniture but figured better safe than sorry. We worked with Maria who was lovely and actually had asked us to write a review to help boost their ratings. I said I would, but wanted to wait until we received our furniture to give an honest review. I'm glad I waited.

We picked out a set with a glider and were quoted 12 to 16 weeks for delivery due to Covid and manufacture delays. We felt that that was a very generous estimate and that they were upfront with that, we had plenty of time to wait and were not worried. After about 10 weeks and not hearing from them we contacted the store multiple times to get an update.

We worked with Benny (who was grumpy as hell) and he informed us that the manufacturer is no longer producing our crib and therefore our order has been cancelled. This was information that we found out after contacting them ourselves. We went in the store to discuss our options and eventually settled on an agreement that we would take the floor sample as is and contact the manufacturer ourselves to receive the crib conversion kit and toddler rail, which we did.

Next we were waiting on our custom glider which still had a couple of weeks to be completed. We waited and waited and after not receiving any updates from the store, we called them back again for an update only to find out that surprise! the manufacturer was going to be delayed another 6 weeks because they were "waiting on foam for the chair". This new delay now puts us 2 to 4 weeks PAST our due date and I have zero confidence that it'll ever be completed at this point.

We're currently working on getting our money back and will look for a glider elsewhere even though most companies now have at least a 4 to 6 week delivery window which again, puts us past our due date. Just unfortunate. Wish I listened to all of the other honest, 1 star reviews. Save yourself the aggravation.

Went in with my husband to look at furniture and get prices. Sales staff was standoffish and not helpful. Was nice at first to be able to walk around and look without being surrounded by staff however they were no where to be found when we had a question. What they have in showroom may be available in different colors but they have no book or photos to show you what the color looks like.

After leaving I called 4-5 times over a week and half and voicemails rvery time regarding pricing or a specific set we saw while there and never got a call back. Off to buy buy baby we go!

I went to Behr's for baby furniture and made out better than expected! Ken made everything so easy and took care of everything. He was so knowledgeable, diligent and worked well with our price range. The quality of the furniture is strong wood and solid. Delivery was prompt and communication was great. Thanks again!

Do not buy furniture from this place. For our first born child we spent top dollar. We bought forever furniture as the salesperson put it. They were late delivering, product is not what we bought and there's a crack in the furniture. Even the recliner that we paid 600 dollars for didn't las.t When you call they say it's a manufacture problem. We bought online and had a problem they simply replaced the furniture

Had a great experience here! Bought a Bellini bedroom set when my daughter was born and had the hardest time matching the color with a big girl bed and the sales woman Maria was so incredibly patient with me, I went back 3 separate times and finally on the last trip she helped me find the perfect bed after showing me about 100 different options! Would definitely recommend

I purchased baby from this place crib, 2 dressers, mattress, toddler rail conversion kit, and full size bed conversion kit. First and foremost I recover a display model of which I did not order I never received the correct knobs for the 2 dressers that I ordered I got the wrong mattress and also I never received the full size bed conversion kit. This is all thank to the salesperson BENNY you call the store and no one ever picks up the phone.

All I want is what I ordered and paid for. I will NEVER NEVER EVER purchase anything or recommend anyone to buy something for this place! EVER! If I don't get what I ordered I will be going to the better business bureau and take it from there. Good luck to this business! Better terms a dump of a place.

Do not walk away. RUN AWAY from this store! Horrible experience! I ordered my baby-to-be's furniture in August, I am due in December. I wasn't sure about the set we ordered, so Benny told us if we don't like it we can exchange it for another. He wrote so on my receipt and that it would be in 3-6 weeks. 12 weeks and countless phone calls later, the furniture came in, incomplete!

When I finally got a hold of Benny, he actually had the nerve to say, "Don't take this the wrong way but pregnant women aren't the easiest to deal with." Absolutely the worst customer service.

I wish I could give them zero stars. I ordered a crib, crib converter and a dresser for my son. I received the wrong conversion kit for the crib. When I noticed it, I immediately contacted them and was told that there was nothing they could do. The woman stated that they no longer sell that brand of furniture to contact the manufacturer and see if they would exchange it.

However the same exact set (brand and finish) is in their showroom and on their website! I contacted them several other times, leaving messages for the manager to call me and nothing. Not even a phone call. I've gone there in person with my receipt and they still were not willing to help me. I am appalled at the lack of customer service. I filed a complaint with the BBB and to no surprise they have an F rating. Please save yourself money and aggravation by shopping elsewhere!

I put an order through in March, ordered my Baby's whole furniture set. This is really upsetting because I'm seeing reviews from people that purchased back in January. If this business had been opened for over 100 years, and knew they were closing, WHY take more orders! Seems like fraud to me! Anyway, I did put a dispute on my credit card because I did receive a call from Behr's saying a Plan of Reorg. Did anyone receive a call from the actual Manufacturer? Romina called me and said they are trying to get all these orders out as a courtesy. I just want to make sure this is not a scam and for real!

I wish that I could give them 0 stars. Terrible company. We ordered our furniture at the end of January. It was supposed to be delivered in 8-12 weeks. After we heard that they were closing, we called them up and no one would answer our phone calls. My husband just got a call, 2 weeks later, that our order will not be fulfilled and that in order to get our deposit back to take it up with our credit card company. How, 14 weeks after we ordered our daughters furniture, are we now just getting a call that our order won't be fulfilled?

Our furniture should have been ordered WEEKS ago. In fact, the latest it should have been delivered was 2 weeks ago. Disgusting coming from a company that has been in business for 110 years.

A TRULY AWFUL COMPANY. We ordered our baby's nursery furniture on Labor Day, in Sept of 2015, scheduled for delivery in November, giving us almost 2 months to set up our nursery before our baby arrive. We only just received that last piece of furniture a few weeks ago (in APRIL of 2016). 7 1/2 months of waiting and being told on 6 different occasions that our items were "backordered".

The worst part, not once of those 6 times did THEY call and tell us. We had to call and complain each and every time after our furniture didn't arrive when we were told it was going to. They blamed the manufacturer Pali, saying they were having issues with the finish, so we called their bluff and call the manufacturer's directly who said it was an outright LIE. It is clear now that the company was borrowing from Peter to pay Paul rather than ordering our furniture.

DO NOT BUY FROM BEHR'S! We ordered a full nursery set in early March and were told there would be a 8-14 week delivery, so haven't contacted them since. In late April we heard something about them on News 12, and now they are "restructuring" and won't deliver furniture or give us money back. They are being very uncooperative. The website currently makes it seem like it's in good shape, but when you visit the store it looks like it's been hit by looters. Take your money elsewhere if you don't want to get screwed.

I ordered furniture on January 11th 2016 and today is April 19th and nothing.not even a phone call from them. I call them ever few weeks and get the same story.it's not in yet Today is April 21st, 2 days later and I am getting the same excuse. The store is still closed for inventory.no information available. The store has been closed all week. What a joke! How much inventory could they have to close a store for 3 days?

Very unhappy with our experience. Furniture arrived damaged, they came within a week to assess and said they would replace. We were told it would take a week, then 3, and 6 weeks later we still have nothing. No return phone calls. Awful! A month later.still no furniture. Avoid this place at all costs.

My wife and I purchased our first child's nursery furniture at Behr's and had a great experience. The showroom was large with a ton of different selections. The staff was very helpful in choosing the furniture. You can tell the quality of the furniture is much higher than chain stores. Once the nursery is finished, I'll be sure to update my review with pictures. I highly recommend Behr's.

I ordered two sets of furniture here and I wouldn't come back or allow my family to order for their future children here. Like many other people, our furniture is about 1 month late and counting. Our son was born a week late and he still beat our furniture - the furniture we ordered 4 moths ago. I called last week and asked the manager to call me back and that never happened.

We took a partial delivery of our order and one of the items delivered was damaged. When we called the store 30 minutes after the delivery, the woman who answered the phone offered little help and showed little concern. We had to track down the manager on vacation to get any help. I'll note, he was actually very helpful and showed concern and got the damaged item replaced fast.

All in all, buying here added a lot of stress during a stressful time, their stuff is not cheap, and they made to us bogus promises on delivery times and don't feel even a courtesy call to let you know is in order.

Awful customer service and I would never recommend this store to anyone. We bought TWO Romina cribs here when my twins were born and were told that it converts to a toddler bed AND to a full bed. They made an error ordering our toddler bed conversions and we had to wait an extra few weeks for it to come in. Today we called to order the full conversion, and now being told our bed doesn't have the capacity to become a full bed. Reggie, the "manager" is rude, wasn't helpful and told my husband to contact "Mr. Behr" with any issues. Called back to get an email address for "Mr. Behr" and we were given the incorrect general email address. Unbelievable. Do not shop here.

Great selection, not cheap but not the most expensive either. I don't do a lot of shopping with mom and pop stores because the customer service is usually lacking. Sad but true. In this case, there is a disconnect with the store, the manufacturer and/or shipping co. Let's just get right down to it, Behr's is at the mercy of the manufacturer and shipping co. and they have no control over when it gets delivered.

I don't really think they care, either. They are just a middle man. we shopped here at the recommendation of my brother in law. My dresser was promised a delivery date of August 1, then they told us no it would be earlier, end of July. I just called and they said they don't know, not sure when they'll get an update, late August at the most.

I should have asked how do you know late August? Where are you getting this info from? I did ask if someone would let us know if there is a further delay? The girl on the phone sounded doubtful but said they would. I doubt that's actually true. This is why you should shop with a chain store. They have multiple locations and usually a better handle on delivery and tracking.

I looked up reviews after the fact and I realized I should have trusted my gut. This store make false promises. Right now I'm in the midst of setting up the nursery and I'll use an old dresser, because I'm not holding my breath that the one I ordered will arrive before the baby is born. Too bad. UPDATE: We recently received all of our furniture. An owner or manager called me after I posted my earlier review, apologized for delays and assured my delivery would come soon and that they value their customers.

Overall only about a 2 weeks delay, and all the furniture looks great. I'm glad because I'm going to have this baby any day now! There was some discrepancy with the final payment but it was worked out. Overall I am happy with my experience.

Stay away from this place. They clearly do not understand they are working with expectant parents who have a firm timeline on needing furniture delivered. I was told 10 weeks for delivery. It's been 15 weeks and my baby is due very soon and we still have NO DEFINITE date for shipment or delivery. I was told (and have a voicemail to prove) that my furniture was going to ship from the manufacturer in the middle of last week, and I have come to learn it still has not shipped. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic, high quality, kids furniture, much of it made in America. And the Behr's staff is always helpful. We were tired of Ikea's cheap, shaky furniture, so we decided to make the investment and get our kids quality sets for their rooms. The pieces are gorgeous and built to last for years. We especially love the 'Young America' line which is made here in the US.
